The cool night air blew across the old lion’s face and he sighed in to it. It was nice taking a break every now and then, getting outside for some fresh air. As much as he was enjoying learning about all the history of the pride, as well as any thing else he could manage to dig up, after a while it just became quite a stuffy place. Jarkevaa shook his mane and walked slowly around, letting the muscles in his legs loosen after having been prone for so long while reading. It was a short walk and just as he came to the garden’s edge he turned round to make his way back. The black and white male was feeling much better and was once more keen to get back to learning more about his new home.

The day after her encounter with Feleji, Nyati was eager to try and learn more of her father. Her father whom she had learned was white, fluffy, large and had a horn in the middle of his head. There were few in the pride who would know of him and most were in the rooms she was heading towards; the scribes. They were likely to know more information concerning her birth. Or at least the gods of that inhabited their world. Someone was bound to know more about them.
Or at least that's what the lioness hoped as she wandered the corridors of the temple. Nothing. With a slump, Nyati roamed back towards the center of the pride. Maybe she would find someone along the way that knew where she could find a historian.

There was no rush as he made his way back. The night was not over yet and he saw no reason to hurry. As eager as he was he was also enjoying how nice the air was outside. It was still a bit warm out, especially on the stones, and he was certainly glad, as were his old bones. Jarkevaa started to hum lightly as his thoughts fell between wondering how Kujali was faring on this night to where he would continue once he returned to continue looking in tot he records of the pride.
As he turned a corner he spotted ahead a younger lioness who appeared to be a bit down. “Hello there! Is everything alright?”

How in the world did everyone keep sneaking up on her like this? She couldn't quite understand how they were managing to do it, but she didn't quite mind it either. A soft sight went passed her mouth. No use keeping it to herself. "I'm looking for a scribe," Nyati said finally, her eyes looking up towards him. "One who may know about the gods that roam the lands. I only have a description of what I think is one, but I'm having problems finding someone who can give me a concrete answer."
Her head raised as she finally got a good look at who she was speaking to. "I don't suppose you know a historian or are one by any chance?"

“As a matter of fact I am a Scribe. Perhaps I could help you find the information you are looking for.” The subject on Gods was certainly one of the main ones he had looked in to in any records he could find. They were a curious sort, lions with features no others naturally had and powers he couldn’t even imagine having! It was a subject that certainly caught his attention whenever it was mentioned or he saw even a hint of mention of gods in his learnings.
Without even realizing it he had started to wander past her, feet carrying him back towards the pride’s records. He snapped out of it and glanced back at her, an apologetic look on his face. “Sorry, lost myself there. Come, tell me about this God of yours as we walk. I'll need to know what it is I am looking for. Hopefully we will be able to find the information you are looking for.”

Maybe her luck was turning around considering what kind of luck it had to take for the lion she met to be a scribe that she was looking for. Nyati quickly jogged to his side, keeping up with his walking pace as they moved. "Of course. Feleji told me that he was white, as big as a Firekin, apparently very fluffy and had a horn coming right out of his head. He on the otherhand had no wings though."
Gods were definitely a curious bunch, powers and features that set them apart from the mortal species of Africa. "Finding someone who knows of gods is easy, but finding someone who actually knows about gods is the hard part. I'm glad that fate seemed to change since we could have easily ran into one another.

“I see.” Jarkevaa fell in to silence as they walked, mulling over the description he had been given. He tried to remember if he had seen any such records of such a lion. His gaze shifted back to the lioness as they walked, trying to estimate how long ago this God she was looking for may have been in the lands. His attention fell back to trying to remember if he had previously seen or heard of such a lion, but he could not recall anything.
As they came to the room Jarkevaa had earlier been in, one mostly full of Scribes and those seeking information from them, Jarkevaa moved ahead to speak to a few. He relayed the description of the lion he had been given to them, waiting patiently as each though and returned their replies. He nodded and thanked them before making his way over to Nyati. “I wasn’t able to find out much., unfortunately. It seems he may not have been here long. However,” The old lion smiled and sat down. “One of the older scribes seems to recall a lion of such description. A god indeed. Took him a bit to recall the name, but he said the God’s name was Airion. In fact he seemed quite adamant that is was.”

Nyati had already sat herself down as she had waited for the other lion to return from his search. Never had she actually been near where the scribes resided, but from the bickering she heard inside, they were in the right spot. Her ears perked forward as he turned and began to walk back towards her. She was eager as a cub to know what the others had to share despite how patient she usually was.
"A god?" The lioness asked despite already knowing the answer. Her father was indeed a god. "At least I know who my father is now. Thank you..." Nyati paused, suddenly realizing her lack of manners. "I seem to have forgotten my manners. We haven't even been introduced properly. My name is Nyati."

Jarkevaa dipped his head toward her. “You are quite welcome. I am glad that I was at least able to help you find some information, even it it does seem to be so little.” A small chuckle escaped him. “It seems we both have forgotten then. It is nice to meet you Nyati, I am Jarkevaa. If there is anything else you need help with feel free to ask.” He glanced back towards the other scribes then to Nyati once more. “Unfortunately none had any idea where he might now be, but I wish you luck finding him if you intend to search.”

"At least I have a name and a description now. That is more then I had a week ago." Nyati couldn't help but smile at the fact. As much as she wanted to meet her father, at least she had that much. As she rose to her paws, she dipped her head. "Thank you Jarkevaa. I'm sure if I have any other questions, I'll come back to you." The lioness turned, flashed a smile back to him and left his company. With a name maybe not she could ask a resident patron god about him or others. It's more likely someone would remember both a description and a name then just a description.
