Gloved hands were stuffed into pockets, further warming the slender digits and hands they were attached to. Tonight was a night to be spent by himself and not working, the snow was gently falling as opposed to the previous evening where it had fallen hard and the wind had whipped the cold white stuff all around. His coat was pulled tight about himself, right now he wished for warmer clothing, even as he shook the snow from his long damp hair. This was the one thing, aside from a lack of warm enough clothing, damp and wet hair with snow tangled into the locks of blond. He had a sweater on under his coat and his coat was buttoned up, a scarf filled the space which was left by his coat, the collar was even flipped up.
Shuddering, a shiver racing up his spin, his hands clenched for a moment as he continued. He wanted to enjoy the evening, even though the cold and wetness of his hair made it hard to enjoy things. The snow gently falling though was so nice, Lily would kill him if he tracked snow and water into their house late - he'd have to handle her complaining to him about the water. He'd also need a hot shower, or bath maybe.
His thoughts were moving around to various things as he walked down the sidewalk, he really didn't think any senshi would be out on such a cold night; not with their cold and skimpy uniforms.

Sailor Virtus was pretty sure he could do this. He was asked to and that was good enough to send him on his way.
He probably should have asked a few more questions, however. He had done his very best to listen attentively, to take notes, and usually he was very good about it. But all this was so far outside his idea of normal he quickly realized... he had no idea what he was doing.
Whatsoever.
He did remember that he was supposed to drain energy from people. How he did that was not too clear, but he was hoping, and very positive that, he would figure it out when the time came. He was usually pretty good about doing things on the fly.
He had no worries.
He spotted someone walking down the quiet sidewalk and moved to take his chance. But what was he supposed to do? He'd stop the guy, and take it from there. Virtus style.
"Hold on a minute, please!"

Was someone calling to him? A glance around confirmed that no one was around, so it had to be him. Stopping Alexandre slowly turned, blond bangs whipping across his face leaving wet trails in their wake as the wet locks were brushed away. Finally his gave landed on...a senshi? But who's senshi? He couldn't sense them as a civilian so he was clueless.
Was this some white moon senshi out to warn him about being out alone late at night? Or was this one of their senshi, or their allies senshi? He was clueless and really wasn't sure if he wanted to power up himself and give away who he was, not if this might be some white moon senshi. He was careful about keeping his second life, his other self, a secret. He had already, long ago, decided he couldn't even date a normal civilian. So this possible risk wasn't something he liked the idea of.
"Can I help you?" Best to try and act normal, to wait it out and see. A glance over the uniform, and the individual wearing it, told him they were new. They seemed...too innocent, like they hadn't seen death or killed. Though he could be wrong, one could always be wrong.

Grant caught up to him, surprised he wasn't feeling too puffed out from the short run. Being powered up gave him a boost of stamina, it seemed, though he only felt stronger in that kind of sense. Speed, some strength, stamina. But he was certain he could not hurt anyone even if he wanted to.
Which he didn't.
Ever.
Unless his Queen or his superiors (which he considered every other member of his court to be) asked him to, of course. He would do anything they asked him to. They saved him and Lydia, their Queen did, and these powers he had been given. He would do them proud, and make them happy. So he would do the tasks set out for him.
As best he could.
"I need your energy, if you don't mind," he said politely, "I was hoping you might spare me some, it would really help me out."

Laughing he smiled at the other, shaking his head lightly even. "You are polite, and I thought I had manners." He spoke as he looked the other over, now he knew what side he was on. No senshi of the white moon would talk about gathering energy, though he didn't know anyone who would ask either.
"I would offer my energy, however I do have need of it I fear. Right now to keep warm, it is quite cold out. While I don't have any other reason, and I should offer my energy right over, I'd rather gather then give." A shrug of his shoulders. "You see, you have unfortunately found another on your side of this war, though I'm not currently seeking energy myself." He spoke, while looking around, maybe he should prove it to the other, and maybe stay with him till he called it a night? It would be the proper thing to do, whether he was a negaverse agent, a corrupted senshi, or one of the Dark Mirror's own.
"Would you like me to join you tonight?"

Virtus looked a little like a puppy, or more accurately a rabbit. He was innocent as they came, and he had no idea what he was doing. Right or wrong.
He smiled when he heard he had found someone on his team. That was what he meant, right?
"Oh! You're like me? Good! I was a little lost, I have to admit, I wasn't sure how to get the energy out of you, anyway. But that's okay! I was told I would pick it up and I'm sure I will. They keep showing me, it's my fault I don't remember everything. But I'm trying!"
He looked delighted, even as he admitted that he was not very good at his new job.
Not yet, anyway, but he was certainly sure he'd get the hang of it some time.
"Thank you for offering. Are you sure you're not doing anything right now? Can I help you with that first? I don't mind!" Now he was offering what would have been a target his assistance. But at least he knew that they were on the same side.

"I'm something like you, I'm not a senshi. I am however a servant of chaos like you." Smiling Alexandre's slate colored eyes darted about as he sought some place to hide as he powered up, he knew better than to do it out in the open; even though he had drained someone in a very public place and even a group of people. He knew better than to risk his civilian and powered forms being connected by someone.
"We gather energy in different ways, though I have seen how you and your team do it. It's rather interesting, unfortunately I don't think I can help you...but perhaps it will just come to you. All I know is those like you use mirrors they pull out, I'm not sure how they get them to work." Maybe he should ask Leto, he really needed to see her and work with her more.
Laughing as he found a place he motioned the other to follow him. "I'm quite sure I had no plans, aside from wandering tonight, and even if I did duty and helping those on the side of chaos comes first. It wouldn't be wise to leave someone new out on their own." Dark Mirror, Negaverse, Corrupted senshi, they were all on the same side and treated the same by the blond Captain. He figured if they were all serving chaos and working together it was good to look out for, train, and protect everyone on your side, no matter if they were a chaos serving senshi or a negaverse agent. They were all on the same side, even if their views on the white moon senshi differed.
"Come, I'll power up and we'll work the night together." A smile flashed to his fellow blond.

"Oh, I see!" He nodded his head. He had seen some evidence of other sides in all this mess called a war, but he didn't know how things broke down precisely, not yet. He was learning slowly but surely, and he would be up to speed eventually.
Probably.
"Well, that's alright! Maybe you can show me how you do it? Even if we don't do the same thing, you still have to get people to give you their energy, don't you? I'd love to see you work, I bet you're really good at it! It would teach me so much, you have no idea."
He smiled brightly, not complimenting just for the sake of it. He really did imagine the young man was good at his job: he spoke with confidence and he seemed to know exactly what he was talking about. He knew of their differences, at least, and had known enough to see Virtus was very new to all this.
Like that hadn't been obvious, but that was beyond the point by now.
He followed like a trained puppy, nodding his head and eager to see this new friend in action. He had not had any direct interaction with the Negaverse, so this was exciting and new for him. He was easy to excite, sure, but at least he never had to fake his interest in anything he tried. And he wasn't scared of new things. So this whole dark senshi thing? It was an adventure.

For a moment he couldn't help but think of how innocent Bazzite seemed, this one seemed nearly as innocent; if not just as innocent. It was rather...charming and refreshing. A small sigh of happiness left him as he turned into a small alley way, filled with the garbage cans of the people in the upper class apartment building.
Once safe and inside the alley he let his own transformation take place. Nice new clothing, just as nice and proper of style as his previous civilian clothing. For him it seemed his style and sense of taste followed from civilian to agent, he was glad for that really. Someone up there, if anyone was up there, seemed to have decided to bestow upon him a fitting uniform. It was something he was still grateful for, though come this summer he might not be so happy....
"I can show you how we gather energy, perhaps you can try to do some gathering of your own. If you cannot get it tonight perhaps some training with Leto, she's quite talented." She was talented and knew just what she was doing and needed to be done. He got the impression that she was leadership quality and should be some sort of a leader, she just...there was something about her and how she handled things. With people like her on the Dark Mirror Court's side it wouldn't be long before they had even more senshi, white moon senshi, on their side.
"I'm only good at it because I go out often, perhaps even too often." He had been working on cutting back, only three or four nights a week. He had learned moderation.

Virtus watched as Benitoite powered up, noticing the differences in the way he seemed to be able to. He didn't have a pen, for one, and his clothes were much different. The whole show just confirmed that they were not the same type of soldier, as the Negaverse agent had told him.
But seeing was believing, even if Virtus had fully taken him at his word. Now he just did so twice.
"I'll ask her! Or Navi, when I see her next," he smiled dumbly. He knew he would be seeing both of them soon, since he was dating the later and Navi lived with Leto. At least he had access to the resources he needed: it was just imposing and asking them to help him that was his biggest hurdle. They all seemed busy with their own things, and he wanted to help them.
It seemed strange to ask for help, but he also knew that if he didn't he would never be able to return the favor and do them proud.
Virtus smiled and nodded his head enthusiastically.
"Thank you very much! I'm sure just watching will be really good! I'll take all the mental notes I can. I tried to bring a notebook to write in, but it disappeared when I powered up. But that's alright! I can remember things pretty well, and I'll pay really good attention, I promise." He beamed.

It was good that he knew Leto, and whoever Navi was. Knowing others, those who could help him, was very good. He hoped tonight by watching him the new dark mirror senshi would try and perhaps even get down energy gathering, and even gather some. "Good, if you see Leto then tell her I give her my warmest regards. I haven't seen her in a while, something I need to correct to be honest." Perhaps they could go out shopping, or something else that was normal and typical of two teenagers. He'd ponder that later, right now he had energy to gather and a senshi to keep company.
Shaking his head, laughter bubbling up, he smiled at the other. "It's not a problem. I'm more than happy to help someone on our side of this war. After all if we all learn to do our best it's less likely we'll be defeated and hopefully it's equally as unlikely to have many members hurt." Make each member strong and they all were strong and would be hard to beat, and it would be hard for any member to be injured. He didn't want to see or hear of injured members, especially those who were new and hurt because of a lack of knowledge. Tonight he'd make sure the newer fighter was safe and learned whatever he could learn from this.
"The same can be said for us, items don't come with us. However, if you were to set it down, and not keep it on your person, you can pick it up once you've powered up. I have done it with hot drinks before and with a notebook. It's something to remember, but it is good to be willing to take notes which you can go over later." Praising the other for thinking to write down information, it was a good idea and very smart to do.
"Come now, let's see what energy we can get." Smiling he laid a hand on the others shoulder.

Virtus nodded his head, storing the greeting for later. If he did see Leto, he would remember to let her know. He'd hope to, anyway: he always tried his best. His attention span was a little short sometimes, and his memory with it, but his enthusiasm aided him and he hoped that just seeing Leto would remind him what he needed to know.
"Oh that would have been a good idea! I didn't know it would just vanish because I was holding it, but I'll remember next time!" He laughed. That made perfect sense, of course, now that he understood how it worked. Well. Not how. Just that it happened.
He was not a guy that needed the details to accept something. It made life easier to deal with. And much easier to be happy through. Denial was a nice place, most of the time, though he would never know to call it that.
He nodded his head, smiling. He could tell that the other soldier of chaos had a stronger power signature than Virtus himself, and of course from a different team. Still, that meant he deserved respect, and Grant did his best. He trotted along with him, looking around for someone to get energy from.
Borrow it, as he was coming to know it.

"It's fine, a simple thing you didn't know. Now you do." A wave of his hand, it was a simple little thing and you learned from experience, as well as other peoples lessons, so he'd learned from experience that things in hand, or on person, didn't follow you through powering up. He had as well. Now he knew if he needed to bring something, or wanted a coffee and had to be powered down to purchase it, he needed it out of his hand when he powered up.
"Another good thing is that any dirty, or damage, done to our uniforms is repaired between when the damages are incurred and when we next power up. So you never need to worry about damages taken to your uniform and remaining." That had been a nice surprise when he'd gotten dirty while rolling about on the ground with that senshi next to the bar, god he'd been so dirty after that! "So they won't go falling apart over time." His would other wise be a dirty uniform covered in who knows what along with his own blood, a slice in it, and whatever else. He was sure others uniforms would be falling apart at the seams though, they had been around longer and thus gained more injuries and more damages to clothing was taken.
"Tell me something, I didn't ask earlier so forgive my lack of manners. But what is your name? I gained the name Benitoite upon my entrance into the Negaverse." A smile given to the other as they moved down the street, his own eyes leaving the others figure as he sought out someone to grab for some energy.

Virtus nodded his head and listened intently. This was very important to him, and he was keen on learning.
Everything.
"Oh! That's good! I would really hate to ruin these clothes. They're so nice, and I feel like they were a gift, but I didn't know how I was ever going to wash them because I can't really power down and still have them, and I wasn't sure if magic needs to be handwashed or in a machine."
It was unlikely that he was joking.
"My name is Virtus! Senshi of Kindness. It's very nice to meet you, Benitoite. I like that name! Do you think it fits you very well?" He wasn't familiar that they were named after stones, or that it was a particular kind itself. He often wondered why his name was Virtus, though it felt right and he liked it a lot.

Oh god! He couldn't help laughing as he thought about standing around, naked ad powered up, while his clothing was in the washer and then fretting over if he should dry it or not. And if not hanging around while it air dried. The mental image of it was funny as hell really, how could it not be? Maybe he could pull on a towel, he didn't think normal clothing could be worn while powered up...though he could be wrong. He'd worried as well, over ruining his uniform, that first night or two.
"I guess in a sense they are a gift. I think they somehow fit us, personality wise." At least he knew his did. It suited his personal taste, and it seemed Gently's did as well. He didn't know about others though. But they were certainly more diverse than senshi uniforms, which was something to be glad for.
"I doubt it fits me, my name. It seems those of us working for the Negaverse are named for minerals. So I don't think such a thing a person can fit, aside from maybe the mineral being a favorite color. In which case than yeah, I happen to like blue." A shrug and a smile from him.
Crossing the street his pace picked up as he spotted someone not far ahead of them, just leaving a building. "Shall I, or do you want this one?"
