Cosette is an orphan. Sha has been since birth. Though a farmer's wife had taken her in, the family did not claim her and could not support her. She'd always been a very intelligent and perceptive child, and at the age of seven, she left, feeling nothing but love for the woman and not wanting to be a burden anymore. She's been wandering the streets of Palisade for three years, and everyone there knows and refers to her as 'Baby'. Though she's wandered the streets of Sunderland for three years, she's a very happy and optimistic child. She sees the good in everyone, even the shady people she sees around the alleys. She's also very curious, wanting to know everything about everything, and everyone, which can and has lead her into some pretty serious situations.
