Introducation time, here we go. This is RP is for TRAINEES and GRUNTS ONLY! Sorry agents, but you're expected to know how to do this stuff already. If you don't come in before my second post, just assume you were there but in the background. We don't need latecomers/no one would know where they're going anyway. If you have a dark ball, you may use it if you catch a pokemon.
"Alright," The back doors to the van the various grunts and trainees had been packed into early in the morning opened, flooding the cabin with light, silhouetting a tiny form with a puff on top. "Line up, troops." The Elite motioned with a thumb to 'out', and moved out of the way of the doors. When everyone was out of the van, she spoke up again.
"Listen up. I've gotten some reports that some of our members are in need of some serious training, so here we are." A tiny zubat sat perched on the elite's shoulder with a tiny box strapped to its neck. "I don't know if you've heard things about other training missions... but this won't be as easy as those. When we go on real missions, we aren't fighting newbie trainers with piddly little charmanders; We're fighting the police, we're fighting Team Galactic, and we're fighting the League. So no more playing around. This is a well traveled area, there are all sorts of people around here, and there is a city not too far away. I want you to go out there and bring me back someone else's pokemon. You've got until sundown. Don't get captured or arrested, either. We aren't posting bail today." Despite the serious content of her speech, Nyx retained a smile.
"Go on, have fun." She waved the group off.

The grunt put up his arm to shade his face with his sleeve from the blinding light that spilled into the van. He squinted in the sunshine, tying to make out the speaker who had addressed them all. He couldn't help but wonder just how old she was.
Obediently, the teenager got up and hopped out the back doors, blinking slowly as he adjusted while the last of them finished exiting the vehicle. He could barely process the information that was being given to them, early as it was and as groggy as he felt. As usual, the grunt hadn't gotten a very good night's sleep, but it was always the same and he was starting to get used to it. Nightmares were becoming routine now.
What was going on, again? Something about a training mission. Supposedly, this one was more difficult than most others according to the white-haired elite. However, he words failed to strike any real terror in the grunt. For some reason, he felt oddly relaxed and calm...more so than he ever remembered being...and not because he was still waking up, either. He just couldn't see what could be so difficult about a mission so long as they did what they were told. He didn't even feel the least bit anxious, although this made him somewhat uneasy in itself. Why wasn't he nervous? He had never done anything like this before.
Maybe his brain would catch up once they actually started taking action. The elite was already giving them their first real, direct order - go out and steal a pokemon from someone else. Something in the young man stirred, making him wince ever so slightly, but he knew this had to be done. He didn't like it, but he wasn't about to go against orders. It was for the good of the team.
The task seemed simple enough in itself - steal a pokemon and don't get caught. He could do that...right? "Yes ma'm," he told Nyx seriously, bowing his head before jogging off away from the group. If he was going to get this done, he wanted a good head start so he could finish as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there was one small problem the teen had overlooked...he didn't have a pokemon to defend himself with.

Oh boy! Her first mission! Okay, so it was for training. But still! Her first one since joining Team Rocket. The trainee could barely keep still in her excitement. It showed by her playing with her hair, or her skirt, even the tapping of her go-go boots. At one point, her hand drifted to the pokeball hanging off of her star shaped belt. Valentine was stoked to use her Tepig soon.
Would they be allowed to keep the Pokemon they stole? That'd be wicked. If not...it was stealing. Always fun in the female's book. And until sundown? Should be a peace of cake...Right? Hopefully. Valentine didn't want to fail...
But where should she start? The city? Perhaps. Depended on how long Valentine stood there trying to figure stuff out or how long it took to travel. With a grin on her face, the violet haired youth saluted Nyx, "Aye aye!", and started working her way in the direction of the city, whistling a random tune.

Exit the van, sure, was getting tight in there anyway. Dark hands reached up to grip the top of the van's door ways, and the dark tattooed grunt took a more active exit, swinging himself out and dropping himself to his feet before straightening up. Taking a posture so laid back that it could be uncertain if he had just jumped out as quickly as he had or not.
Jerome slipped his hands in his pocket, standing with the group like he should, and listening to the tiny poofy haired elite. Steal Pokemon from someone huh? not a new concept to him, can't really be too different from tax collecting from dealers on the streets, or rival gangs. though, this time, the target, and the prize would be something new to him.
He hummed in response, reacting when other grunts around him voiced their understanding to the Elite.

Ugh. Arceus, vans were just nasty. And early in the morning; it wasn't an unfamiliar time of day, but to be packed into a van at such an hour was awful. She'd tried to block it out and sit quietly, aware of those around her, but silent throughout the journey.
Tambrey was glad when the vehicle stopped and the doors were opened; she climbed out, feeling a little awkward- she'd been up against Galactic, after all- but then again, she had definitely felt just a little bit useless a few times. This training would do her some good, she knew it.
Her eyes watched the zubat while she listened, prompting her to check her belt for Lasi's pokeball. She was glad for his presence; he and Palu were her two most reliable.
The grunt blinked a little as she stood in the light and listened to the assignment. It wasn't a huge shock. It was more difficult sounding than she'd imagined, though; random, potentially skilled, trainers. Tambrey responded to the orders with a small salute though without vocalization; she'd do her best.
On the order to go, she paused and decided to think carefully about where to try; logically, more people should be located near or in the city and this would be both a good and a bad thing... To minimize the risk of capture, yet increase her chances of success, then the outskirts of the city, where people were coming and going yet not so crowding, might be just the place...

Shawn Not long after leaving the rest of the group, Shawn would hear a cheerful humming coming from the tree line, the source of which was a young girl, maybe ten or eleven, visible in a clearing. The small girl was sitting on a picnic blanket eating a sandwich with a little zubat on her shoulder and a togepi sitting beside her.
-----
Valentine An older gentleman was traveling the same road as Tambrey, but headed in the opposite direction. There were a set of pokeballs on his belt, visible under his jacket. "Good morning, miss." The man greeted her as he neared.
-----
Jerome "Do you have a question?" Nyx asked the gangster after a group of the rockets left ahead, and he remained behind.
-----
Tambrey There were plenty of people wandering around, even on the outskirts. A group of school children were battling their newly received pokemon, a girl in a sleek red coat was practicing for contests with her wigglytuff, and a street performer standing on the side of the path playing a guitar were some of the ones that stood out the most.

His attention immediately drawn to the humming, Grunt Shadow headed toward the source of the sound, using the nearby trees for cover. Upon seeing the little girl on her picnic basket, he raised a brow, wondering if she was out there on her own. Shadow supposed it was probable considering the girl evidently had a couple of pokemon with her, sharing her meal on the picnic basket. She must have been a trainer on a journey, perhaps quite far from home.
The grunt turned over his options in his head. He could go over and talk to her, but that would be unwise. If she was going to be his target, there was no point in unnecessary interaction. He could confront her with a battle, but as he thought of this, he reached down to his pocket and discovered - nothing. Strange. Why had he thought something would have been there? Muscle memory...?
Okay, so that option was out, but he wasn't going to give up so soon. It was only a zubat and a togepi. Sure, the child might have had other pokemon with her, but if he could be quick about things, he could be off before she even had time to call out others. Right. One problem he had was that he couldn't just swoop in and snatch up a pokemon without knowing where their pokeballs were or the girl would be able to recall them immediately. Thus, the first mission was to locate the girl's pokeballs.
Edging in closer, Shadow stepped slowly, hoping to be discreet about his approach and avoid drawing attention to himself. He had to think. He could have tried to lure her pokemon with food, but they were already eating and he had none. If he pretended to be a pokemon to scare the girl away, she could turn around and attack him instead if she did, indeed, turn out to be a trainer. What to do...
Immediately a thought came to him. It was a long shot, but it was worth a try. Taking out his Rocket 'dex, Grunt Shadow searched for the identity of the eggshell-encased pokemon. There. Togepi. Now if he could get the 'dex to emit its cry...
"Togeprrrriiiii!!"
...maybe he could lure the baby pokemon to him with the sound of its own kind.

Inigo had sat nervously in the van on the way there, clasping and unclasping his hands for almost the entire ride. He could do this. He could do this. He had to do this. He'd be in big trouble if he didn't, surely. He would, right? Probably. Either way, he didn't want to take any chances.
When Nyx opened the door he jerked his head up, green eyes blinking rapidly at the sudden burst of sunlight, but he obediently got out of the van and waited while she spoke. Arceus, he wasn't ready for this.. Would he really be able to steal someone's pokemon..?
Well, only one way to find out... He reached up to rub the back of his neck a little as he headed off towards... somewhere. He wasn't really sure where yet, but hopefully towards a potential target. ...it felt weird to think of a person as a target, but.. But he had to do this. Had to.
He halted, and a moment later two flashes of white light produced a pair of Whimsicotts. "I'm gonna need your help today guys," he informed the pair with a sigh before he started walking again. With how often the two of them - Bonnie especially - liked hiding things, he figured they were his best bet. Leilani would just stand there, Dimitri would ignore everything, and Fantasia would hide behind him. Yeah, Bonnie and Clyde were definitely his best bet. "Just.. do what you guys do best, okay?"
Bonnie's mouth formed into a small 'o' when she understood the hint - which went right over Clyde's head - and she moved closer to her cousin as they bounced after Inigo. "Whimsi, cott!" "Whimsi?" "'msi, whimsicott!"

Valentine gave the gentleman a smile, waving to him as she continued towards him. "Good morning sir! A lovely day for a walk isn't it?" Her gaze looked him over quickly, before going back to his eyes. An older gentleman, with several pokeballs. A seasoned trainer perhaps? Which meant she couldn't take him lightly. The brush and snatch move wouldn't work. At least, Valentine wouldn't dare try that one. No doubt he would notice and then try to apprehend her....right? Which was one of the things the Elite had warned the group about before sending them off.
For now, Valentine would bid her time. She had till sundown. Who knows, maybe there would be a chance later to snatch from him, or there could be a better target later.

Well, there was, at least, quite a choice. Ugh. More people than she was expecting at once... The kids would be the... easiest(?) targets of course... Maybe. Tambrey chewed on her lip- perhaps not. Children were awkward creatures and probably dangerous to underestimate. And there were multiple children here. Dismissing them as a target, Tambrey turned her gaze on the other potentials...
The girl in the red coat, practicing for contests (well, that was really disheartening- it was going to have to be her, wasn't it) seemed like a suitable potential target. She was probably less dangerous than the kids could be... but of course, she should keep looking before committing herself...
The musician. He might not even -have- any pokemon. And disturbing a constant noise source would probably end up being a very bad idea.
As far as Tambrey could work out, the girl and her Wigglytuff were probably going to be the best target for her goal. Now she needed a plan. The other targets had to be considered here as risks. The kids were probably inexperienced, but they could still be a problem. She still knew too little about that musician to say whether he was a threat or not. She watched for a moment, before deciding upon a tactic that was risky, but had the possibility to go very well if she pulled it off right.
The grunt adopted her best smile, adjusted her glasses and released her Chikorita. Treestar blinked, surprised to have been called out, before looking up to his trainer with a pleased little smile and a waggle of his leaf. "Cheeka!" "Treestar, d'ya remember what I told you the other day? That thing we were going to practice? Well, I know we didn't get to practice after all, but when I give you the signal I'm going to need you to try and grab for me, okay?" She watched the grass type for a moment, smiling when his unsure expression became a nod. "Now, jus' follow my lead until then, okay."
And then, with the little starter trotting beside her, she strode out and toward the target. "Hey there!" Tambrey greeted the red-coated trainer, smiling to match her friendly tone. "Ah'm sorry to disturb y' trainin', but Ah had t' compliment ya on it. Ya'll mind if me an' ma partner might join ya?" Where the frak had that come from? She hadn't planned on putting on an accent... "Cheeka!" Treestar greeted the Wigglytuff brightly. "I'm, uh. Jill and that there's Brandon." Well, if she was using a fake accent, why not fake the names?

Shawn The baby pokemon stared in the direction the pokedex's cry had come from, confused, but quickly decided that it was excited. "Togetoge!" It sat up and waddled towards the hidden human. "H-hey! Deedee, wait!" The little girl scrambled up to her feet to follow after her pokemon.
-----
Inigo Before long, Inigo would pass a huge muscled man in a biker's jacket on the road. He was bald, tattoo'd, and looked like a grizzled old bad a**.
-----
Valentine In the distance there was a group of teenagers standing around, a few of them even had pokeballs on their belts. They were excitedly talking about the next contest scheduled to be in Kodo.
-----
Tambrey "Hm..? Oh..." The girl looked surprised by the sudden request, "Sure. Uh, I'm Sandy, and this is Sebastian... Nice to meet you?" The wigglytuff smiled brightly and held out a paw to the grass type starter.

When the question was directed toward him, he blinked once, but shook his head quietly, had he look like he had a question? oops
He turned his head away from her, lingering for a while as he glanced around at the others as they made their own separate ways.
This was the bizarre part to Jerome, his brow furrowing slightly as he watched each of the rockets splitting from the larger team and going off on their own. They would be working alone it seemed, he was so used to a group, working alone now seemed a bit intimidating, not that he would admit, or show this. "Hn." Jerome grunted as a form drifted into sight next to him, the Gangar crossing his arm with a toothy frown on his features. "Gar gar" The ghost said with a sideways glance to his trainer.
Jerome twitched a shoulder lightly in a shrug, "Guess we'll find out." He responded. Hearing the sigh from his Gangar partner and feel the presence of him drift backward and down, melding easily into Jerome's shadow and once again out of sight. It was at this point that Jerome finally started to walk. In no particular rush, and heading in a direction that didn't isolate him from the others, but had its own destination. After a time, one of his hands finally moved pulling out of his pocket and lifting up a cartridge of cigarettes to allowed his lips to out guide a single one, out. Dark eyes scanning the aria around him as he replaced the pack with a lighter to light his cigarette. He remained on one of the main roads, oddly enough, though chose to linger as close to the trees as he could, since there didn't seem to be an buildings in the aria, the damn trees would have to do.

It worked...? It worked! Good, now he had to...think fast. Sure, he had 'Deedee' coming his way, but without the Togepi's pokeball, capturing it would be futile. What now? Its trainer would be on them in seconds. Fidgeting with his pockets, his fingers found a small, spherical object. Something at the back of his mind told him it was empty, but it still sparked an idea. Lunging forward, he made a grab for the baby pokemon and sat at the base of the tree with Deedee in his lap, trying to seem natural.
Wait...who was that in the distance? That tattooed fellow...hadn't that been one of the guys in the van? Shadow frowned, wondering where his fellow grunt was headed on his own. Maybe he could help him out after this if he managed to get away with his prize. The girl still had at least a zubat, after all.

Jerome Some ways down the road from Jerome was a bench with a sole girl sitting on it. She was a young woman of slight build and a ponytail with a jolteon laying at her feet.
-----
Shawn Deedee squeaked with alarm when the egg pokemon was plucked up suddenly by a stranger. It stared at this new human for a minute, and then began to bawl. "Hey! What are you doing with my Deedee?" The small girl stormed over, following the sounds of the crying pokemon.

Getting no response from the gentleman, Valentine continued on her way. Her first target must have had somewhere to be if he wasn't going to stop for a chat, or at least reply to her. Perhaps it was for the best she left him alone, who knew?
So, whistling once again, the female swayed to the tune, pausing briefly as she heard excited chattering. A group? Teenagers? Perfect~ Valentine maneuvered herself towards the group. As she got closer she raised a hand in greeting. "Hey! What's this about a contest?"
Get them talking, perhaps be a little buddy-buddy, should be a since to steal from. At least, that was the theory at the moment. Valentine knew that plans hardly went the way one wanted them to go.
