The world was a mysterious and magnificent place. Every bit of it was so new and entirely different from the last. From the smooth, see-through substance she had been encased by at birth (glass, was it?) to the shiny metal all around... That Ghost man had been very kind to her and helped her out of that glass place. She would certainly be sure to remember him, but first she had more exploring to do. More learning as well. Her eyes were taking in so much, but she didn't quite understand everything that she saw. Not yet. She would get there though.

When Ghost had mentioned taking her 'outside', she hadn't fully understood it at first. What was outside? What was inside? Was this metal place not their world? It was all that she knew thus far, so surely it was. It was a pretty world with lots of strange lights and contraptions. How would 'outside' be any different from here? These had been her lines of thought prior to discovering 'outside'.

Outside was very different.

So many colors! Quite a lot of this one color ('green' her mind supplied), but everything was so unique from what she now understood to be 'inside'. Inside had quickly become quite dull in comparison. She'd just be staying out here, thanks.

It felt nicer out here too. Warmer, with nice cool air (a breeze?) blowing by. And the smell! She knelt down onto the ground, both to breathe in the scent of the grass as well as to pull the green substance into her hands. She liked this place a lot.

Perhaps there was more to the world than she had thought.

User ImageUtopia, the raven haired boy outside of the ship shifted anxiously his toes squishing the grass between them. Amber eyes gazing all around as the sunshine warmed the top of his dark head. Wearing a slightly troubled look as he ran over the shield barrier of the colony ship, he wanted out. He wanted to be able to see all the other things on that side too. They were his were they not? This is what Ghost had said, that this was their world? ... Thin lips twisted into a tight frown, a stick flying from the boy's hand and hitting the barrier. This was most annoying..

He'd find a way to get rid of this unpleasant barrier that kept him from his world. Slven while understanding it belonged to others as well had a little...trouble with..well stinginess in a different way, like with his twin. Casshern was his. This world was his.

Having been awake for awhile now, Slven's functions and mind developing faster with each new experiences and the guidance of Mother and Ghost. However he wasn't to far ahead if only for the fact that he was often glued to his twin, having the mind of that though of a normal twelve year old, just perhaps a ..sheltered one. Which left him thirsty so to speak for more..adventure, Slven was a curious little fellow after all.

Today was rare in itself that he wasn't trying to stick to his twins side, no today Slven had went out by himself to try to once more get past or figure out how to get past the barrier.

Sighing softly the raven turned on his heels and started to stomp back towards the ships entrance, pausing to pick up his shoes. Making the short trip towards the front of the ship, the boy paused his advance again head tilting to one side in curiosity as a new face came into view. Who was this? The blonde hair and smaller frame was most unfamiliar to Slven, this caused a delight to flicker to life in his eyes. New. He liked new, he wanted new! This girl was new or at least to him she was. It had taken him a little more explaining by mother and Ghost to figure out the..um 'physical' differences in gender, He knew that each child looked different..he just didn't understand 'how' they were different other than feature wise, though after about a week it like many things just started to click for him.

"....Hello.." He called out to the bent over figure starting towards it, bare feet making a soft thump on the grass covered ground as he did. What was this girl doing? "What..are you doing, Girl ?... " He asked in a soft, curious tone getting closer inspecting the other as he came.

Attention thoroughly engrossed in playing with the blades of grass in her hand, she didn't notice the other's approach until he spoke to her directly. Oh! Another like that Ghost person! Only not as big. She frowned slightly though when he called her 'Girl'. She had an actual name, after all. Ghost had told it to her before. "Amber," she protested. That was right, Amber was what she was called. Not 'Girl'. What was she doing though? Hm, that was the harder one to answer. She knew what she was doing conceptually, but the actual word for it was eluding her... Perhaps she could borrow from something Ghost said? Go outside and... "Play." It was as good a word as any, really. Or should she have said 'playing'? Oh well. She needed to listen to more words to figure out exactly which words went with what items and actions. It would be difficult to communicate otherwise. For example, she was having trouble figuring out how best to proceed in asking who this new person was or what he was doing, so she settled for pointing at him with a questioning look instead. She'd work on her speaking skills a bit later.

Blinking as he came to a stop Slven let a soft smirk spread over his features. "Playing..." Hummed the boy back in curious correction. Playing, she was playing in the grass? Slven had to assume that she was new, considering there were so many more amusing things to play with, like sticks or him. Smirk going a little wider as she pointed to him, his amber eyes followed the grass in her hand. Listening intently as she gave her introduction. Amber. This was what the girl was called then, her own name, like his and Casshern. Amber. He liked it.

Slven took another step forward and attempted to capture Amber's pointed finger, chuckling and giving it a 'shake' for greeting, helping her a little as he gave a pitchy reply of "Slven. I'm Slven." He would allow her to know what he was called. If only since she told him first, it was..only fair.. and besides he wanted to meet new genomes right? Here was a good start, she seemed a little off though, perhaps..newly awakened? He remembered his own awakening everything was a little..foggy, fast..just a little to much to soon.

After a few seconds his arm pulled back to rest at his side swaying slightly as he peered to the grass. "There..are better things to play with than grass." He cooed, his tone low as if unsure about what he was going to say next, which he ended up not inviting her to play just yet before amber orbs peered back to Amber. "You know..?" The raven rubbed over the exposed part of his shoulder, sometimes it was still hard for him to keep a good conversation, he was a little awkward at moments, unsure even though if Casshern were here by his side he'd be...much different.

Ok, so it was 'playing' after all. Close enough. Amber blinked as he grabbed and shook her finger. Was this some form of greeting then? Some sort of interaction that they were supposed to do? Surely he would know, being he looked so similar to that Ghost person. She would have to discover the meaning of this gesture later though. Slven, was it? She'd be sure to remember that name. "Slven," she repeated aloud, making sure that the word stuck in her mind.

She followed his gaze downward as he started speaking again. Grass? So the green stuff was called grass, right... She liked the grass. But he was asking her a question again. Why did he keep asking her questions when she was having trouble answering? Also, why wouldn't she want to play in the grass?
"Why not?" she said, vocalizing her thoughts aloud. It was bright. It smelled good. It was everywhere. Wasn't that reason enough? She reached out her hand to hand him the blades of grass that she had pulled up earlier. Surely he could see why it was so great if he played with it himself, right?

The repeat of his name had the boy giving a soft giggle, a lot less pitchy and high than his very first as he had finally learned better volume control. Gaze locked on the grass the raven tilted his head as it was handed to him, he let the blades of it slide past the cracks of his fingers. Well it was funny feeling but still. Grass was not nearly as amusing as stick fighting or tag. "Cause there are better things, like games." He replied to the girl finally after all the grass had left his hand.

Straightening up and rubbing a hand over his eye in a semi-circular motion for a moment. The sun bothered his eyes somewhat, which is probably why Slven was mostly seen in the ship near the training areas or Science wing. Looking back to Amber he smiled and tilted his head to the side offering, "would you like me to show you, Amber?" He could tech her a game and then they could play together. And she could become his later on if he decided he liked her well enough.....

Games? ... Couldn't the games involve the grass? Or something else outside? She had barely even begun to see anything yet after all. She wasn't so inclined to return 'inside' yet if it could be helped. "What game were you thinking?" she asked, reluctantly standing up and dusting herself off a bit. She would listen to what he had to say first before deciding if she agreed with it. If his suggestion sounded dull to her then she would very much prefer to go investigate the tall brown and green-- the trees. Yes, trees were what they were called. Regardless of labeling, she wanted to see them up close.

What game? Well he had a lot in mind, perhaps he should see which she was best at? The raven blinked and took a step back as Amber rose and dusted herself. Rocking back on his heels with a soft smile and thoughtful hum. "Well...we could play...tag? Or ...stick fight? " He liked stick fighting but tag was ok to. Plus they were outside, no use in showing her the fun inside games until he figured out if he liked her enough or not right?

Slven tilted his head waiting for her to reply, his amber orbs sliding from the girl to inspect the area for battle sticks just in case she picked that but also good places to run in circles to get her tired out for tag.

Tag? Stick fight? She wasn't really sure how either worked, but the sound of the latter piqued her interest. "How do you stick fight?" she asked, following his gaze as he glanced around. Was he looking for something for them to play with? Sticks, perhaps? What sort of sticks were necessary? How did one play and win? So many questions, but still so few answers...

A pleased grin passed over Slven's lips as Amber questions about stick fighting. He jogged from her towards the edge of the ship and bent down, grasping a long thick branch that had fallen from one of the trees, then another for her before sprinting back towards the blonde. He held out one of the sticks to her and tilted his head as he began to explain. "Like sword fighting, only with branches. " He blinked and waited for her to grasp the stick, once she had it the raven used his own stick to give hers a gentle tap before continuing the 'instructions'. "You see like that, only you can also try to poke the other person with it, and whoever drops their stick first or if the stick breaks they lose." Simple enough and it was fun.

Pulling his stick back he motioned around the area with it finishing his instructions with, "we can chase each other around the area and play... " Slven paused and gave her a curious yet challenging look with a slow soft purr of "...ready?"

Amber eyes followed the Slven as he jogged off to grab them some sticks. His explanation of 'like sword fighting' didn't really help her too much, but she took a moment to more closely examine the 'weapon' he had provided her. So this was what made for a good sword-fighting stick, eh? His looked much the same, so as far as she could tell there was no major advantage to one stick versus the other. That was good. That would make for fair play, right? So just poke, hit sticks, and try to win. Simple enough. "Ready," she agreed, before poking in rather unskillfully with her stick. Given this was her first try she still had much to learn on how to play the game without leaving her own defenses open.

Slven smirked slightly at the blonde haired girl before him, his hand gripping the stick tightly. "Good," he answered, dodging the unskilled poke with ease. He hoped the girl would catch on fast to make the game more interesting but he was willing to give her awhile to pick it up after all he hadn't been so great in the start either.

Slven turned after the dodge to the side, bringing his stick up in a rather impressive swing towards the center of the girls stick. After said swipe the raven danced back, seeming to be rather quick and light on his feet. He tried to get her to follow him back with a soft mocking sound to encourage the chase.

The outside seemed to quickly growing warmer and brighter with the oncoming evening, Slven noted as the top of his raven locks started to warm while they played. He wouldn't want to be out much longer...in fact this was getting close to being the longest the force affinity child had been outside.

Aw, he'd dodged. And before Amber could even try to move in for a second poke attempt his return strike had nearly knocked the stick out of her hand. Wow, he's good, she thought to herself, pausing briefly to analyze the situation. He was pulling back, urging her onward. There was a word for this... a trap? That sounded right. Still, she wanted to continue on with the game so she chased after him, watching carefully for any tricks he might try to pull. She had her own stick at the ready still.

Once she started to chase after him Slven quickly lead her to a grouping of rocks, leaping forward at her quickly. He took a mighty swing to the center of her stick, hoping to break it with the surprise if he managed to get it in on her. "Hi-ya!" Slven was focused on winning, though a part of him had decided he rather enjoying playing with Amber so he might invite her to get some juice with him when they went back inside.

"!!!" Amber tried to block his swing with her stick, but as he had planned the small piece of wood snapped under the force of his blow. But... but... that meant she lost... "Play again?" she asked, stubbornly refusing to simply take the loss. It didn't matter that he was older and more experienced than she was; she wanted to win. Not waiting for his answer, Amber tossed aside the broken stick and began looking around for a new one just like it. Maybe even a little bigger if she could find one. She had no intention of giving up until she'd won.
