"I hate it when she makes us close up," Evie complained to the last remaining coworker of the night in the little cafe she spent more time then she'd like to slaving away in.
For the most part she was ignored and she didn't care, she just liked to voice her hatred, and she was used to talking to herself on nights like this anyway. They were closed, but there was still her, sweeping and giving everything one last once over, and a baker who was shutting down equipment and refilling the display case near the front.
"Hey, can you take the garbage out to the alley?" She asked, only to get a funny look from the other girl. It was a sketchy neighborhood at night, but Evie always figured it would be silly for anyone to pay attention to such a little place. So much so that she regularly walked home from here.
It took some convincing, but eventually the baker chick was headed out to the alley and Evie was happily finishing up inside... until an 'off' sound from outside filled her with a suspicious, niggling feeling that something wasn't right, and she found herself paranoid enough to henshin up into Sailor Eunomia before heading out to check it out.

Magnetite had just been taking a short cut through the alley when a worker from the cafe in the building he was behind literally ran into him.
He staggered back but managed to keep his balance. She went right down. He stared at her for a moment, wrathful, until she started sputtering apologies, and Magnetite saw this for what it was.
An opportunity. Prey had just fallen right into his lap, almost literally. He shook his head.
"Oh no, it’s all right."
He reached out a hand to help her up.
"Here, let me help-"
That’s when he felt the Order aura power up nearby, and yanked his hand away, leaving her looking bewildered on the ground. There was a Senshi nearby. He summoned his weapon into his hand, looking around paranoid. It looked like he was going to have a fight tonight...

As soon as Eunomia henshined and moved a bit closer she got the distinct sense of Chaos. Sort of. It was dark, like a youma but stronger. Different. She pulled out her cellphone to message one of her teammates but nearly dropped it when she saw the negaverser through the ajar door, she nearly dropped it.
Negaverser, in person, right here. That was uncharted territory for the new senshi, but she certainly wasn't going to let him victimize her coworker right in front of her.
"Hey, back off," She snarled, kicking the door all the way open and balling her gloved hands into fists.
That weapon didn't go unnoticed, though, and it definitely made her incredibly nervous. Maybe she should've sent out a message for help and then make her grand entrance. Oops.

There she was. A senshi... thought she really didn’t look like much. Even with this stupid dinky little weapon he thought he might be able to take the girl.
"Or what? You’ll call your boyfriend to come beat me up? Let me guess, he’s a football player to boot."
The twenty nine year old Negaverse agent looked at the young girl with amusement.
"Here’s what I'll do for you. I was just going to take this girls energy and leave her safe and sound, passed out in this alley. You go home and write a sad entry in your diary, and I might just forget you interrupted me at all."
"However, if you keep talking in my face like that, I'll kill you. And then I'll steal your little friend here's energy and when she passes out, I'll kill her too. Because you're ticking me off, and when people piss me off, I kill them and everyone they care about. Got it?"
Magnetite didn't know if this sort of thing usually worked on Senshi, but it was worth a try.
"You don’t want to die before the prom, right kid?"

Eunomia had several things she wanted to correct him on and none of them were important.
But. It. Was. So. Hard.
She had to mentally repeat to herself that it absolutely did not matter to tell him she was a pre-law undergrad, that boys weren't her type, that diaries were silly. She wasn't here to make conversation, she was here to make sure no one died.
"Prom is spring, dipshit," She announced like an epic one liner in an action movie. Except that had nothing to do with anything. But he had threatened to kill the civilian and that did not stand, so immediately after she said that, rather than dwell on how silly that had been, she charged at him.
Like Iris had pointed out before, she obviously didn't have very much fighting experience. But she was six feet tall, and all she was really hoping to accomplish was to distract him enough that the baker could get a running start on getting the hell out of there. Knocking him off kilter with such bold move would've been bonus points, but he had a weapon, and she had her fists. She wasn't expecting much.

Garethon fell into a fencing stance with his plastic sword.
Well that didn't work. Now he was fighting her, after that pointless one liner.
For a moment Garethon was concerned. She was charging him, and that wasn’t particularly good tactic. So she must be either a martial artist of some kind and if that was the case his plastic sword wouldn’t be of much use, or she had some sort of power that required her to touch him. Either way, he should have dodged... but he had a plan, and it didn't involve showing weakness in the first move of the fight.
So instead he quickly swung the plastic sword at the only place he thought it would be effective, her face. He wasn't really trying to hurt her so much as blind her for a moment, and if he did he was going to drop his shoulder and slam it into her stomach using her moment against her.

It definitely succeeded in blinding her. If Eunomia had a weakness it was dodging. She just plain didn't. But she did have her size and the ability to take a hit or two. She went down, but as she did she kicked at his legs to bring him down with her.
The screams of her coworker weren't exactly comforting. But the girl was also making a break for it which was kind of the intended purpose, right?
Eunomia tried to get back to her feet and back up some, trying to muster up the concentration to use her power. She didn't want to be battling without back up, especially with her first negaverser encounter, and the longer this fight was going on, the more uneasy she felt.
"Dude what are you even doing? Suffering a bad midlife crisis?" He had threatened to kill her and her friend, and she was sure it took a twisted person to take to the streets in costume to even think about doing that.

Magnetite knew how to dodge. He really did. But sometimes, it’s not a lack of fighting prowess the leads a trained fighter down. For Magnetite this time, it was pride.
He had watched the girl take his hit and he just assumed that she wouldn't retaliate. Had he thought to watch her he might have avoided the foot sweep.
Fist fights just weren’t his thing.
He hit the ground hard, rolling away from the girl into a kneeling position.
"Really? That’s your insult? And what am I doing? You honestly didn't know Negaverse agents take energy?"
He rolled his eyes.
"Just hurry up and start running so I can get this over with."
He cast a look down the alley where his prey was escaping, not wanting to lose the mark but knowing he couldn't just chase her while this girl was attacking him. He pushed himself back to his feet. He really didn't know if he wanted to keep fighting this girl if there was no energy to be had, Painite had said she wanted a star seed but Magnetite didn’t think he’d be able to get this girls, she was likely to just keep fighting him until his prey was gone and then run.
