I've been waiting for this one! Pony class warfare, and an explanation as to how the different races get along. 1080pIs it just me, or were the earth ponies the only ones really getting shafted?

They did say that the unicorns rose the sun and moon, and I was led to believe that Luna and Celestia were eternal...were they born? Do they have parents? Are they manifestations of night and day summoned forth by the unicorns? Me thinks an origin story is in order.

At the end of the play, the flag of Equestria had Luna and Celestia circling the world, but they weren't mentioned at all. Were they the gods of the ponies brought to life through faith?

Yeah, see I noticed that too...my guess is that either A: They were mythical gods given mortal form via some magical rite or accident. or B:They are mortal "avatars" born from mortal parrents (ala Jesus). OR (and this is a long shot) They are their own race, an endangered race which lives for a long time (the fact that they DO age implies that they can eventually die) and rarely reproduces. And the ponies depicted were their parrents or another member of their race. OOOOOR (sorry, I keep getting ideas) We know that they have not always been, because one is the "younger" sister, meaning that one came after the other, but perhaps they were alive at the time, and only took over as bringers of the night and day AFTER the founding of Equestira.

Or Celestia, Luna, and Discord were all known by the ponies but they didn't really interact much; the flag was an attempt to appease their wrath. The Tribunal came to MorrowindEquestria to take over, but Discord had a change of heart and Celestia and Luna imprisoned him and drove him insane. And that's how Equestria died. sad
