Whether it be the joy infused happiness that everyone was still clinging to, or the natural bounce of the flirting Moon hunter, Dakota was in super high spirits. Though Christmas caroling had faded a bit (out loud, in his mind it was still reeling like a broken record.), the boy non the less felt the joy of being Christmas alive.
Unforuntatly though, because he hadn't thought of it earlier once the holiday started, he had been carrying around a drying mistletoe in his pocket, attempting to find some unsuspecting huntress in the hopes that she would give him a joy filled kissed.
It was what he wanted for Christmas after all.
Either or....a nice long hug with a beautiful huntress. He had a few in mind after all, but....every time he went to make a move, he got intercepted or...snow. Oh look at the shiny outside.
And that's where he headed, outside....laid in the snow....and started to flap his arms and legs. Snooooow Angel~ Would a real snow angel find him outside today? (DISTRACTIONS FOR THE WIN)
Chama shrieked in his head as he continued to flap.
Did he pay any attention? Nope. He was too focused on a snow angel. Oh, did snow angels like mistletoe?

It was pretty weird that neither Dakota nor Eva noticed each other. After all...the girl was perched up in tree that was directly above the spot where Dakota was currently making a snow angel (already, everyone knows exactly what is going to happen within the next few minutes).
Why Eva was in the tree in the first place was debatable. Whatever the case, despite the fact that she was currently sitting on a branch that seemed just strong enough to support her weight, the girl didn't seem at all worried or alarmed. In fact, she was cheerfully humming to herself, eyes bright as she stared out across the land. Everything was so pretty and white and snowy and...
Crack.
There was a tiny noise from the branch beneath Eva, but she didn't seem to notice. Chara, on the other hand, was a lot more aware of what was going to happen if they didn't move. Eva! You have to move quickly! The branch--
Hmmm? What are you talking about, Chara? I don't want to move--the view up here is great--
CRACK.
She let out a sudden yelp as she suddenly found herself falling. Hoping that the snow would break some of the impact, Eva braced herself to hit the ground...
...Only to hit something warm and squishy instead. Something warm, squishy, and...flailing?

Dakota was really into his snow angel making. No really he was. Even his woman radar, something he prided himself on for being able to find a woman in a heartbeat didn't go off as Eva sat high above him.
That was okay though, cause he was making a snow angel, and singing a song inside his head and Chama was screaming. Which probably help drown out the small cracking sound of the branch above him, and the small yelp of a soft body landing on him.
He wasn't going to lie, his automatic reaction was "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Really loudly, body craning forward as something landed straight on his belly. A small gasp and arm flails escape before he looked up and into....
The eyes of a beautiful snow angel. Oh god they existed.
"Thank you sweet baby Jesus in the heavens above for this wonderful present. I promise to take good care of it and to be a good boy from this year on and out." He clapped his hands together and added a quick, "Amen." Odd for a Native american born and raised boy to be saying but...Tis the season.
"Hello there pretty little angel." Dakota smiled up her, enjoying the simple pleasure of a soft body on top of him, reaching out to touch her hair. "Is this a snowy heaven? Cause I am pretty sure a snow angel is sitting on my lap." He grinned ear to ear, bright orange eye's dancing with mischief. WHERE WAS HIS MISTLETOE!?!?

OH, so that's why she wasn't hurt! Someone had broken her fall! While Dakota was praying about something or the other (Eva wasn't exactly paying attention), Eva clapped her own hands together, muttering something about being thankful that God sent this boy to break her fall.
...Yeah.
The sudden pick-up lines caught her off guard, but they also definitely caught her attention, earning a bright laugh from the girl. Of course, that didn't mean that she wasn't worried--after all, she had fallen on Dakota from a rather high distance. Straddling his stomach, she leaned forward to put both hands on either side of his face.
But no, it was nothing like those scenes in shoujo manga. There were no roses or sparkles, and Eva wasn't cradling his cheeks--she was squishing them. Additionally, because she was hyped up on Joy, she looked more...happy than apologetic.
"Oooooh, I'm sorry! Are you okay, still in one piece?"

Okay well obviously line one failed. He'd have to try again for the next one.
"Uh...um." He stared up at her as she leaned in. Oh lord, he didn't even need mistletoe to get a kiss from this angel! It was like God was sending him a message. May your future be blessed with many kisses and angels my son. Thank you God. Thank you.
He was ready, He was so ready.
O3O, His lips continued to outreach for the angels but when, after a moment he didn't feel them, one of his eyes opened as he looked up into the heavenly blues of hers. It was then he realized that he was in fact not going to get a kiss but...his face was currently being squished together.
"Imish alrish." He said as he took her hands gently away from his cheeks before grinning up at her. "Hello there, It's nice to see you here. Name's Dakota Rainstar of the Moon division. Who might you be my Snow angel?" Somewhere along the way of him holding her hand's, he had shifted so he could sit up right and look her over. She was petite but not so petite that she didn't have the womanly curves. Which pleased him, angels we're in fact pretty by fault.
"I've heard of many Christmas miracles but I don't see them falling out of skies. What happened there darling?" He grinned again, wrapping his arms around her waist (he wasn't to groping her yet.....)...

Oh, he was...a pretty nice guy, wasn't he? At least, he didn't seem mad that she had fallen on him (but she had obviously caused him some pain and discomfort--he had been making this strange fish face at her)! She allowed her hands to be moved away, grinning down at him as she introduced himself. "Dakota, huh? I'm Eva Valente, but please just call me Evie."
She was quite obviously unaware of the fact that he was checking her out, and if she had known...well, considering this was Eva? She probably wouldn't have cared that much (though Dakota would have received a small swat on the head, to be sure).
The girl grinned sheepishly at the question, gaze turning upwards towards the tree she had fallen out of. "I was, er, enjoying the scenery when the branch broke beneath me." Leaning forward again, she gave him a pat on the cheek. "Fortunately, you were there to save me, gumdrop."
...Gumdrop?

Evie seemed to ring off with a nice sound, especially as he watched her. If he payed real close attention, he noticed that she still seemed effected by the joy formula. Which was fine cause he was still too.
"Pleasure to have you sitting on me there pretty little Evie." he grinned before looking up at the tree and covering his eyes, "My what a dastardly deed the tree has commited! To think that it couldn't hold the pure beautiful blossom such as yourself." Was he laying it on thick? Hell yeah he was.
Chama finally broke through.
"Gumdrop?" he looked at her, raising an eyebrow before grinning, "How about like...studly gumdrop muffin, or Mr. Sexy gumdrop.....Gumdrops actually sound really good right now." It was then his hand left her waist to trace a gumdrop like...thing in the snow. His stomach grumbled the more he though about it.
Mmmm Gumdrops. Mmmm Angels. Mmmm Snow. So much snow. Snow Gumdrop Angels.
"Hey Snow angel....." He looked over at Evie before smiling, "Do I get a kiss from heaven? Will it taste like gumdrops?" Dude seriously? "I am really hungry though...."

Ooh, he was laying it on thick.
Blossom? Angel? Eva couldn't help bit grin at all the nicknames, trying and failing to bite back her laughter. At the mention of her sitting on him, however, she perked up. She shifted slightly, and--yup, she was definitely still sitting on something warm and squishy. Better get off.
Sliding off of his stomach and into the snow, the girl grinned at Dakota with an amused expression on her face. "Except I weigh a ton more than a blossom, as I'm sure you know." After all, she had landed on him--he knew first hand how heavy she was. At least, she was definitely heavier than a--
Why was she thinking about this? He had just been flirting with her, not being literal!
"Yes," She smiled, "Gumdrop! A-and n-no, not...not any of those other names." Eva had been reduced to giggling, and she solidified her previous assumption that this Dakota guy was really friendly. Silly, too, from the looks of things!
And hungry. "Hmmm! You want to head to the cafeteria, maybe? I'll come with you, Gumdrop!"

Dakota frowned as she slid off before pushing himself up to sit across from her. Snow clung to the back of his coat, melting with his body heat. Oddly enough though, he didn't even pay attention to the cold wetness and was still thinking about Gumdrops.
All the gumdrops.
"I wouldn't say a ton." He stretched before smiling at her, "It just means you know how to make a entrance. Imagine if a true blossom had fallen on me, wouldn't even feel it. Defenitly liked the feel of you." He yawned...one more stretch and then grinned at her.
"Gumdrop." He said again, as if trying to get use to the pet name before frowning. It just didn't...say manly to him. It was like something you named a younger brother or little kid. Oh god. She saw him as a little kid. Or worst...She saw him as one of Santa's little elves. All cute and adorable and s**t.
He looked up though with joyful delight at the mention of going to the cafeteria and grinned. "So we can get hot chocolate....and Gumdrops. AND KISSES." The last part was emphasized with the fullest intent of the chocolate kind, "The kisses filled with mint truffley flavor!" If he didn't think of himself as a kid now, then...well....there was no hope for the boy.

Ahahaha, what a sweet talker this trainee was! Eva couldn't wipe off the amused grin from her face. She really was becoming rather fond of everyone in this place--after all, none of the trainees thus far had really given her a reason to dislike them. She liked to think that they all got along fairly well (even if this may have been far from the truth), and judging by Dakota's personality, she could--and would--definitely consider him to be a friend.
Pushing herself to her feet, Eva pat all the snow from her clothing before holding out both hands towards Dakota. "C'mon then, Gumdrop! Let's get some hot chocolate, and kisses. Lots of kisses." After all, she might have bought herself a large pack when they had been allowed out for Christmas shopping. It wasn't like she was going to finish all of those herself!
"I'm pretty fond of kisses too...or any chocolate, really." Despite the fact she was older than some of the other trainees here, Eva certainly didn't act like it. She could be--and was--pretty immature herself, sometimes.

He took both of her out stretched hands before lifting himself up with her, arching his back and attempting not to slide in the snow. After steadying himself up he held on to one of her hands and started pulling her with him.
Like a young child would his mother.
Like a young child.
Forever a child.
"Hot chocolate <3" He hummed, "chocolate is good too, like all chocolate is good! Who wouldn't enjoy the sweetness of it!" He grinned as he led her in.
To him, this was the start of a beautiful gumdrop friendship. Yes. Gumdrop.
