Hi, my name is Professor Valentine Maude.
I'm a female.
I will be your Charms teacher
I'm 65 years old.
The house I'm in is Hufflepuff.
I may seem dull, boring, and not much fun to be around. Some people think I just sit around knitting all day but I'm really a lot more exciting than that. I like to have fun, just not all the time. I'm strict and pretty neat.
My background story is a bit long, but that's to be exepected. I've seen quite a few years, however, my story began on Valentine's Day. That's actually how I got my name. My parents, both Muggles, weren't exactly ready for me, but they did their best to love me and give me the life that they thought I should have.
I didn't have much growing up, but I was glad to be accepted to Hogwarts. When I arrived there, I was shocked to see how people lived there. It was rather comfortable, with enough food for plenty of servings. I do have to admit that I didn't know what to do with myself.
I was a Hufflepuff, not that I really minded much. I was a hard worker who was pretty friendly to everyone. Those were things that my parents put into my head. Just because I wasn't having anything amazing going on didn't mean that I had to treat other people horribly.
I achieved my N.E.W.T.s in Charms, Herbology, and Potions. I took a few other classes, but I can't remember them much. After graduating, I met a young Muggle by the name of Devin Maude. He was my age, working as a freelance cellist. I had a job in a small shop in Diagon Alley. We ran into each other one night, and the sparks flew. A few years later, we were married. We even had a son named Collin.
At the age of eleven, Collin recieved his acceptance letter to Hogwarts. That was when I finally had to tell him about what I was. At least I had experience with dealing with my own parents. Devin handled it quite well, in fact, he was quite supportive of our son, and insisited upon buying him a broom on which to play Quidditch his Second Year. Collin was good at Charms, like myself, but he showed an intrest more in sports. He was a Gryffindor. I suppose it's no surprise that he's currently travelling around to see different sports.
Which brings me to the present. I'm all alone, since Devin died of cancer last year. Magic can do a lot of things, but I know of no way to cure cancer. I've been trying to get in contact with Collin to tell him, but he hasn't come home. He didn't even come home for the funeral. That's really why I took this job.
I enjoy the company of other people, my pet, snowstorms, cellos, and sunrises.
I despise being helpless, listening to other people complaining, theifs, and pranks.
I look like myself.
My wand is a 12 inch willow with a core of fairy wings.
