Season's greetings to you all!

The wint'ry* weather seems to roll around faster every year, doesn't it? And with it comes CHANUKWANZAA, the ultimate season for goodwill and giving and PRESENTS and peace on earth and did I mention presents.

With the 25th encroaching, I decided to make this thread so that everyone can send out best wishes of the season to everyone else, discuss your plans, compare loot, or (as always) anything else you like.

From all of us here at the Order, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year! May the blessings of life follow you around like a relentless stalker violating their restraining order.

A Very Stormy Christmas

or, The Storm who Grinched Christmas Up for a while,
But ended up having a pretty good time overall.

Every BOOdle of the Temple liked Christmas a lot...
All save Storm, the big grump, who most certainly did NOT!

Storm hated Christmas! The whole Christmas season!
Oh, please don't ask why - who the heck knows the reason?

It may have been that "Peace" meant for so very little gore -
He couldn't macerate, or eviscerate. It just wouldn't score.

But I think, confidentially, the most likely reason yet,
Was that in his world, it's ALWAYS raining - so he was ALWAYS soaking wet!

He stood sodden amidst the presents and the parties and the food,
Looking so down in the dumps, it really was quite rude.

He couldn't stand the happiness, the joy and the peace,
He wore a coat of despair like a thick, woolly fleece.

He abhored all the trimmings, the decorations, the laughter,
The baubles, the flapdoodles, the fandangles and the crackers.

"Oh, look at all the lighting! Oh, look at the Christmas tree!
Ooh, look at all the presents - hey, is that one for me?!"

Everyone was giving something, and receiving twice as much:
Plushies, gravy, goats and fans and penguin suits and such.

The first to dive into his presents, as always, was Bapp -
And what better treat for him than a brand new, striped top hat?

Mab and Red were both diluged in a torrent of video games each;
Dart AT LAST got a PRETTY PONY, so very long out of reach!

Festive romance was in store for both Inu and TRG,
For they each got a kiss under the mistletoe! (Teehee!)

And to repay her for her kindness spent on others the year through,
Hana received gifts - not one hundred, not one-fifty - but two!

(I'm sure all the others I've forgotten also got some great stuff -
Hey, how long d'ya want this poem to be?! It's already lengthy enough!)

Storm grumbled and grouched, holed away in his tower,
While the acolytes rejoiced, hour... after hour... after hour.

"Bah, Humbug! Lamentation! O torture and pain!
My only true friend is my companion - the rain!"

"Why, you're so real to me - I can almost hear... voices?
What on Faerun is that? I wonder what that noise is?"

The weather seems to be going from spring to winter day by day around here, hard to tell what it's going to be. Although there should be some snow tomorrow. Maybe it'll be a white Christmas.

I have to work tonight, all the way until about 9, or whenever I get it done. Then I STILL have to wrap my gifts for my family. I've been too busy for it lately. That's my Christmas Eve plans.

I have off for Christmas though, pretty sure the whole office does. So i'm going to go to my parents and open gifts with everyone. Then have dinner. Then play games with my brother most likely, Then play on the computer until I have to go to bed.

Best wishes to everyone else though. Hope it's safe, sound, and peaceful. Also, that you get some good presents.

My plans for this, the 24th, are thus...

FIX THIS DAMN COMPUTER

First the BIOS battery went...and now there are problems in the system files....and the setup disc is giving me errors, so I'll need to format EVERYTHING.....but I need files from it first!

AUGH!

And afterward, Mass Effect

Merry Christmas everybody! biggrin

A few members of my family just went home a bit ago from our Christmas Eve celebration. The best part? It's a draw between my brother and my cousin pelting each other with Angry Birds plushies and seeing my Uncle getting dressed up as (and acting like) a pirate. rofl

(He just bought a boat this year and he's wanted one for a long time, so we all decided to do a pirate-themed thing for him this year.)

biggrin I love the seasonal poem. My Eve has been enjoyable, and not finished yet, as I'm with my man emotion_kirakira and we're going to have a bonfire. I had dinner with my family a while ago, but unfortunately, my dad has to work Christmas, so he won't be there as we open gifts (unless he comes home for a small break). But it's been a fine couple days for me thus far, and I've been cheery. I hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday and that they enjoy themselves. At least that is deserved heart Merry Christmas everyone whee

So my plans yesterday and today changed.....last night, I got conscripted into THE ABILITY TO start a Nerf war. So I did, and all was right with the world..

And then the neighbors came over today and shot me again, with THEIR Nerf guns. So I stole one and shot back. Fun times abound

Hahaha... sounds like everyone's having fun.
My plans are pretty simple. I worked from 4am-3pm and did a shitload of stuff, making me at least feel accomplished~ and then I packed up my bird and drove down to Denver to spend the night with my parents so I can open presents tomorrow morning. =D
I just wish it would snow some more... Even if it would make driving tough. XD

So, since it's the season and all, Merry Christmas everyone~!

And I hope Storm finds some Christmas Cheer~ XD

My sister's forcing me to play games with her. So that along with helping get ready for Christmas means I probably won't be going to bed. Got my gifts wrapped though. So that's done. It's Christmas though, the eve has passed. So Merry Christmas everyone.

OKAY! So here's how things went down for me on ze 25th:

I ended up waking up pretty early in the morning, so I played MC with Kyle for a few hours until my mum arrived with ZE PRESNETS. I gots lots of cool stuffs ;w; Clothes and jewelry and eau de parfum and BOOKSHELVES! Amongst other things. Then we went out to her house for our christmas dinnar. It was NOT a disaster this year. In fact, it went very smoothly! As far as we saw, anyway. My mum went out before us (we had to get ready) and found her partner already broken into the booze, standing at the sink and swaying slightly as the vegetables boiled over, flooding the kitchen floor while he stood there, oblivious 8D So she had to clean all that up before we arrived.

Dinner last year and the year before WAS a disaster, also thanks to him. The first year mum left him to complete the dinner all by himself - very unwisely, we soon found out, as he prepared THE most miniscule christmas dinner one has ever seen. I'm talking two carefully counted sprouts per person. Half a potato. Yeah. It was bad. 8D Then the NEXT year he was awake at 4 am for some reason, and put the turkey in. When my mum woke up at about 7, she went out and found that the turkey was practically CREMATED, on too high a-heat with no tin foil or anything to protect it. I remember when we went out I asked: "What are those big black lumps next to the turkey?"

She replied: "Stuffing balls," and picked one up and whacked it against the counter to show me it was hard as marble gonk

Then there was TV. Aladdin and Happy Feet were on one right after the other!! IT WAS MY IDEA OF HEAVEN. Then we ate ferrero rochers. Then we opened more presents. (Mine were DVDs and a gorgeous necklace.) Then we ate trifle and watched more TV. At some point we also played a game of antler hoopla...

It was all just fun and frolics and fun 4laugh and did I mention fun? Hope everyone else had a great time too~

Oh, details about the day?

It started on Christmas Eve. I did work until 9, and I got home at around 10 p.m. Played games with my sister until about 1 a.m. That's when my mom called and needed my help with getting the first part of dinner ready and clean a bit. So I go over and do that and by the time it's done it's around 5 a.m. So I slept on the couch there until my little brother woke me up at 8:30.

Talked with him until my sister showed up around 9. Once our parents came downstairs we opened gifts. I got socks, a pair of work pants, some sleep pants, a few games, a remote control helicopter that i can't drive yet, money, and gift cards. Pretty unexciting stuff, but stuff i'm happy to get.

After the gifts I helped mom finish cooking food before all of the extended family came to destroy it. Then after ages and ages of talking the last person left, and I took my sister to go pick up our roommate and go home.

Wait, we should tell out days? Uhh...

Woke up far too early (8:30 am sweatdrop ). Went upstairs and opened presents. Got a gift card to Barnes and Noble (Whoo books!)...but that was mostly it, as the big celebration was out at the grandma's. Anyway, went out there a few hours later, at which point I managed to worm my way into fixing their computer (Grandpa thinks that I'm going to break it.....heh). Fixed it, opened presents (Kindle F-yeah!), and then played the Wii until dinner at 8.

Went home, fixed a new computer that I got because someone was tossing it out.

Good day
