~Sean Arthur Mclay~
Hunter of the Supernatural
Sean stumbled into the alley in a way that was somehow both quiet with skill but heavy with pain. He looked down at the wound on his side in annoyance, usually he was soundless, damm wound made him sloppy. Though he was still quiet enough that he didn't atract unwanted attention, and for that he was grateful. The last thing he needed was a fight at the moment.
Not that I wouldn't win, he thought cockily,
I just don't have the time.He swore under his breath when the sign told him what he already feared. The shop was closed, meaning his -fake- credit card would do no good here.
On to less conventional methods then, he thought wryly. His hand already going for the lockpick he always kept with him just for these occasions.
Sean didn't particurally like thieving, it was messy even for someone as good at it as him, and it brought annoying pissed off people to look for him( not that they ever found him, but still, it was annoying!), but like many annoying things it was nessesary. He didn't have the time to waste waiting around for whoever owned this shop, not to mention he couldn't very well explain just why what he needed was so urgent.
Yeah Hi, I hunt demons for a living, and because it isn't a paying job and my GPA commited suicide before freshman year was over I get by on credit card frauds and gambling, could you please please give me some very dangerous weapons so I can go kill the big bad fuzzy that's prowlin around campus? Oh and I may kill some of my classmates and others around too if they don't behave and start killin' people.Yeah that wouldn't go over over too well, Either the owner was human and wouldn't understand, or was non-human and went all hunter!-danger!-hunter! and tell every witch were and demon about him or do one better and try to kill him, he really wasn't up for either confrontation.
The lock gave way with a soft click shutting off his train of thought, he couldn't help but be impressed by what the shop had in stock, especially since it seemed like some of it was custom made, whoever owned this place had some skill.
Pity that after this he'll want my head on a pike, Sean thought,
I could have really become a regular here.Even if some of the stuff was out of his price range, he always had ways to get around that. And it'd be nice to have someone who liked custom weapons as much as he, not to mention a place where he could get his stuff fixed.
Putting all that aside Sean focused on the task at hand. Looking down at the main counter he took out a worn napkin with a barely legible rune design on it, he looked down at the book quickly matching the rune to it.
"Bullet proof glass" he muttered looking down with a face
"Of course they can't make this easy" he looked around with a sigh, he had shut off all the security cameras prior to breaking in (he was no rookie after all). Still, he wished he didn't have to do this.
Concentrating on a point in front of the book and bracing himself for recoil Sean shot round after round at the glass.
By the time he was out of rounds the glass had a decent hole, which after some maneuvering he was able to get his hand in and -again after some maneuvering- was able to take the book out.
On an impulse he left one of his credit cards on the counter, this one was a safety one, Sean actually knew the person who payed for it, so the owner would be able to use it to repair the glass without the cops showing up, and because it was under an alias, it wouldn't be traced back to him.
It should be able to pay for the book too, he thought taking the book, as well as some ammunition to replace the rounds he had fired and went out the same way he had come, not even looking at the cash register or any of the expensive weapons. This wasn't an actual robbery after all. He wasn't after cash. A small amount of blood had dripped down from a wound on his side, but thankfully he knew better than to get a trail.
