Candice was walking down the street looking down at her cellphone. Be there no mistake, she wasn't waiting for the call from Eric, but hey, eventually he did call and she had the information for where to go saved on her phone. Was she excited? Maybe a little. She did cook food at home, but it wasn't very often that she got a home cooked meal from someone else. Plus, she was getting back the tie that reminded her of the time at the Surrounding. Not good, per-se, but still memories.
She check the address on the phone again, and then looked up to the building that she just approached. It looked like a quaint place to live, which seemed to suit what she thought of Eric's personality: quaint! Candice held up her phone and looked at the previous received calls and looked for Eric's name. "Hm... Call now... Or later?"
Holding up her hand, she looked at the cream gloves she was wearing. The knit cap on her head was to match. Her dress was knee length, cream colored with different shades of brown as an accent color. Her boots were also dark brown, keeping her legs warm. Around her arms wrapped a shawl that was her main source of heat. For some reason, Candice had felt like dressing a little bit better today, and well, she felt nervous.
Eventually, she puckered up the courage to press the 'call' button and put the phone to her ear. After a few rings, she heard Eric's voice and she talked. "Hey Eric! I'm downstairs. Hungry, cold, and wanting that tie!"

On the other end of the line, Eric sounded excited too.
"Right, be right down luv."
It was only a few moments before he opened the door. He was wearing his nice set of clothes, the one shed seen before, but it was cleaner and tucked in. He was also wearing her tie.
"Welcome to my humble abode. Come on in."
He motioned for her to come inside and up the stairs.
"My rooms 601, it’s on the third floor. It’s just a two room apartment I share with my mate Steve, but he won’t be here tonight so we have it all to ourselves."
He smiled again.

Once she saw Eric, she jumped up and gave him a hug. Candice then stood back again and looked at him once over, noticing the tie that was... supposed to be hers! Normally, she wasn't very possessive of things, but he had agreed that it would be hers and she was kind of upset.
There was clearly a pout on her face and confusion in her eyes. She lifted up her hand and pointed at the tie. "I... I thought that's what I came to get today?" After she said her question, she walked past him kind of down. and started up the stairs.
As she took each step up the stairs, she kept wondering. "Did he never mean to give it back... Was it just to get me to his apartment?" Candice wasn't scared at all, but she just felt kind of lied to... At least, for now.

Eric chuckled.
"Oh it is, but I only realized as I was getting dressed that it’s the nicest tie I have. So heres what I figured. Id wear it down here to greet you, make my first impression..."
He loosened the tie, undoing the knot and sliding it off his neck, pulling another, not as nice tie out of his pocket.
"And then change into this tie so I could give this one back to you. Best of both worlds, eh? Just pretend I borrowed it to meet a lass and I said I’d give it back next time I saw you. Cept that the lass is you, and this is the next time I saw you."
He held out the tie.
“So here you are, lass. Thanks for letting me borrow it.”
He winked at her.

Candice giggled a little bit. She was the type of person that liked to dress nice, but she didn't really pay attention to what others were wearing. At least, as long as they were not butt-naked. When Eric handed her the tie, she snugged it slightly and then tucked it into her jacket. It wasn't clear if Eric could see her happiness, but it was definitely there.
As she continued to walk up the stairs, she smiled at him. "I don't really care what you wear, as long as you're not butt-naked. That's the only time I'd notice what you're wearing..." She stopped walking a little bit. "Not that you don't look dashing at the moment." Candice winked at him.
"I really hope dinner is yummy as that curry," she told Eric as she continued up the stairs. "I'm looking forward to another yummy meal!"

Eric blushed when she mentioned him being 'butt naked'. That wasn't a tactic he’d considered, and he was glad he hadn't. That would have been embarrassing.
"Well, it’s nothing too special"
He tried to sound nonchalant as he walked up to the door of his apartment, opening it.
"Just a little something I whipped up."
Eric had originally intended to make a chicken parmesan dish, alongside mash potatoes, baked macaroni and cheese, string beans and freshly baked bread.
He had managed grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, Kraft macaroni and cheese and a French baguette from the corner store. He had actually forgotten about the string beans until right before he opened the door. Oh well.
They were impressively displayed, however. There were two glasses at each seat in front of the set ups, and on the counter nearby there were two liter bottles of coke and dr pepper, as well as a bottle of wine.
A curtain had been set up to screen this room from the disaster that was the rest of the small apartment.
"Come on in."

Candice peeked into the apartment as soon as Eric had opened the door. She could see table setting and it was so pretty! That was one thing Candice wasn't used to since, well, most of the people that had asked her out she never really became friends with first. "I don't know what you're saying," she told Eric as she sniffed the room. "Despite the smell of a 'man-cave', the food smells delicious!"
Once she was inside, she ran her fingers along the things placed on the table and looked around. Candice was ready for dinner, but her curiosity led her to the curtain. She looked over at Eric and pointed. "What's behind this?" She tugged at it a little bit and thought that it would fall if she tugged any harder. "Is it some secret or can I look behind it?"
She started grinning at Eric. Knowing most people, it was probably the mess that he was hiding from her. Of course, Candice didn't really mind, but it was Eric's apartment.
