 Raust had been talking about his ‘special friend’ so much that it was driving Moon crazy. Sure it was nice that Raust had another friend. Moon was concerned though. Who knows what this friend was like and Raust was well. Defenseless, slow, yeah any of that would work. The deer fox found this frustrating and was taking a walk to calm down. Raust was sleeping under that damn peach tree of his mumbling in his sleep about being stuck but happy. Moon shook his head annoyed just thinking aobut it. He was the one who always took care of Raust and kept the fox from ending up following their foolish friend Pan out in human territory and into trouble. When had this ‘specail friend’ snuck in and started messing with Raust? Raust even kissed Moon when Moon came back to the clearing that night and said it was what ‘friends’ do. What else had been taught ‘friends’ do? Raust rolled over in his sleep below the peach tree. He was dreaming of Northland the only fox who took such care and pains to make sure he felt good.

 Northland wandered back into the same forest he had found months before and down the same paths and over the same roots only this time it was different. This time there wasn't a deer foxes cute little tail staring him in the face. Moving this way and that and totally stealing his whole attention. He stumbled a bit as he remembered how the rest of that evening went but it made him smile. Raust had seemed to like and had invited him back saying he wanted him to meet some one.
Just as he thought he wouldn't find him there he was under the peach tree sleeping and moving around in his sleep. Chuckling he walked up to Raust and licked his cheek whispering in his ear "Hey sleepy wake up."

Raust’s eyes opened slowly and looked up into the most amazing wondrous sight, Northland’s mask. He rolled over so that his belly was below him and stood up swiftly. His eyes wide and alert with his tail twitching. “Ah! Northland. I wasn’t sure you’d come. I hope you didn’t have any trouble coming. How long was I sleeping?” Raust hadn’t remembered falling asleep, but he was so shocked and surprised about seeing his special friend that he was wide awake now. He moved forward and rubbed his face against Northland’s fur just behind the mask as a way of greeting.
Moon was still grumbling when he decided to head back to the peach tree where he had left that sleeping moron. Hopefully he could explain to Raust that what was going on was not something that ‘friends’ did and perhaps he’d convince Raust never to see the one who corrupted him again. He heard some noise from the peach tree as he approached so he stopped and listened worried.

Northland stood by Raust side as he woke up slowly. It made him chuckle, he sure was a sleepy head now wasn't he? "Why wouldn't I come? You wanted me to come right?" He asked teasingly. Glancing about he answered "Well I've been here a few minutes but I could only guess to an hour or so that you've been asleep. Why do you ask?"Unknown to him that another was approaching them.

Raust nodded up and down a few times. Of course he wanted Northland to be here with him. Northland made him feel happy and amazed no matter what. With Northland here in the flesh it only made Raust’s insides jump and hop around even more. His ear’s twitched as he wondered. Did what Northland said mean that he had only been there for a little while or that he had been here longer and it only seemed like a few minutes. Raust knew from experience that waiting could seem longer or shorter depending on what was being waited for. “I just didn’t want to you to sit there being bored and while I slept. It wouldn’t seem right.”
Moon groaned to himself. Raust was talking normally and seemed at ease. It was strange that Raust could talk to any fox but some creep looking brown fox well this could only be Raust’s ‘special friend.’ This was going to be horrible. He stepped into the clearing his throat and then walked slowly toward the pair of foxes his tail was twitching and he was taking a circular route to get to Raust so he wouldn’t have to go too close to Northland.

Northland waved it off with his paw. "Don't fret about it. I really wasn't here to long and if I was it wouldn't have mattered. If I would have gotten bored I would have found a way to wake you up," he said with a wink. He was all cheery until that was he heard someone clear their throat behind him. That made his ears go down slightly like a kit getting caught stealing a treat before dinner but he quickly regained himself and looked back to watch the other fox. He had to do a double take the fox looked just like Raust. "Hello," He said than to Raust " You didn't tell me you were a twin."

Raust nodded happy to see Northland looking so enthusiastic. It was hard to see any smile behind that mask, but Raust could see Northlands’s eyes and to the deer fox that was even better than a smile. “I wouldn’t have minded you waking me up. I promise…” he would have said more but Moon cleared his throat and walked over. It was strange for Moon to just walk right up to others. Raust knew hat Moon had issue with strange foxes that was why he stopped talking to Pan a while ago when Pan started to suggest things like going for a quick ‘raid’ and stealing food from humans with Pan’s mate. Moon didn’t say that the vixen Pan paired with was bad, rather he said something like ‘just perfect for each other thieving crazies the both of them.’ Raust never met Pan’s mate so he wasn’t sure what she was like. Still he knew his friend Northland and liked him a lot. “oh Moon and I aren’t twins….”
“We’re not even related.” Moon cut him off standing next to Raust and staring at the masked fox. “So then care to introduce me to this one Raust?” Moon would not say friend about this fox who seemed so suspicious when the deer-fox had cleared his throat.

"Oh my mistake. I'm sorry but you two look so much a like it has a high possibility,"North said to Raust in a charming way. Though he could tell the other deer fox didn't like him. He wasn't exactly sure why. "Sooo would you like me to start?" he asked not really sure what to do.

“Oh I don’t think that I’d like you to start anything fox. Raust has had more than information from you.” He shook his head annoyed with the other fox. “He even kissed me saying that was what friends do. I wonder where he got that idea.” Moon gave the other fox a deep look.
Raust blushed. “I’m sorry. I really did think that was what special friends did. I didn’t mean to upset you Moon.” Ruast looked sadly at Moon not really sure what to do since he had said sorry. He looked to Northland wondering what he should do or say. Moon was grumpy

Northland noticed the sad look on Raust face and gently nudged his cheek trying to reassure him. "Well obviously you have a problem with me before knowing me so there for you have a bias opinion of me which I can not change no matter what I want. I said that's what special friends do. I didn't say everyone its not my fault that's how he took it though are you really going to continue to be mad at him for tryin to show you how much you mean to him even if it had been an UN-normal way. So are you going to continue to be a bad friend and make him feel bad for what he did or are you going to be a good friend and forgive him for the accident?"

Moon looked at the b*****d fox infront of him incredibly annoyed. Why was this jerk trying to sound so nice and logical when he had caused so much trouble? “I did forgive him. I don’t forgive you.” Moon tossed his head making his horns jerk through the air.
Raust moved toward North’s side and looked at Moon. “Noth is right, but even if you forgive me, please also forgive Northland. After all he was just being nice to me.” Raust licked the spot just behind Northland’s mask and stayed close next to his special friend’s side giving Northland his support. He knew that Moon would get over it, he just needed some time.

"Again you came into this meeting today with already a baist opinion of me and not wanting to hear a word I say. Nor do I care if you like me or not or forgive me for showing him how I feel. It matters not but what does matter is if because you don't and continue to be like this and cause Raust emotional harm. Than we will have a problem." Nothland's voice held all seriousness and no sign of his normal joking self. He took a deep breath and gently bumped heads with Raust.

Feeling a quarrel start Raust nudged Northland and then smiled. “Don’t worry Northland I’m ok.” He looked back at Moon who was clearly hurt not by Northland’s words, but rather by Raust’s actions. He just knew it. “Don’t worry Moon I’ll be ok. I promise.” His ears flicked softly back and forth a few times. He wanted to ease the stress that even he could feel developing.
“Oh I think your tune toward me is more than to injure Raust more than I ever could.” Still seeing Raust looking distressed Moon bite off what was sure to be a long tirade of insults and comments. “It would pointless for me to stay here with you two. Good bye Raust. I’m not mad at you, nor will I ever be. I just hope you ‘special friend’ explains things to you completely before he ruins you.” He didn’t bother saying goodbye to the creep who was irritating him. He walked past the pair and started off into the woods to think. He needed to get away from this place.

Northland bit back his remark by grinding his teeth together. He kind of wanted to tear into the other dear fox for being such well lack of a better word a donkey. He watched as Moon left glaring at him. Not that the other fox would be able to tell thanks to his mask. He sat there quietly not saying anything. He didn't trust himself to say anything. Because what would come out of his mouth wouldn't be nice. What he wanted to do was beat Moon but didn't because it would upset Raust.

Raust flinched as he looked at Northland. The other fox was so incredibly still. It was scary. A shiver ran along his spine causing the hairs on his back to stand straight up. His voice was quite. “ Northland? Are you alright?” He edged away from Northland so that he could circle around to the front of his special friend and look directly into the holes of the mask. He was so intent on looking at Northland that he didn’t even realize how close he leaned in. The bottom tines of his horns were brushing along the top of Northland’s head. Where the mask not in the way the two would have been very close.
