Because Gwing has been in and out of the hospital, she and I have been RPing the SS Rp when we can over AIM.

It was that time of the year again. When people would throng the streets, searching for that elusive perfect gift for the ones they loved and cared for. Lea knew that this year would be different for him. He had gotten to know and made a few friends at the annual Hallow's Eve Ball. 2 of them students at the academy like himself and.. her. A beautiful and good-natured young witch who had been kind enough to give him a job at her shop. Certainly the least he could do was to gift her with something to show his appreciation for everything that she had been as well as done for him thus far. It was only when he started gift hunting when he realized just how daunting a task it could prove to be. The snow leopard mononoke came to realize that it was no easy feat trying to pick out a gift that another person would like. Should he get her something cute? But what if it wasn't to her liking in the end? Or would she prefer something practical that she could use instead? He had been racking his brains when something behind the display window of the Makai Town alchemia shop caught his attention. Something uncommon that was only available specially during the season. A perfect present for any fan of alchemias. That was what the shop owner had proudly claimed as emeralds studied the queer looking.. creature that had been picked out for his perusal. He had yet to check in with Cedar on her opinion with regards to alchemia but he supposed that it was probably a 'safe' gift to go by. If all else fails, well.. he couldn't possibly abandon it or ask for a refund so he might as well take it in and learn to care for it at the same time. Might make him a better witch at the end of the day. With a neatly wrapped box tucked beneath one arm, Lea gave the door to Cedar's condo a firm knock to announce his arrival before pushing it open to make his entrance."Cedar..?" He called out tentatively as he looked around for said young witch.

Cedar had given her secret santa's gift already and was somewhat expecting hers any time now. But she never guessed that hers was coming from Lea. She had been home doing some cleaning, she had been so busy she let the place go. There was a fire in the hearth, and the holiday lights were all light, and it smelt of apple pie. When the knock came to the door, Cedar glanced over. "Come on in!" She called out. Her arms full of paper that she needed to get rid of.

This was Lea's.. goodness only knew how many times he had been over to Cedar's house during the short period of time that they had both known each other. It wasn't as if they were dating or something along that line but there was always one reason or another that would bring him here. Pushing the door open and then making sure to shut it behind him so as to keep the snow and cold out, he slipped his boots off and set them aside, already well acquainted with what went where from the number of times he had been by. "Cedar..?" He called out tentatively, emeralds casting their gaze about the gaze and softly purring at the delicious aroma of apple pie that hung in the air. "It's Lea. Are you in the kitchen or something..?"

Cedar and was happy to hear that it was Lea. She dropped the papers into a bin, and she brushed herself off. Trying to make herself presentable for him. No matter how often she saw him, she always wanted to look her best. She adjusted her hair, as she rounded the corner with a smile. "Lea~ It's nice to see you." She walked over to him, happy to see that he had made himself at home. "How are you?" She asked ushering him in. "I was just doing some cleaning." She heart skipped a beat when she glanced at his eyes. She felt herself blush lightly, and she tried to calm herself down.

When Cedar came into view, Lea smiled softly at her, first allowing her to guide him further into her abode before stopping in place to hold up the box he had brought in with him. "I um.. found this at your doorstep." Holding out the box to her, he watched her face closely for her reaction, an almost eager to please expression slowly making its way onto his face as he turned the box slightly to show her the label on the wrapping. "It looks like it's addressed to you. Perhaps.. a present from a secret admirer from afar..?" He teased lightly.

Cedar looked over at him. "You found that on my door step?" She raised a brow and reached her hand out to receive it. "And you just happen to be walking by?" She glanced over at him as she stared down at the box. She shook it lightly and she walked by him, tugged him to sit with her on the couch. "I wonder what it is.."

Lea had always been bad at lying and he could have smacked himself over the head at Cedar's questioning the purpose of his visit. Of course there had to be a logical reason for his presence in her house right here and now. Better think quick Lea, lest you really let the cat prematurely out of the bag and ruin the surprise that you had intended for her. "I was in town running some errands so I thought I'd stop by to check in on you. I.. don't suppose I've caught you at a bad time?" He gave her his most innocent look, hoping that she would buy his story and go along with it until the unwrapping of the present subsequently. He really hadn't meant to deceive her or anything, but he just wasn't sure how to go about this.. present giving thing. Taking a seat on the couch next to Cedar, Lea smiled and passed her the box. "Well, only one way to find out right?"

Cedar turned toward him with her body, letting her knees bump into his. She nodded as she listened to him. "Oh of course not. I always like when you come by." She smiled accepting the gift. She fliddled with the ribbon and then pulled it off, and unwrapped it. As she opened the box, she peered in at the card. "A Puichu Ball, I wanted to get one of these."

Lea's cheeks began to flush slightly when he felt Cedar's knees bump against his though not once did the smile on his face falter in any way as he waited patiently for her to unwrap the present. He smiled a little wider upon hearing that not only was the alchemia something that she liked, but it was also something that she had wanted to get all along. Releasing the breath that he wasn't even aware that he had been holding while waiting to see her reaction, he nudged her side gently to get her attention. "Looks like this secret admirer is well aware of your preferences hmm..? Maybe there's a card where he signed off his name or something?"

Cedar placed the card gently down and she put her hand into the box to find a small card. She let her olive eyes read over the card. "From Lea.." She smiled and looked over at him. "Aww Lea." She smiled even brighter at him. "I wasn't even sure anyone would remember something like that. You really listen when I talk." She leaned into him slightly, in appreciation.

Cedar was going to read the card now and Lea had no idea where he should allow his gaze to focus on. Was she going to be mad at him for the set-up? He really dared not speculate the various possibilities too much at this point in time. It was only when it was obvious from Cedar's words that she was happy at what he had done when he finally dared to let his gaze meet hers. He gave her a small smile, moving one of his arms around her back to lightly hold her close. "I couldn't really help myself. I.. wanted to get something that you'll like. Make you happy.." He admitted sheepishly.

Cedar blushed lightly, at his slight embrace. They had gotten fairly close over the last couple of months. They were together almsot everyday. She tucked a rogue strand of hair behind her ear, and she laughed softly. "Lea, you always seem to know." Even though it was a simple gift in terms of matrial it was meant so much more because it was from him. She glanced into his eyes for a moment before she blushed, quickly looking away. Whenever he looked at her lately, she couldn't help but blush.

Cedar's laughter was like a nightingale's song to Lea's ears. Such a lovely uplifting voice she had and he had grown to enjoy listening to with the amount of time that they had both spent together. And somewhere deep within his heart he sincerely hoped that it would always be laced with joy much like how it was right now. "Nah... I'm not a mind reader. You know that telepathy has never been my forte at the academy Cedar." He tugged her a little closer to him, a soft blush dusting his cheeks as he kept his hold light so that she could pull back should she choose to do so. He would not do anything against her wishes. He just couldn't...

Cedar laughed, placing the gift down. "This is true... I don't know many that are actually." She pondered the idea. When he tugged her closer she didn't notice to much, she certianly didn't mind it. But what was strange was that, she started noticing that she wanted to spend more time with him. After fiddling with the box, she put that down as well. She glanced over at him... Even though he had given her a gift now, she still hoped that he would come to the party. And when she looked at him, she realized just how close they had gotten physically. She jumped with a bit of a startle. "O-oh... I-i was hoping to save your gift for the party.. If that's okay."

Cedar didn't pull back. Well, not initially any way so Lea just held her close, not moving the entire time lest he encroached further into her personal space. Not that she gave any indication of it being unwanted thus far, but it was not a gentlemanly thing to assume as such. "Neither do I. I believe that they're as rare as, if not rarer than, mononokes though they'll likely be a force to reckon with."

The young mononoke felt Cedar jump first, her muscle twitching beneath his hand before he actually saw her carry out the action. He continued smiling at her, his hand releasing his hold on her so that she could put more distance between the both of them if she so wished as his head nodded a few times in agreement with what she had proposed. "That's perfectly fine by me since I'll be there after all. I don't suppose you'll need any help with the preparations and such..?"

Lately, Cedar often found herself close to Lea, physically like this. He was a male, and feline at that. Maybe he was just being... Protective? She tried not to over think this... It lead her to confusing things she hadn't thought of before. Often leaving her in a daze. But she never pulled away from him either. Something felt strangely natural, until she started to over think it.

She closed her eyes trying to gather her thoughts again. Party... The party. She gave him a smile, opening her eyes. "Oh I think I should be fine. I want to surprise everyone." She wiggled in her seat with a bit of excited me. "I'll have to make sure I show everyone this present." She nodded toward the card.

"I'm not keeping you from finals am I?"

There were times when Lea would ponder over every single action and their implications. Then there were times when he simply reacted much like how a predator would act in accordance with its instincts without much thought. This. Was one of those times. He found that he enjoyed Cedar's company greatly. The time that they had spent together at her shop, though it was out of a sense of duty and responsibility towards the part-time job he had taken up there at the beginning gradually evolved into something that he looked forward to on the weekends as well as during his school breaks.

Something a little stronger than what he felt towards Kei and Lulu, and he wondered at times if she felt likewise towards him as well. Some day he would muster up the courage to ask her. Talk about what he felt but as of now, he was content to leave things be. A little... fearful that anything he spoke of now would break whatever enchantment or spell that now hung the air between them.

"It is your present so you can do whatever you want with it. Just let me know if you ever change your mind and decide that you need help with anything, okay?" He felt his ears twitch at her question, his head already shaking gently a few times as he gave her side a pat before shifting to get up from the couch. As much as he wanted to stay a little longer, there were things he needed to do before returning to his dorm back at the academy. "Not really but there're some things I need to check out in town prior to heading back. I'll um... see you at the shop tomorrow then?"

She blinked at him, watching his face, she felt a little sad inside that he had to leave but such was life. As he got up, cool air flowed in against her, and she gave a small shiver. Lea was always so warm... Probably the feline part of him. Standing to walk him to the door, she patted at her dress.

"Yes tomorrow." She smiled some. "It'll probably be a bit busy with last minute shoppers." She laughed lightly, walking to to his side into the welcome area to open the door for him. She wanted to reach out and tell him to stay, her hand stopping before it came into his line of sight. She quickly shook her head. That was strange... She scratched her cheek and pondered not noticing what she was standing under.

Cedar might not be aware of it herself but there were times such as this when whatever she felt would show on her face and Lea couldn't help but feel a pang of regret that he was the one causing it. It had to be unless something else was weighing her mind so. He gave a soft sigh when his gaze met hers for the briefest of moments. "Likely so and they all know where to go for the best produce in town." He wanted so much to reach out and tuck that stray lock of hair back behind her ear where it belonged, but he knew better than to do that. He just might give in to the urge to hold her close and not leave in order to do what he needed to.

A hesitant look on her lovely face as she stepped to his side so that she could open the door for him. Such a considerate and pleasant host that she was, which was partly why such... feelings had developed within him so quickly without him noticing even. Emeralds glanced up instinctively when he noticed the look that was on her face and he muttered a soft 'oh' at the sight of the mistletoe that hung above them both. It was a well known custom that any man and woman who met under the mistletoe had to kiss which meant that they...

The young mononoke could already feel his cheeks burning before his mind completed that sentence for him. Well, it really wouldn't do for them to break the tradition now, would it? Wouldn't really want to end off the year with a 1000 year old curse that could potentially outlast either of them in this lifetime. Not that Lea had read of any thus far, but he certainly didn't want to take his chances with it. He took a step closer to Cedar and blinked, a soft look on his face as he leaned forward to press a chaste kiss to her lips, his cheeks as red as a beetroot the moment he was done before he hurriedly bade her a good evening and slipped out the door as if nothing had happened...
