Hypnos hadn't been entirely sure what Peter was doing when she had run across him at the community center where the day camps were often held but she certainly was happy to see him back as a human boy again. Immediately the child recalled the last time she had seen him outside of school and it had been when the two of them had been kittens. Unlike her, the boy had no experience with the world of magic and he didn't seem like he had anyone he could count on like she had Bell and Xavier. The boy couldn't exactly go up to his parents and tell them that he was there son when he had been a kitten and because of that he had missed Thanksgiving with his parents and even his birthday!
Hypnos had been so distraught over it, and she had thought forever on ways to make it up to him. The solution was staring her right in the face, and before she could even think of getting an inflatable tube to keep herself from drowning, she and Peter were off! She would make it up to him! She would do it! Her thoughts were clear, she was going to show Peter a whole new world. She would give him a gift she couldn't imagine was more suitable for anyone else she knew.
What Hypnos had expected wasn't what she got though. The landing this time was different. There was no feeling of dropping from the sky and there was no splash as she hit the water. Instead she questioned whether she had even successfully taken Peter to Hypnos with her because it felt like she hadn't even moved. The air felt lighter though, but she couldn't explain why. Perhaps she had been holding her breath? There was a small sigh, and slowly the child's eyes opened...
 They definitely weren't in Destiny City anymore, or even on Earth. In fact, they seemed to be rather high up on a cliff with... with... the child's jaw practically dropped. The sky! The sky was so beautiful! The sky was a brilliant shade and the stars were shining so brilliantly behind a thin layer of clouds that almost appeared like nothing the child had ever seen on Earth before. She hadn't recalled seeing those the last time she had been here. Sure, logically it made sense that this place would have whether as well, but it didn't hit her.
"Peter!" She said as the thought hit her. "Welcome to the planet Hypnos!" Asteroid. Planet. It was all trivial. It was her homeworld.
She had been holding Peter's hand up until that point, but in order to fully express how she was feeling and her welcome, she let go of his hand so she was able to shoot both of her arms into the air and smile brightly, almost matching the very stars above. "Merry Christmas Peter!"

Whatever Peter had expected when Hypnos had taken hold of his hand... it definitely wasn't this!
Sure, Thanksgiving and his birthday had been spent as a cat, but it could have been a lot worse. For example... he could still be a kitten. He didn't even know how he was a human again, but somehow he ended up changing back. And it was good to see that Hypnos had done the same! If they were all going to be kittens, then at least they all changed back together!
Golden eyes widened with shock as the scene around them changed and they were... very obviously not in Destiny City any more... Peter gasped and stumbled backwards as soon as his hand had been released, feeling rather unsteady on his feet. He plopped onto his butt on the ground, staring up at both her and the magnificently colored sky above.
"I... what... What is this??" he sputtered, glancing around to the girl he considered his friend and then back at the strange world around them. Peter was speechless... it was a rare moment indeed, but what could he say?? He thought he'd just been outside to play before worrying about Christmas festivities and... they were suddenly up in the sky??
It was breath taking! He'd never seen anything more beautiful in his life! And he was slightly frightened as well. Was this part of the magic that had turned him into a cat? The same magic that turned normal people into magical warriors of peace and love and whatever else they could slap on to make it sound really cheesy and idealistic but also kind of cool at the same time??

Definitely not in Destiny City anymore but would Peter believe that they weren't even on Earth anymore and that they were in the one place he dreamed of going to? Space? On another planet? She stayed quiet for a moment or a couple hundred while Peter caught his bearings and used the time to take a moment to breathe. Although she had been here before, she too was shocked at what she was seeing. What had happened to all the water? Not to say Hypnos wasn't glad she wasn't drowning but she had thought her planet had been entirely water. She hadn't seen even a bit of smidgen of land that would have hinted to such wonders.
There was a voice calling out that pulled the child from her daze and it was Peter's voice! She quickly turned to meet him, her nightgown like fuku, different from what he'd seen her in previously, moving softly as she spun. The look on his face was priceless, but she couldn't quite make out how he was feeling. She hoped that expression he had was a good one, but there was only one way to tell. She had to take a leap of faith like she'd taken bringing him here.
"This is my planet, Hypnos. We're not on Earth anymore Peter... we're in space!" Her face plea with him, hoping he was excited to be here as she was to bring him here.

"But... what?? How??" he sputtered, still staring at the sky above them and around them and just... not believing anything at all! How was this possible??
"Your planet...?" he stared at her, not sure what that meant. If they were on her planet... her planet...? "Do... all senshi have planets??" That was something he would have liked to know!! They could have taken him! He only knew a few, including Hypnos, but that didn't mean he wouldn't have enjoyed going to other planets...
Not that there was anything wrong with this planet! It was... "Amazing..." he mumbled out loud, pushing himself up from the ground. "This is amazing!" he grinned, a bit more enthusiastically this time. They were on another planet and one that no one knew existed!! It was absolutely amazing!
"This is great!! You've been here before?? You have to show me around! I would love to look at your planet!!" he practically yelped in excitement, bouncing up and down in excitement now, grabbing onto one of her hands to try and get her to lead the way or... just show him where to go.
But he paused, glancing her over. "You look different. Did you change clothes?" He thought senshi always had the same clothes, no matter what. Maybe he was wrong.

How? Hm. It was definitely a thought Hypnos could put some effort into conjuring. She didn't know exactly how it worked on a microscopic level but she knew what to do to get here. It seemed like enough but was it enough for Peter? She wished she knew more so she could sedate Peter's large pit of curiosity that was bubbling over. He didn't linger on that one particular question very long before it was followed by another.
"Yeah, my planet!" She replied happily.
"I think so, I've been to other senshi's planets!" She didn't know for sure, but Ixion had a planet and he'd learned how to go to his from another senshi who'd taken him to their planet just the same way he'd taken her to his. Her trip to his planet hadn't been the best, nor the safest and Hypnos really didn't want to put Peter in such a situation. The fall she had taken wouldn't treat Peter as favourably. Well, no need worrying about it right yet. Her planet seemed pretty safe (unless you can't swim)!
Peter's reactions as reality settled in made Hypnos smile. She had picked the right Christmas gift!
"I have!" She avoided telling Peter that last time she nearly drowned because she can't swim because she didn't want to ruin his gift. She would try her best to show him around and make this a Christmas he would never forget! How hard would it be? She just wished she knew more about this particular area. It was a cliff with a beautiful view but was there any way down, anywhere else they could go? She looked around.
"Sure," she smiled at him, pausing to look at her outfit. "Oh! I got stronger." She was proud to tell him this. "We get new clothes when we get stronger." It was totally awesome, right? Hypnos was quite proud of her upgrade and she was so happy that Peter had noticed.
It was then that Hypnos stopped in her tracks.
"... you ... new cloak?" a voice she wasn't familiar with echoed through her ears. She couldn't make out the entire sentence and she couldn't understand it. To make it worse, she couldn't see anyone but the voice sounded so close. She looked to Peter, but he didn't seem to react at all.
"I... to celebrate... up there..."
Once again the voice was choppy. Where was it coming from? Hypnos looked around anxiously.
"... first time..."
Hypnos thought the voice was going to go away but it just paused briefly.
"... bright... this year... hope next year..."
It was the last thing Hypnos heard, her body relaxing when the voice stopped running through her mind. She was deep in thought when she finally turned to Peter. She'd almost forgotten! She had to show him around and she had to make sure not to worry him. She skipped over to a near rock and jumped up onto it, taking a deep look at the sky all around.
"I think..." she paused as she thought about what had just happened to her. "I think this was a place where people viewed the stars for a celebration."
It was a lot of gut feeling and a hunch from what she'd heard. Was it a once a year sort of thing? The child thought about it, reminiscing on the voices she'd heard. It would make sense but Hypnos wished she could confirm it. The cliffs had such a clear and beautiful shot of sky with all of the stars twinkling brightly against the magenta backdrop. Perhaps even one of those stars were Earth? She thought she had heard Earth's name. She wish she had heard things more clearly!

"You got stronger??" he stared, looking her over once more. She had gotten stronger somehow...? That was like... a promotion, right? Moving up in ranks? "That's really cool! What can you do?? Magic, I mean... you can do magic, right? That's what senshi can do, right??" he asked in excitement.
There were a lot of things about senshi he didn't know. Really, he only knew about senshi and cats and youma... he was pretty sure there were other 'bad guys' out there, but he hadn't met any of them. There were plenty of senshi to protect people though... or at least that was what he assumed.
Either way, this place was amazing! Why no one had told him how senshi had worlds they could go to, he didn't know! He would definitely be talking to the senshi he did know to try and get them to let him go with them sometime!
Peter opened his mouth to ask her another question, but she had stopped to stare off into space. He glanced around to see what she was looking at, but when he didn't see anything, he turned back to her, an eyebrow raised curiously.
"What are you looking for?" he wondered out loud, shoving his free hand into his pocket, picking at the lint inside. "Hello? Hypnos?" he would have made a dumb joke about her being hypnotized if she didn't look so confused and anxious.

Hypnos nodded her head to Peter slowly about her getting stronger and her doing magic but she really seemed like she was in a bit of a daze still. She was genuinely confused about the voices she had heard and the feeling she had felt but it didn't seem to be harmful. She wasn't sure what it was but she didn't feel like she should dampen the situation with Peter by mentioning it.
"The view, isn't it pretty?" She didn't exactly lie, she was looking at it. "I'm sorry!"
There was a bit of a drawn out pause, but Hypnos was generally looking better.
"My magic power is sleep, so if you ever can't fall asleep you can always call me," she was teasing him, but perhaps she could take up a new job as a sleep aid! What happens when youma are gone and there are no need for senshi to fight them? What do senshi do without their 'jobs'? Well, they find new ways to make their gift work! Every night, 10 PM Easten... okay, so maybe it wasn't like that but Hypnos could always leave her options open.
"So Peter, is there anything you'd like to do while we're here?" There was certainly lots she'd like to do but he was her guest and it was proper to allow them the choice.

Peter stared at her for a bit longer, before glancing around at the world surrounding them. What did he want to do there...? What was there to do? He could think of a million places he would like to visit on Earth, a million things he'd researched so that when he did go to that particular place, he would know exactly what he wanted to do. Right now... he was kind of out of his element.
"Well... what is there to do...?" he wondered, a little more subdued than his pervious enthusiasm. Hypnos still seemed distracted, and he had never, ever been to space before. "Is it safe...? Are there other people who live here...? If these worlds exist, why don't humans live places other than Earth?"
He was surprised that the atmosphere was perfectly breathable, but then why didn't people live there...? Or maybe they did.
"How did you find out about this place...? Or do all senshi just know...?" he frowned a little as he thought about it, not because he didn't think it was awesome that senshi had their own worlds, but...
"If... something bad happens on Earth... will the senshi leave and go to their own worlds...?"
He didn't like the idea of the protectors of the city leaving the rest of them, abandoning them, but why wouldn't they get off the planet to save their own tails if it came down to it? After all... having worlds and never going to them would be a total waste.

"I think it's safe," she said with a nod. Think may not have been the most securing adjective to use but in all honesty half of the places Peter wanted to go were probably just as safe but also just as dangerous. It all depended on the situation. If Peter were to decide he wanted to climb down the cliff then maybe it wouldn't be as safe but right now it was.
"We could go swimming," she suggested with a small cringe. If she could find the beach line instead of the middle of it it wouldn't be so horrible. It might have been the only thing that Hypnos knew they could do but she also knew no one could go swimming outdoors in Destiny City at this time so maybe Peter would want to.
"I don't know if anyone lives here, but maybe I should find out." Wouldn't that be interesting? Maybe she was some sort of legend here, their own senshi. Maybe they would celebrate her return with a feast for all her friends. Surely she'd have to bring *********, ********* would appreciate a feast. Ixion... Ixion would have to come! Peter could come again too... there were a lot of people she'd want to bring but she'd only ever tried to bring one person at a time before. Was it even possible to bring more than one? Who would she bring if she could only bring one? The name Ixion popped into her head, it only seemed fair right? She'd never have been able to come here in the first place if he'd never shown her how. Maybe ********* could sit on her head!
"A... a friend showed me how to, I didn't know before though. I was in space once though, it was kind of fun to just float around but I can't do that normally." She hadn't known to right away so a lot of other senshi probably had absolutely no idea they could go to their own planet.
She was a little shocked at Peter's last question though, jumping off the little rock she was standing to go over near him.
"I'm not sure but how could we just leave everyone when they were counting on us most? We couldn't!" Definitely could. Well, they could but she certainly hoped no one would just run away to their homeworlds and leave Earth to suffer like that. We may have our own worlds but we'd all been born on Earth!
"It's our home too." She placed her hand on Peter's shoulder, smiling softly as if to say that even if everyone else left she would stay. Even on the darkest night, Hypnos would surely show up and grant slumber to the world.
Guine Don't be sad Peter, Hypnos will stay!

"I mean, I know everyone wouldn't just... leave!" he said with a little shrug, looking everywhere but at Hypnos and trying to play off his worry with just... being nonchalant about it all. If he was honest with himself, of course he was worried that one day the senshi would just leave the rest of them for a better place... Why bother with fighting when they could just escape?
Even still, Peter nodded to Hypnos, reaching up to take hold of the hand she had on his shoulder. "I know you wouldn't leave us. Thank you," he added with a shy glance up at her. He wasn't usually a very shy individual, but when talking about serious things, he couldn't just yell and shout about whatever.
"I would like to see the rest of your world," he said with a small nod, tugging on her hand to have her follow him. "And I would love to go swimming!! Isn't it going to be cold, though??"
Whatever happened, though... On Earth or in space, Peter knew that there was a lot more out there for him than he'd ever imagined. Who would have thought he'd ever meet a Sailor scout, much less go out into space with her? And as much as he would love to take pictures of everything and bring them back to Earth to show his family and friends... and maybe even blog about it... he knew that would just place Hypnos and the rest of the senshi in danger... and he happened to care for the senshi he knew quite a bit.
Despite everything that has happened, despite being a kitten and missing Thanksgiving and nearly his own birthday... this trip to Hypnos's planet was beyond anything he'd ever thought he'd get for Christmas. He wanted to achieve his dream of being an astronaut even more than before.
Peter paused as he tried tugging Hypnos down what seemed to be a path leading away from the cliff, smiling at her. "Merry Christmas, Hypnos... and thank you. Best Christmas ever."Appeal That makes Peter happy. <3 And I think you'd be able to wrap it up with your next post!! Thank you!!

Hypnos was pleased to hear that Peter would like to see more of her world, and it didn't come as a surprise that he'd be eager to see more of it but she wasn't entirely sure how much of it he'd be able to see due to time constraints. However she'd be happy to show him however much she could before it was finally time to go home.
"It's warm here," she smiled to him. She wasn't sure why but the weather here wasn't like it was on Earth and if there were different seasons like on Earth it most definitely wasn't winter here at the moment. It was more like summer, the air was humid but probably a little bit less than it would be in Destiny City during the summer.
The best Christmas ever? Oh, Hypnos' cheeks flushed a mighty red with a tinge of embarrassment as well as joy. She didn't resist his hand in the least when he began to pull her toward a path and soon she began to guide him down the cliff. They could see the water from this side, and it looked as massive as some of the oceans back on Earth. Hypnos was familiar with it though, and it was nothing like the oceans back on Earth. The water was clear and it didn't seem to have any salt in it at all. It was perfect to swim in because it didn't ruin your hair!
"Look, there it is!"
The path was pretty straightforward and it wouldn't be long before they had their day at the beach. Eventually they would grow tired and find themselves heading back home but the feelings of joy she felt now were ones the child would never wanted to forget. It was a memory she would remember for the both of them, even during a time when Peter grew up and tossed this off as a childhood dream. She hoped that it would be this dream that would push him to reach his goal to become an astronaut and that it would be this dream that would brighten his day when the sky was dark.
Perhaps someday he'd make it back here on his own accord and if he did then she could only hope that even after he'd forgotten her face that he'd still remember the feelings they shared on this day.
