you know how WWE works. they seem to forget none of their biggest stars became stars immediately, and some of their longest running champions were champion during the lowest ratings and buyrates period. for example, they let JBL run with the WWE title and HHH with the world heavyweight titles for the better part of 2004 and into 2005. during these times, they had some of their lowest ratings since WCW started kicking their a** in the late 90s. ratings came up eventually, but WWE doesn't want to take the time to let champions run with it when the crowd is into them anymore.
they also seem to forget the competion they get from football and other crap like that which always makes their ratings suck. so get ready for another cena or orton run, damn it all

wasn't saying i didn' t like him. he's actually one of my favorite heels. just saying that despite what he said on camera, he wasn't actually quite as big of a draw. buyrates for PPVs during his reign sucked, despite having better storylines than most of the crap we get now

yah... It's always sort of hard to come to terms with the fact that what makes good storyline/tv isn't always necessarily whats good for ratings, atleast in short term... Like, I love the WWE, but I still think they've got a bit of a weakness in long term booking. Sometimes ya gotta make a sacrifice G.
