Ok, here's how it works.
1) Someone will post quotes from an episode of any Star Trek series, or any Star Trek movie. Only one episode/movie will be up for guessing at a time, but I reserve the right to move it along if someone else is posting quotes and suddenly drops off the face of the earth or otherwise never follows up with another quote.
2) Posters will try to guess which episode/movie it is. We are still on the Honor System. "The first duty of every Starfleet officer is to the truth." So, if you are POSTING the quotes, you should look up the episode/movie you are quoting to get the quotes right. If you are GUESSING the quotes, you must NEVER look up the episode because that's cheating. If you can't wait and must look it up, you will be unable to answer and must sit out until someone else gets that one.
3) The quotes should be direct quotes that were aired in the official version and not from a script, novelization, or what-have-you, so long as those quotes were not actually in the episode/movie. This guild is in English, so the quotes should be from the English version of it -although if the English version has a quote in any other language, that quote is fair game for posting so long as it was spoken exactly with those words in the aired version.
4) Quotes should preferably be at least 1 full sentence, because really short phrases are generally too generic to guess. Quotes should probably go from harder to guess, to easier to guess, once people are guessing, to make it more challenging and more fun (and fair.)
5) Other people besides me can post quotes. If they get correctly identify the current episode, (and it was confirmed), they get first crack at posting the next round. If they don't want to, they can release it as a Free Post. That means anyone can post the next round-although I can post the next one, of course.
Ready? Let's go!

I'd like to play. I'll start with something easy. "Please Spock, do me a favor and don't say it's fascinating."

xXSuperWhateverXx I'd like to play. I'll start with something easy. "Please Spock, do me a favor and don't say it's fascinating." I'm sure he'll let it slide, but it's HIS turn, per the rules in the first post. This sounds familiar, but I'm not flashing to the correct episode.

Please either post one or more additional quotes or something. We can't play if the thread isn't moving.

It's obviously from the original series, but a lot of us are not so strong on the original series.
I'm actually in the process of watching every single episode of every single series. I'm currently in TNG, and at the current rate will need a few years to make it through all the series' one time. But I'll see a lot I never saw before,,,,

Ok, the previous poster's obviously stuck in transport, so we'll move on. next episode:
"Are you questioning my judgment, Commander?" "As First Officer it's my responsibility to point out what may be mistakes in the actions of the commanding officer. Sir." "Then maybe it's time you found other responsibilities. You're relieved."
"Shall we begin again? How many lights are there?" "What lights?"

Of course, the first quote comes from the same episode. That was Captain Jellico and Riker having an "exchange." Having rewatched the episode, I have to wonder who Jellico slept with to get to be a captain. He's COMPLETELY unsuited for Command. You want to post the next one?

Apparently not.
Ok, next one.
""You'll be fine. It's just a flesh wound." "That was awfully close. What if you'd killed me?" "What makes you think I wasn't trying?"

I notice this is rather dead, but I'd like to slightly answer this one. Its from Deep Space Nine, and its Bashir and Garak, I have no clue what the episode name is though. But I do remember Garak saying "Doctor, I do believe there's hope for you yet." xd
