Pandora: Lonely. She wonders if she should be feeling this. She has Apollo, she sees Rowan almost every week. So why? Loneliness. She feels lonely. Apollo is growing older as the days go by, soon he will be grown. Soon he will leave.... Rowan he... She wasn't sure. She wasn't good enough for him, his flirtations left her wondering if that was all she was to him. Something to flirt with. She didn't see herself acceptable enough to love or adore.... No. She was a freak. Ever since she adopted Apollo she had swept him away from the abadoned hospital she used to live in and now they resided in a small house in the woods. Her son... the only thing that truly loved her and eventually. eventually he to would leave. She was lucky he could not feel the aura of fear she naturally had.... she was lucky. As she wondered around the lake near the house she wondered if when he grew if then he'd feel it... Then... then what?
Scorch: How he had managed to get himself into this area was beyond him. Then again, he was the one wandering aimlessly around, wasn't he? This wasn't the time for him to drop his guard down, to act and think like such a fool. Yet, while he was on the outskirts of the trees, and being that it was dark enough [although it wouldn't matter much because of the fires that permanently glowed upon his tail and horns], why not at least stop to drink by the water's edge? The area seemed to be desolate enough, so anyone who would be deemed a fool would, or should be, more than far enough away from his being. Following his mind [which was now in an anger] and leading his paws towards the water's edge, he caught the scent of something very odd, an anomaly he had never caught scent of before. He turned his head, firey eyes scanning the area in the direction of whicht the scent had wafted itself beneath his nose. Yet, he could not see a single creature, no matter how intricately his gaze prodded and scanned everything that they could grasp. How dare the creature hide from him! Why didn't they show themselves to him, so that he could chase them out himself? He didn't want such a fool, such an inferior being to have the chance to observe him. "Menial creature...how dare you not show yourself to me?" He drew his lips and snarled, his temper clearly getting the best of him.
Pandora: When she hears the voice she wonders in the back of her head if she should respond. Her red eyes glowed briefly in the shadows before she closed them, willing herself to keep silent. She did not know this voice, she did not know if they were dangerous. Though.... few were dangerous to her. Her fear aura would frighten away anyone, and it was rare to meet anyone immune like her son. However... Her eyes opened to view fire, the flickers outlining a fox. A male it seemed. Men. This almost made her withdraw more, she didn't want to deal with yet another man rejecting her appearance. It was why she left the city. Yet... this was her chance to speak to a living creature other than her son. "Menial creature? Perhaps you are not looking hard enough?"
Scorch: "Perhaps if you weren't being such a coward-" Huh? Looking hard enough? It was then when he caught sight of two red eyes, simply peering at him through the darkness. Sure, the creature, most likely female from the pitch of the voice, had talked back to him, but its body was still concealed by whatever it was hiding in. And come to think of it, how dare they verbally respond to him without showing themselves? He was the kind of person to be obeyed, and be obeyed immediately. "You heard what I said. I still do not see you showing yourself to me, even when I asked politely. I will ask again, and only once more, for you to show yourself to me. I want to be able to gaze upon the being who dares to disrespect me and hide from me." Truly, he was surprised by how kindly he was speaking out to this other creature, especially when they had done nothing to earn his respect. If they refused to comply, he would simply begin to burn the area down, or simply scavenge around until he found them so he would be able to drag them out himself.
Pandora: She snorted softly. The gentle vixen was becoming annoyed and worried. Mostly worried for her son. Glaring at him now, she flicked her tail softly, approaching closer until his flames could illuminate her paws. Or... should have illuminated. "I am what you see. Just darkness. There is nothing to show you for if it was morning you would ask me to leave the shade, as you are asking me to leave the darkness. I am merely darkness, not any color except solid darkness." Briefly she wondered if he could feel her aura, but she dismissed this thought. Of course he did....
Scorch: Even as she had been moving closer to him, all he could see was her glowing, red eyes. He kept his tail up, occasionally lashing around behind him, and his teeth lightly exposed as she strided closer and closer. The only true thing that he could conclude from such a thing was that her coat was a lovely shade a black, yet so lovely and dark that it was hard to tell apart shadow from her body. However, he soon discovered that this wasn't the case. Even though evening was settling in quite swiftly, even the glows from his horns could not distinguish the outlines on her face or her paws; but yet when she turned her face on occasion, he could clearly see the outline of a snout and a nose, no? This must be a trick, a prank of some sort. Was someone truly foolish enough to paint themselves black, hoping that someone would come along to fool them? If that was the case, this idiot was probably about to loose their life. But if not, if this honestly wasn't an illusion, he was very much impressed. Listening to her words, his tail and lips dropped, somehow finding truth to what she was telling him. "Well, I'm rather impressed, then. So, does this make you the spirit of darkness, perhaps summoned by my presence? Or would you consider yourself a being?" He had never encountered such a creature, or thing, before, and he was truly intrigued by such a thing.
Pandora: "Spirit of darkness? I doubt it. If anything I am..." She stopped. She was? It made her throat choke everytime she said it, her heart seize and her breath falter. She hated saying it, she hated admitting it. She knew she couldn't run away for long, she was lucky she has the comfort of Apollo to run to. She was lucky and blessed in a way... Yet... "Summoned by you?" She suddenly laughed, amused. "I am not a god. I'm just a fox, like you." Like him? Ha. Ha! Why would she say that? Was she denying the truth again? Probably. Her tail flicked once, creating a soft whooshing sound behind her. "Emodiment of fear. That is what I call myself."
Scorch: "Oh? Is that so?" Although his tail flicked around behind him, this time it was of curiosity rather than lashing out as a threat. He began to listen to her intently, something he rarely did for anyone other than himself. Even the flames on his tail and horns began to lessen, his temper and feelings of wrath dwindling. His interest was truly being reaching a possible peak; what an interesting creature this female was! "Somehow, I disbelieve that you are merely a fox such as I. And to call yourself the embodiment of fear; until you have said such a thing, I believed, and still believe, that I am truly the embodiment of fear."
Pandora: She smirked slightly, eyes raising to watch the male. "Can you, by merely touching another person, make them feel, smell, see, and taste their worse fears without trying? Can you turn the corner and watch as others flinch away and run because the second you grew close then sensed an aura of fear and panic? If you want this title you seem to be attached to I'd give you my "curse" happily."
Scorch: His tail finally fully relaxed, no longer swishing and lowering itself comfortably. He snorted cockily, raising his nose [with his horn] upwards in a pround manner of posing himself. "Why, of course I can! I *am* their worst fear!" The flickers of fires beyond his eyes flashed dangerously, the thought of him overpowering all others with not only his pure strength, but by his mere destiny to be better than everyone else. "As for a curse, my dear, I doubt anything you could bestow onto me would be called as such~" Yes, he could be "kind", he could flirt with others if he wished, especially at moments with possibilities such as these. This female had a lot of potential, especially if he could find himself talking to her in a neutral, calm way. He almost spoke and thought of her as an equal.
Pandora: For a brief second she contemplated stepping back, returning to her son. This man was clearly not someone she should socialize with. Yet he was speaking to her and not with that familiar fear she had grown accustomed to. No. She was guilty of desiring company, though could you blame her? As his tone changed her eyes flicked to watch him, widening slightly. Wait wait. What? She almost sputtered in response, looking away rapidly. She must be misunderstanding his tone. "Ah. Is t-that so....?" Stuttering. Nice. Good job Pandora.
Scorch: Ah, did she just stutter? So he *was* better than her, after all, not equal! If he ever stuttered, it would therefore make him less than perfect, and therefore he would rather be killed by a kit than stutter. However, if he wished to uncover her potentials, he would not let on to such a thing, such an opinion. This, as an example, was just one example of his perfection; he was solely anti-social, despised the very thought of conversing with others, and yet he tended to know just what kinds of things to say, and to whom. How could one as desolate as him posess such a skill if they never spoke a single word, only on rare occasions? "Why, of course! A being as wonderful as yourself, how could you possibly be able to put a curse upon another? Any powers that you have could only be positive~" Oh, he absolutely could not believe just how stupid he sounded, but if it helped him wiggle into her trust, at least temporarily, he would most likely be satesfied.
Pandora: Her eyes narrowed suddenly, tail flicking side to side. This man was going overboard, no one would be so kind to a creature such as herself. Previously he had a different personality. This was strange, something was off. "Postitve? I do not call my mere prescense or touch causing another person to scream and run a postitive aspect. Perhaps if they were annoying me, but this is something I cannot control. It is just me, as is the color of my body and my eyes. I cannot change those, I cannot change my curse." She stopped, curiously eying his flames. "Don't you feel it?"
Scorch: Ah, she had fallen for the 'positive' trap that he made, as miniature as it was. To most "moral" people, yes, her powers were not positive, but terrifyingly negative. However, "Positive for a few reasons, you see," he began, his eyes lowering in a myserious, yet gentle, way. "For one, it can be a defence mechanism. If someone's bothering you or if you are in danger, you can show them true fear to change their minds on the situation. Or it can perhaps be an enlightenment tool, able to share with others their fears and make them learn to handle them. Is that not so bad?" He tilted his head in a rather curious way, for it usually allowed others to see him as more compromiseable or perhaps curious, rather than ready to snap their necks. The flames on his horns rose with his peaking interest, noticing how she was opening speaking about her inner conflicts with herself; and was he perhaps feeling the same, sharing her feelings of the inner sanctum of a monster? No, of course not. He was much unlike her, confident with himself and his inner beast. However, the question that followed afterwards confused him for a moment. "Excuse me? Feel what?" She couldn't have meant her fear aura, no? Didn't he not tell her already that he was the most fearful thing there could be? Why should he fear her, or even feel her aura?
Pandora: "A defense mechanisim? Yes. It can and has been used that way, though that is not the issue. The issue is that I cannot turn it off." Hm. His head tilting, once more her eyes raising to his flames, curiously. She almost desired to reach her paw out and see if heat escaped them, though she didn't. Instead, she locked her eyes onto his. His question answered her. He did not it seemed. "Nothing." She answered with. Why go into detail if he clearly did not feel what others often did? Why question it? "Your flames, can you control them completely?"
Scorch: Ah, this was a very interesting specimin indeed. He had never met anyone like this before in his past, and never did he truly even excpect to. So, he was on her level when her aura served as a defensive tool, but his other example didn't seem to leave any sort of real impression on her. Oh well, he was bound to captivate her in other ways, he was sure. Besides, he was perfect! Before he knew it, he noticed some sort of odd glint in her eyes, some sort of odd angle they began to slightly and intricately form. Was she gazing at his horns? Ah, so she was! "Completely? Are you trying to make a reference to yourself through me?" He saw what she was trying to do, and such a thing would not work on him. Sure, he knew that he couldn't necissarily control his flames [for they worked in perfect unity along with his emotions which he already contained such a low temper with], but he knew how to work them. The ones that reflected within his eyes, however, he could not. "Why yes, of course I can. They are mine, so they will do as I command them to; nothing less." He noticed how his words were suddenly being spit outwards, making him sound like his original hostile persona once again, but as soon as he finished speaking he relaxed himself onto his haunches and pulled his lips back down on top of his teeth. "But if you wished to know a 'flaw' about me, then it is the ones within my eyes that I cannot control."
Pandora: "Reference to myself?" She snorted suddenly, chuckling softly. "Can't I just be curious?" She asked, finally a smile touching her face, her white lips curving at the edges. "How far do they go, may I ask?" She suddenly regarded him with a warmer expression, as if he had somehow magically redeemed himself from earlier. Perhaps it was because he could not feel her aura. Perhaps it was his confidence that amused her. Right now she was content in relaxing her muscules and her tone. She wasn't going to usher him into her house right now, her son was something only the persistent could gain access to, but he was less of a threat to herself at this point. "A flaw? It seems you expose your flaws quicker than I anticipated."

Scorch: He briefly flared his nostrils in such a way that one couldn't tell if he was being aggressive or sarcastic, but as he continued on it didn't seem to be of any significant matter. "Curious? Yes, you can be curious if you wish. However, veing curious can be a harmful weakness, if one does not weild it appropriately." He felt as his eyes glinted victoriously when he noticed her warming expression, satesfied that he was getting into a more comfortable "zone" within the female's boundaries. "As to how far they go, are you trying to ask about how large my flames could be?" However, as she continued onwards in her replies, he felt a flicker or irritation spark within his chest, heating up dramatically before dying off within a very brief moment. Dare she just try to expose some "flaw" of him? He, the most perfect being? He felt his lips quiver in a swelling rage, but seeing how his progress was going with this remarkably potential being, he stilled them and refered to one of his previous sentences. "Yes, that may very well be," he began to reply, his voice tense and strained only as he started, for he relaxed himself further with each new word, "but this is the only flaw of mine that I have. It won't be a flaw for long, as I will surely master such a miniscule issue in a matter of time."
Pandora: Suddenly, her lips curved into a thin smile, his tense voice causing the vixen to almost /laugh/. Why? He seemed so full of himself, that irritation only served to amuse her. Watching him, her eyebrow raised, tail flicking. "At least you admit it." She purred, chuckling lowly. "I couldn't imagine you ever admitting your faults."
Scorch: "Of course I admitted it. I'm proud enough about myself to do so, and it's not like it's something you could use against me. Besides, it won't be a flaw for long, as I already said if you were paying attention," he narrowed his eyes, however in a relaxed way, and gave a flick of his ears as he neared the end of his sentence. This female was amusing him, and only continued to prove her potentail, but the way she was subtley pressing any such faults about him ticked him off. "And what of your own? Just a while ago, you claimed you had some, as well." He created a light, coy smile of his own, his eyes glinting with both pride and lust as he added in a small flirt to his previous repsonse. "But you seem to be someone who couldn't have any such things, which makes it so hard to believe."
Pandora: With a flick of her tail, she just chuckled. "Perhaps you would need to stick around to see another flaws within me." At the flirtation her head tilted to the side, eyes hardening. Oh, it did make her nervous, of course, but she was a grown woman. She had a son to care for and a duty as a mother, she shouldn't be falling for such temptations. She didn't respond to his flirtation, only flicked her ear once. And then a piercing scream alerted her, her head raising rapidly. "Apollo!" He must be having another night terror! Quickly, she vanished, however if Scorch merely followed the sound of hurried feet he'd easily find the house she was heading for.
Scorch: Her positive reactions helped to reinforce his already positive attitude towards wooing her and gaining her trust. He smiled once more when she warmly returned a flirt to one of his own. He purred, which coming from his throat could possibly be mistaken for a growl, "Perhaps I just may. You're enticing enough; I may just have to take you up on your offer." However, he gave a brief flick of disapproval of his tail when she did not return a flirt or a comment towards his lastest flirt, and the happier glint in his eyes began to darken. Yet it was not as surprising as what followed next, when he heard a scream pierce the serenity of the night that shrouded them both. Now, now, who could this be? It certantly belonged to someone of which the shadowy female knew, and cared enough to run after. Ah, yes, she did know the owner, for she was more than willing to wail its name. But who was this "Apollo"? A friend, a sibling? A lover? But as she ran off, he sat still as a stone, his smile stretching wider and wider. "Ah, can't stand it any more, darling? Already ready for me to bed you? I know it may be exciting to be active with a god, someone as flawless as me, but please try to contain yourself!" He chuckled sarcastically, slowly rising on his haunches before trotting off in her direction. If this actually was her lover, perhaps he could paint his claws tonight after all. Or at least get a little bit further into her mind by seeing what kind of lifestyle she led.
Pandora: She didn't hear his sarcastic quip, to busy with her mind racing over the possible scenarios. Her son could be having a night terror... or he could be dead. She should have raised him in that abandoned hospital, at least no one would ever touch him. The ghosts there were harmless. Yet, once she reached the house, flung the door open and leaving it ajar, and raced up the stairs she found a clearly alive Apollo. He was on the ground, curled into himself, his tiny little claws clawing into the flesh of his arms. When his mother entered he looked up, usually glaring eyes widen with fear and tears. It didn't take long for Pandora to sweep him into her arms and being to coo sweet, fond words at the normally rebellious boy, her paws massaging the back of his spine. "Shhh baby. Shhh. I'm here. No more of that, okay? Shhh."
Scorch: Because of his larger than average frame, although he traveled at a trot, he reached her distination not too long after she had. He was more than prepared for company and a surprise, but he was not expecting such a surprise as this. The next surpirse he faced hit him with both a negative and positive shine; a small kit being warming attended to by her. She had already had offspring? But this was such a poorly constructed kit; it obviously didn't have her genes. But if it did? Then, either way, it appeared that she was already willing to raise children on her lonesome. This, he discovered, was a flaw of hers. Both of having responsibilities to something other than herself, and to have a heart warm with genuine and caring attitudes, rather than firey rage and drive. It was also rather unsafe on her part to allow him to follow her without even attempting to turn him away; now, if he so chose, he could kill this kit that she was obviously trying so hard to protect from the world. However, harming the kit didn't amuse him at the time, and he was going to choose to leave it be. Although he could tell that this kit was not hers, feeling that its aura did not even share a sliver of likeness to her own body's, he playfully stated, "Ah, I wasn't aware that you had a mate. And I was just getting warmed up to you~"
Pandora: When her head raised she blinked at the man, her tail wrapping around Apollo, just in case. "I've never had a mate." She responded with, lowly. "He's adopted, though he is my most beloved person in this world. Ever." Her voice seemed slightly aggressive, as if warning the male if he so much as harmed a hair on the boy. Apollo looked up, his teary eyes suddenly becoming violent, protective, and hateful, glaring at the man until Pandora turned her attention back to him, looking up at his mother with large eyes. "I didn't mean to ditch you. I wanted to get to him. He has night terrors often."
Scorch: There it was, just as he expected when he could tell that this kit was not of her flesh. Her genes, like his own, when blended with even the lowest that there could be would still hold superior, although still not up to par as himself or herself. His lips as well as his eyes smiled playfully in amusement with both of their aggressive-coated reactions towards his presence, but in responce he delicately licked his lips. "It is assuring to see such a strong...attatchment to this young one." He glanced down at the kit hungrily, adding on in a more firm tone, "You have no need to worry about his safety, for if I wished to harm him, it would have been done by now." For only the briefest moment, the flames in his eyes and on his horns flickered brighter with the very thought of his inner aggression, but he honestly had no desire to harm the young one, just as he had stated. "Ditch me? No worries, I never mentioned such a thing, did I? If you have responcibilities to tend to, it is only proper for you to get them taken care of."
Pandora: With a brief sigh of relief, she felt Apollo squirm his way free, his eyes narrowing when they locked onto Scorch. "I dislike this man." He stated firmly, rubbing his eyes free of tears. He turned to look at his mother, who blinked at him, and sighed in annoyance before flopping to bed, curling tightly against the covers. Pandora fondly watched him, sighing gently, and turned to Scorch. "I don't see why a mother shouldn't care for their children." She paused, smiling just a little. "Good. Perhaps...." She was falling for this, wasn't she? "Would you like something to eat?"
Scorch: If the kit wasn't so special to this female, and if Scorch even had an ounce more of agitation already stored within him, that kit would be under his claws begging for its life right about now for the disrespectful attitude it just showed him. Instead, he let his eyes flicker with fury before he shut them tightly, trying to extinguish their flames. Once he brought himself out of Scorch's way, though, he immediately composed himself and brought his bristling fur flat against his skin once more. He even listened to what the female had to say in addition before he repsonded, flashing a smile as if he had already let his fury go, "Yes, it is a good thing for a responcible parent to care for its child." This was promising news for him, if his plan worked, for even if a possible mate with as much potential as her had poor parenting skills, he would possibly have to reconsider. "To eat? No, I am fine. I had already eaten before I met you." He flicked an ear, unsure of how to continue this conversation onward..
Pandora: With a firm nod, she smiled at the male, brushing her paws off. Exiting Apollo's room, she turned the lights on in the hallway, her form easier to see.... slightly. Turning her head back to Scorch, she offered yet another smile. It seemed currently he was in her favor. "It was a pleasure meeting you." Was she dismissing him? No. She wasn't sure what else to say, and it was fairly late, she was sure he'd have things to attend to at home.
