Kettil had gone to the maul to pick up a few odds and ends for his dorm. It was looking the way he wanted it to but he still wanted a few touches here and there. Endzela sat neatly perched on his shoulder mostly napping where she stood. This whole staying up during the day thing was not for her and to be honest it wasn't for Kettil either even though he was smiling brightly and looked as if he was as energetic as ever. He was on his way to another shop when he paused by the cafe noting an interesting little pink haired beauty enjoying some iced tea.
Pause.
...Hm!
She looked distracted somehow though he usually would let others deal with their own issues he couldn't seem to bring it in himself to not try and help her out perhaps. He played it cool right now as Kettil wandered in and ordered an iced tea as well and then moved to sit across from the pink haired demoness as if she'd already invited him, "I can't help but notice there is a smile missing on your face."

Lizzy was pretty tired from shopping; there were some bags on the chair beside the one she was seated on, and even some on the floor. However, that was not the reason why she looked distracted, staring into empty space as she absentmindedly stirred her iced tea with one hand, while propping her head up with the other.
Perhaps that was why she failed to notice the newest addition to her table until he spoke up.
"Huh?" She blinked, sitting up as she stared at the boil for a couple of seconds, her head tilted to a side, "A-ah, sorry, I was lost in my thoughts." She smiled, staying silent for a while, "Uh, hi." Her eyes wandered from his exposed man chest - deal with it, Lizzy, boils seemed to like showing their chest - to the owl perched on his shoulder... Causing her face to lit up immediately.
"She's beautiful!"

Kettil chuckled at her reaction, "No reason to be sorry. I just was wondering if there was a reason why you seem so ... distracted," he said using the word she had used to describe her current state. Kettil followed her eyes to where they landed at his chest wondering if there was something wrong quietly he rubbed at the exposed part of his chest wondering if there had been something there he just couldn't see, "Ehm. Hiya?"
Momentary awkward moment ruled all.
Then she noticed Endzela and in turn the Owl noticed her.
Endzela puffed up proudly, "Thank you sweetling, you are very lovely as well!"
The boil laughed a bit, "Careful, Miss, she might steal yer heart."

"Things," She replied as mysteriously as possible, even going as far as to wriggle her fingers in the air at the boil. However, there was at least a smile on her face now as she sat back in her chair, pulling her glass of iced tea closer towards herself as she continued to stir its contents, "I'm Lizzy by the way!"
She paused when the owl spoke. The owl spoke.
This meant one of two things - that was a student's natural form, or it was a familiar belonging to this boil. Judging from her spider sense, she felt that it must be the latter; she had only met one other reaper with a familiar, but it looked and behaved a little like a minipet... Until it opened its mouth!
"May I... Pet you?" She decided to ask the source directly, shyly smiling at the owl, although she did turn to look at the boil with a hopeful look, "If you don't mind, that is!"

"Not...Things. Anything but those," he laughed a bit at her behavior. She was pretty damn amusing if he did say so himself. He nodded his head a bit as she introduced herself, "I'm Kettil and this is Endzela," he gestured to his owl, "we are a bit new around here."
By a bit he meant that they were very, very new.
Endzela tilted her head at the request before she just spread her wings hopped from her Reaper's shoulders and then landed on the table and began to waddle her way toward Lizzy and then waited patiently for affection to come her way. Yes. Pet Endzela. Love Endzela.
( *v* )
Kettil chuckled a bit, "She's such a lover of attention."

Lizzy was totally distracted by Endzela, staring in mild awe and fascination at the pretty owl as she made her way across the table in the most adorable manner. When she stopped in front of her, she found herself wondering what it was that she was supposed to do; she had never handled an owl before! In fact, the only other bird she had ever held was Mac's...
For a split second, she looked almost sad, but quickly regained her smile as she gently picked the owl off the table, carefully putting Endzela on her lap with a soft, amused giggle.
"I don't mind giving her attention at all," She replied softly, patting the owl on her head before running her fingers down her body, taking delight in the texture of the feathers, "Ohhh, just moved here? You're not attending Amity by any chance, are you?"

Sadly for Lizzy there was a certain Reaper at her table that was paying attention and saw the split second of sadness cross over her face. He sat up a bit straighter and just watched as she interacted with Endzela.
Endzela nestled up to Lizzy quite happily and let the ghoul pet her all she liked. This was heaven. She clicked her beak quite happily as her eyes went all squinted in her contentment. Yes good, good. Keep petting. Always petting. Never not petting.
"We are, actually. At first we were under the impression that the school was closing but it seems to not be the case anymore," he laughed a bit with a small shrug, "I have a couple of friends that attend here."

Endzela's reaction to her pets just made her more eager to shower affection on her; besides, she was being awfully cute. How could anyone look into those large, round eyes and say no to petting her?
"The students helped save the school!" She sounded proud as she said that, smiling happily as she shifted her arms to wrap around the owl, hugging her to her stomach, careful not to squish the poor thing in the process, "Oh? Who might your friends be? Maybe I've heard of them!" It's a small world after all.

"I don't know," he said doubtfully as she mentioned that she might know them he hummed quietly as if debating if he would tell her or make her work for the knowledge before he simply said, "Freya and Lark. Lark usually has a kangaroo followin' her and Freya ... well, she's hard to miss," he laughed a bit with a small shrug. Freya was boisterous and very lively it was pretty easy to pick her out from anywhere.
Endzela continued to soak up the attention quietly before speaking up, "They're both very lovely ghouls. Kettil and I grew up with Lark."
Kettil laughed a bit and nodded, "That we did. Lar and I are best mates."

"Oh! I know Freya!" She nodded excitedly before pausing, looking sheepish all of a sudden, "Uh, or rather... I've heard of Freya, at least." Yes that sounded much more accurate, "From Herryk! Do you know him?" Since Freya and Kettil were friends, he should know about her boilfriend, right?
"Ohhh, childhood friends?" She glanced down at Endzela before looking up at Kettil again, "I've never heard of anyone with a kangeroo before though... Is Lark new to the school too?"

He smiled a bit wryly when Herryk's name came up, "Yeah. I know him, he's pretty friendly," Kettil laughed slightly. Yeah, friendly after Herryk made a handful of threats at him where Freya was concerned but Lizzy didn't need to know about all that. "Freya is a nice ghoul, very friendly and warm. I am sure you'd enjoy hanging out with her maybe?"
There was a small fond smile on his face as he nodded, "Yep ever since we were small Lar and I been together runnin' about." Her question was confirmed with yet another nod, "She's fairly new. Lar might not seem it but she's kinda shy when it comes to makin' friends."

"That's what Herryk said," She giggled, snuggling with the owl on her lap, "It must be true if two people tell me the same things! I just never got the chance to meet her face to face before... I did follow her groanspring though, so maybe I'll ask if she wants to meet up one day." That's not creepy at all right?
"Is she? She sounds lovely too!" She looked thoughtful as she continued, "You're the first new student I've met in a while, outside of class... Maybe I need to get out more." Since she had preferred to stay inside ever since the break up... But at least she was feeling a lot better now, and probably less prone to wanting to flip things.

"I don't see why you shouldn't. I mean it isn't like Freya hates making friends or anything," he grinned lightly. Come to think of it Lizzy's hair was Freya's favorite color so as far as he could tell the ghoul had more plus than minuses going for her where it concerned befriending the Valkyrie. Friendships had been built over worse things.
He smiled a bit wider, "She is lovely, and a right loyal friend," Kettil said fondly. Clearly Lark held a special place in his heart. He tilted his head a bit, "Aww, well I am glad to be one of the few you've met in a while," he grinned.
Kettil seemed to interpret something about her situation something that implied that perhaps she had no one to treat her to a nice outing.
"How about we go out and do something sometime?" Was he blatantly asking her out? Why yes.

"We should get along just fine then!" She grinned, hugging Endzela closer with a soft 'yay', "I look forward to it! Besides, she's Hel's sister! I'm excited to meet one of her sisters~" And why yes, Lizzy's pink hair brings all the reapers to the yard.
"Ohhh, sure!" She agreed almost immediately, sitting up in her seat with an eager smile, "Whatttt do you have in mind? Or should I be answering my own question since you're new in the area?" She couldn't resist chuckling, "Not sure what most boils would enjoy though... Maybe aside from the arcade."
That seemed popular among the boils she know!

"Haven't gotten to meet Hel yet but I know of her and I've seen a picture of her, she's pretty cute," he said pretty openly. What? A boil can admit a ghoul is cute without meaning anything more than what was said. What of it?
He seemed thoughtful for a moment, "Hm. I am a pretty easy goin', I like doin' just about anything so long as we're both having fun, that's what matters most." Kettil nodded a bit as he leaned back in his seat thoughtfully, "Anything you always wanted to do or go see? Maybe we can do that together."
Meanwhile inner Kettil was doing a jig.
