Okay, so I sit between to guys I sorta get along with sorta don't. They like to joke around. Today I didn't find it so funny. They kept asking things like "Do you like boys? Do you like girls? Are you bi?" I kept saying sure and not answering. Part of me wanted to get and say "I'm pansexual" but I didn't. When I stopped answering they said it's easy to answer they turned around and asked my friend who I told I was pansexual, and asked her if she liked boys. She responded. I said "Sure" to the boy question and didn't respond to the girl question. Also these are guys who go around jokingly saying "I like boys." I want to hit myself for not standing up and telling them I'm pansexual because through the grapevine my dad and family would hear and my dad isn't big on things like this. Not exactly homophobic but he doesn't think they should have kids (through adoption or any other way). My mom is different though. She thinks that they should adopt. It would not only help with the population but it would help kids in general. My brother agrees.

I've been in this sort of situation before, hell, it just about defines my high school career. Don't let it get to you, these things happen, another chance will present itself. Also, although these sorts of people are annoying, going off on them will only galvanize them to annoy you more. If you're going to stand up to them, do it in a calm and quiet fashion. They will more than likely ask a lot of stupid stereotypical questions, and you should answer these as calmly as possible, it'll be hard, but the pride that comes with the end result will far outweigh the temporary satisfaction that will come from going ballistic on them.

Oh oh oh oh! I can give you help with this! (I'm a girl bytheway)
For the bullies at my school I was a rare steak for a carnivore or a tall glass of water in a drought. Why I never found out why. I never did anything... However one jack-arse started a rumor I was a lesbian. (I laugh at this.) Well one boy in my oral communications class works up the balls to ask if I was a lesbian. Of course they all got quiet and I look up innocently at him. (Drawing at the time I was so the distrubance was odd, no one bothered me during my scribbles anymore.) Seeing he was serious I crinkled my brow and sat up straight as a board and lifted my chin. (Just to say I hadn't decided my sexuality on this yet, I was only in 9th grade at the time, but it's halirious to say this is what got me thinking of it.)
I guess I looked reagal looking down my nose at him, shoulders squared, back straight, sitting prim and proper, hands folded with my pencil on my desk as I asked him back,"So what if I am?" I added a frown with a questioning look for kicks.
You know what he did? cat_biggrin Fell over almost. Right out of his desk with his shock. The whole class looked at me as I busted up laughing. Needless to say the rumor spread and I had fun with it.
So the next time they ask you those questions look them straight in the eyes, don't back down. You need to use the most honest tone when you ask them,"Why? Does it matter to you?" or "I'm neither." or to simply just tell them, "I'm Pansexual." Then continue on your business. Add a smile or keep your look placid. It's not their business so you don't have to tell them a damn thing, but if you do... Do it in a way that they would believe you and that they couldn't retort to. Play it cool and don't be effect by what they do about it. Because they just want to be high and mighty.
((And if you didn't know, they're closets. That should make you feel better. My whole foot ball team that sexually harrassed me was. Why else would they touch each other in class and hold hands in the hall walking shoulder to shoulder?))

Ya. Staying calm would work best. These guys take what they can get and make it a big deal so flipping out would just mess everything up.

When I was a sophmore there was a rumor at my school that my best friend Dusti and I were Living together and were engaged which wasnt true (we ended up dating a year and a half later but decided we were better as friends). Whenever anyone would ask me if it was true I would tell them no and when they asked about my sexuality I waould just say "does it really matter?" and that normally kept them from harassing me
