Molly, Elias, Sean and Penelope, despite their differences, all got one thing in common; their passion for mysteries. Thanks to Sean's rich father, the four teens get a free vacation to Egypt and an exclusive opportunity to join inn on some archaeological digging. By chance, they discover a brand new tomb, a rather large one, filled with treasures. Penelope's kleptomaniac nature spurs forth, and while nobody is looking, she steals a necklace, and before you know it, things go bad. The boys' hotel room get flooded with bugs, the girls' beds start levitating, all the local milk products gets spoiled... time to return it. In the night, the four friends sneak back and just as they put it back, everything goes black. As they woke up, they discovered that just returning what was lost wasn't enough. Poor Molly ended up as a half human - half cat creature, Elias has now the tail of a scorpion, Penelope is back to being blonde and... Sean is just fine it appears. The four decide it's high time they get away from the tomb, and stumble out. Too bad just being cursed isn't the only thing going on; they've traveled back in time. Back to Ancient Egypt. What now?

Hair: Pale brunette, shoulder length, no fringes, parted on her left side.
Body: Very slim, not very curvy, average height. Round face.
Eyes: Pale blue.
Voice and speech: Rather high pitch, sounds almost like a cartoon character. Uses the phrase "sorry" a lot.
Other: Molly is a very plain average jane. Her looks ain't bad, she's quite cute, but she doesn't do anything with herself so she's easy to miss in a crowd.
About: Molly grew up in rather normal household in Seattle, together with her mother, father and younger sister. At the age of 10, Molly lost her mother to cancer, leaving her a bit shy and distant. As she entered middle school, she ended up in the same class as Elias, and she befriended the rest of the group a little later. Overall Molly is a rather good girl; she always does as she's told, always polite and helpful when someone needs it. She doesn't say much due to her shy nature, but she's a great friend. She often worries over trivial things, and it's not uncommon for her to have a mental breakdown when things get a little rough. She closely bonds with people and due to this, she has problems believing anyone she knows will ever harm her. Molly's dark side is her tendency to hold grudges. She's a firm believer that humans are habit animals, and what they do once, they will do twice. If you leave her with a bad impression, most likely it won't change unless something drastic happens. She's not very confident when in crowds, and because of her small fear that people might not like her, she has developed the habit of apologizing for everything.
Habits: Biting her nails, walking in circles when worried, apologizing for everything she does, sing the the shower, dancing in front of the mirror.
Hobbies: Collecting small animal figurines.
Talent: Amazing singer and dancer.
Likes: Fur (on animals, not clothing or shoes).
Loves: Cats, sleeping, wasting her time doing whatever she likes.
The big crush: Has yet to developed a crush on someone. Doesn't feel mature enough for such things.
Dislikes: Bad weather, too much heat.
Hates: Math, she was never good at it.

Curse: She became a half human - half cat. Her body remains that of a human, but her head, hands and feet is that of a cat. No human hair left on her; she's covered in a small layer of light brown fur/fluff instead. She got a tail as well, which keeps her new body in balance. As a halfling, Molly's moves has become a bit more agile and smooth, which has improved her dancing a lot. Unfortunately, the new form has also made her a lot more sensitive to sound and smells, and it's very stressing on her. She can't grab things as well either anymore. She's not very comfortable with her new form, and she often cries about it and hides herself under clothing as best as she can. She still has the ability to speak, but how that is possible is a bit of a mystery. Molly has also developed a new habit; purring, which she keeps freaking out about when people point it out.
Relationship with:
Elias - These two are like water and ice; they go great together and they're the best of friends. They're currently neighbors, and they often visit each other to exchange silly ideas or just eat. He is probably Molly's best friend, as he often helps her out when she's nervous. After the curse, Molly bonded even more with Elias, as he had somewhat turned into a 'monster' as well. She doesn't view him any different then before.
Sean - Molly is a bit unsure about him still. Sean is a little too lively for her, but she really enjoys his sense of humor and his positive attitude.
Penelope - BFFS! <3 <3 <3 Molly adores Penelope, her sassy style and confidence. She won't let her stay at her house though; she's fully aware of her kleptomaniac behavior and she doesn't want her stuff to go missing. This is also why Molly refuses to go shopping with Penelope.
Group roll - Molly is the one who everybody confines inn with their troubles, as she's an excellent listener.

Other: Elias is British, but moved to America as a 10 year old boy. Owns a tarantella, Alice, and an emperor scorpion, Oliver.
Hair: Black, messy, shoulder length.
Body: Rather short and lanky. Oval shaped face, thin nose and thick eyebrows. Ebony skin.
Eyes: Dark brown.
Voice and speech: Very deep and soft, so he can sometimes be a little hard to understand unless he speaks up a little. Uses "meh" a lot.
Other: He has two scars on his hands from a biking accident.
About: Elias was born and raised in Manchester, England. His parents divorced too early for him to remember, and he ended up with his father. What went wrong between his parents is unknown. His father remarried quite quickly, and Elizabeth became his second mother without any issues. At the age of ten, Elias' father got a new job in the US and the family moved to Seattle. Elias ended up in the same class as Sean and Penelope, and after a few awkward episodes, the three became glued together. A couple of years later, Molly enrolled and became his next door neighbor, and the group was complete. At the age of 15 Elias developed and interest in spiders, specifically scorpions. Elias personality is rather mellow, and he prefers to take things as they come. He believes everything will work out in the end, and he rarely worries about anything because of this, even when things are beyond bad. Despite having a rather positive outlook on life, he's also very realistic, making him seem a bit more mature then the average joe. The only thing that really upsets is when he's forced to become useless. Elias has great protective instincts, and not being able to be of help frustrates him. Elias dark side is that he has a need for being in control, and sometimes when pushed or cornered, he'll take it by force.
Habits: Not watching where he's going, flailing his arms around.
Hobbies: Taking pictures of animals, his favorite subjects being spiders and scorpions.
Talent: Can balance anything on his nose.
Likes: Drinking coffee, early mornings, shopping lamps.

He doesn't seem to mind it all that much, but he's very frightened that me might accidently kill someone.
Relationship with:
Molly - Best of friends since middle school, and they visit each other almost daily. Elias views Molly as a little sister, and watches over her almost like a hawk because of her fragile nature. The two bonded even closer after being cursed, as they're both 'monsters' now. Elias is still a bit unsure how to act around her currently, as her being a cat is rather distracting.
Sean - These two are pretty Calvin and Hobbs. They love to play around like schoolboys, and Elias is the one making sure they don't get into too much trouble.
Penelope - It's complicated.

Voice and speech: Slightly loud, and kinda obnoxious in the long run. Swears and laughs a lot.

About: Sean was born and raised in Seattle. As a kid, Sean was often picked at because of his red hair and freckles, and Penelope was the one who got his confidence up when she moved two houses down the street. It sky rocketed, and he has never since doubted that he is the coolest guy on the face of the planet. He later forcibly befriended Elias. As Molly entered the group, Sean developed his first crush that has lead nowhere, as he hasn't had enough courage to speak up about it to anyone. Sean has the most open personality of the group, as he's the only one actively seeking out people. If he gets attention or not doesn't matter to him; just hanging around makes him happy. He has a more selfish mind then he likes to admit, and he often thinks about himself first, but does the right thing in the end. Sean's bad side is his explosive anger, which luckily doesn't happen all that often. Sean loves to make others laugh, and he has a somewhat odd sense of humor. He has a great sense of communication as well. He was the one who got the whole group into mysteries, a hobby has been interested in since he was 4.
Habits: Falling asleep in class and losing his keys.
Hobbies: Collecting books on unsolved mysteries.

Other:
Hair: Originally blond, colored dark brown. Long, wavy, often up in some kind of hairdo and lots of hairspray.
Body: Kinda short, wide hips and shoulders, small waist, tiny feet and hands, large bust. Slightly tanned skin.
Eyes: Dark blue.
Voice and speech: Normal, southern accent.
Other: Has a lot of moles all over her body. Has a boyfriend named Brandon.
About: Penelope was born in Texas, but due to some family issues she moved to Seattle. There she befriended Sean, and dragged him out of his shell. A few years later Elias and Molly entered the group, to somewhat of her dismay, but she got over it quickly. Last year she met her boyfriend Brandon, and things seem to be quite serious. Penelope started with her kleptomanic behaviour when she got into puberty and it's been slowly getting worse and worse. Most of the time she doesn't even realize she's stolen anything until someone points it out, and most of the time she doesn't want to give it back. Depends on how shiny it is. Penelope is slightly suspicious of strangers, but has an overall friendly personality. She's easier to get along with, as she's not as pushy as Sean. Penelope will do anything for her friends. She's the type that would help you cover up a murder... if you pay her. Penelope is very materialistic as well. She has the habit of being sarcastic and she's used to being right. She's also very dramatic, and she's also very easy to read because of this. She can, however, pull this a little too far and become a total dramaqueen. But that's what makes her to fun and interesting to be around. Penelope is slightly obsessed with her hygiene; she must be clean, and she must look good.
