Kismet stood alone in the middle of a flowery field, one that seemed to travel onwards in one direction until the ends of the earth. The sun was gentle on her back, warming her comfortably and innocently as she lightly grazed on the several delicious grasses that tickled her nostrils daintily. On such a lovely day, nothing could seem better for another horse; surrounded by grasses and flowers and being bordered by such beautiful woodlands, plus having such a feeling where she felt immensely secure, this is all anyone should want. Perhaps this was just Kismet, since she was fully aware of how much she was connected to nature and loved the world for what it was, but it was still her who was feeling this good, feeling this peaceful and safe.

A dainty breeze teased her mane and tail, carrying with it the scents of the woods and grasses around her. This time, however, there was a hint of something new, something unlike the earthy smells that were native to where she currently grazed. She froze, her face and eyes still directed to the earth below her, as she widened her nostrils to absorb the scents of the changing world around her. Who was this? A familiar? Surely this scent carried a hint of fur, but it was thinly. No Skinwalkers, no buffalo, not even a kirin. All of these types of creatures carried their own, individual scents based off of their breeds, some scalier or carrying more dense fur than others. But who could this visitor be? Another observing her, or someone who still did not sense her existence?

It was slow and cautious steps that lead the young filly further away from her family then she'd ever been before. She was supposed to be following the thrill of adventure that her older brother always told her about in his stories, but each step was only causing her slight fear as the unknown overwhelmed her young mind. Though she hadn't gone far from the area her family resided, the woods looked like she was in a different world. Having reached the end, Nana's eyes widened as she approached the wide open field that stretched out beyond the trees. With small tentative steps she sneaked forward sticking her head out of her cover, and glancing around the beautiful area. "Oh wow.." Her small voice breathed out as she focused on a nearby batch of wildflowers before advancing forward, a look of awe on her face. If only Riley could see this!

Mood dropping almost instantly as the thought of her sister came to the front of her mind, Nana paused a few steps in and hooved lightly at the grass that tickled her small legs. Was her sister looking for her, or was she to wrapped up in her fathers attention? Why does he only pay attention to her? "It's not fair." She cried bitterly, her light pawing turning into a upset stomps. Too lost in her own bothered thoughts, she had yet to realize that she wasn't alone. If she had she would have acted differently, perhaps even retreated back home. But the thought of her father's occasional disappointed glances as he tried to teach her and her sister, and with her older brother gone it had gotten even worse. Shaking her bangs out of her eyes she sighed, her bout of anger leaving, and her standing there staring down at a small pile of crushed flowers beneath her hooves.

It's perfectly alright~! I'm sorry I took so long, as well! The holidays were extremely hectic for me, my apologies! D; <3

What was that? Another being was truly nearby? She lifted her chin lightly, her ears examining the light sounds of the pitter-patter of smaller hooves, which was soon followed by the sounds of air flushing and vacuuming in and out of what sounded like a pair of nostrils frustratedly. She lifted up her head even further, twisting her neck to get a glimpse of whatever being was in the direction of the sounds behind her. As her eyes first gazed upon the small foal, she couldn't help but to feel a pang of adoration and confirmation of her senses detecting a smaller sized creature rather than a bigger one. The poor foal looked rather frustrated, with a tang of sadness and fear in her soul? Even without knowing the nature of the foal, Kismet could merely "see" what kind of spirit this little one had within it; conflicted, yet bold, brave, and strong. What potential this little one had! But that was beyond the point at the moment; the foal was in a state of frustration, stomping across the meadow and crushing the delicate lifeforms beneath its hooves. Kismet felt sadness swell up within her chest over the deaths of the plants, but she could not blame the foal for such a thing entirely.

"Child, are you lost?" The words spilled out of her throat, yet they were not her own; they reached out from the depths of her heart to waft past the tips of her lips, trying to grasp at the foal's delicate ears. If she was not mistaken, these were the words of her mentor, but this was still something she would think of saying to the young foal, herself, right? Of course they were! She knew that you had to be gentle with foals to get their attention, which was just as she was doing. Her eyes and ears waited patiently, yet softly, upon the small foal, looking forward to the response she would receive. She truly hoped that she wouldn't scare the child away, and if it really was lost, she would do her best to assist it.

Eyes locked on the crushed flowers beneath her hooves, Nana hadn't moved since she stopped her small tantrum. They'd be fine, right? She asked herself searching her mind for an answer. When she had hurt her knee that time, her brother had told her she'd be fine, that she'd heal. The flowers could do that too. Nodding softly to herself, she remained oblivious of the other horse until she lifted her head to look around and spotted her a short distance away. Instantly freezing as her heart began to pick up, the young foal stared eyes widened in fear. Preparing to back up towards the forest, she paused when the mare questioned her. Was she lost? Unsure, she frowned briefly.

"I'm.. not sure.." Nana responded uneasily, her voice quiet as she backed away a step. She has never been to this place before, but she was sure she could get home if she turned around and went straight, or she hoped. Ears back she stood there, she eyed the mare curiously trying to assess the situations like her father had tried teaching her once. Trying to read her expression, Nana felt slight frustration well up under her fear when all she saw was someone looking down at her. Riley had gotten this easy enough, but all she could see was the obvious. At least she didn't look mad, and she had sounded kind enough. Did she live here? Lowering her head just a bit, she finally dropped her frightened eyes to the mess beneath her and sighed. "They'll be okay.. right?" She murmured softly peeking up at the other, not realizing she might not know what she was referring too, and only assuming.

Not a problem! It happens to the best of us at times! <3

Kismet drew her ears back shyly for a moment when she saw the fear in the little foal's eyes light up at the sight of a stranger, and she felt a pang of guilt churn in her stomach to think of such a possibility. She didn't wish to frighten anyone, let alone this young foal. "I am sorry, little one; I did not mean to frighten you..." she whispered to herself, hardly audible from the distance that separated the two of them. She felt as the little eyes pried at her skin, trying to assess just how dangerous the adult could be. It felt odd to be looked at in such a way from such a young one, but Kismet didn't mind it at all. It was even reassuring to her to see that this young one had a healthy instinct to try and judge a stranger, just as the average healthy mind of a being this age should be. But why was she thinking such a thing? As much as she loved her bonds with the earth and its creatures, but did it truly matter if this foal had such healthy instincts if it was not her own daughter? This was nonsense, for she knew that the reassurance of any healthy creature was a positive thing to see, regardless of who or what they were.

She was happy to hear a question being directed towards her in return, however the words confused her. There was a distant sort of ring to the foal's voice, but could that be simply because of thought? The foal was gazing dreamily down at the crushed flowers below her, but there was something about the sound of her words that led Kismet to believe that she was speaking of something else. Still, she allowed herself to form a response for the plants, for which she, too, had formed in her own mind, "Perhaps, but they most likely will die." She turned her gaze earthward, her eyelids drooping in a sense of grief. It was only a brief feeling, however, for Kismet had the knowledge of the life cycles of the earth, and she couldn't truly blame the young foal for the crushed plants. Her eyes flicked upwards, locking deeply into those of the foal, glinting with warmth and welcome. This was a natural appearance for her, but when she fueled it knowingly with even more with her heart, it was usually an enhanced yet calming feeling for those she was interacting with. "But what is this about not knowing if you are lost or not? Where are your parents, little one? Your family, your herd?" Her words floated around the clearing lathered in honey and freshness, every thought of hers and every syllable that she spoke a genuine interest. This little one didn't appear to have run off on her own or such a thing, but looks could always be deceiving and assumptions should never be made.
