Kail was back. At the library that was, with another of his tape-swathed boxes. This must have been the third time in a few days at the least. (Actually it was five, but who was counting?) He was becoming intimately familiar with the pavement outside, and the bus to get there. Shaking a few snowflakes from his hair (he should have put his hood up, but he was quite warm despite the snow, carrying heavy boxes would do that to you), he smiled amiably at the collection point, which was looking rather full. Padding over, he hefted the box with a meaty oof. Ow. Maybe he'd pack a little less into the next box. His arms were beginning to ache. Rubbing his arms thoughtfully, he swiveled his backpack round to the side and dug in it for his library pass and the books he had to return.
Multi-purpose the library was. Kail grinned under his breath. Cas's infection for space fantasies was rubbing off on him a little, and he'd got a stack of star wards books out. Whilst they weren't entirely to his taste, he did like the gratuitous amount of technological wish-fufilment they provided, and Yoda was kind of funny. Stepping up the counter, Kail was pleased enough to be humming a cheery christmas tune under his breath.
He couldn't see anyone about, so he tapped the bell gently. Hopefully someone would arrive soon?

Another day, another donation. There were a great many difference between this drop off and the last. The two biggest were Micah apperence -- for she had gone home to change out of her dumpster clothing and take a shower -- and her mood -- she had driven once she got home, so the bag had not had the chance to hurt her back. The coold, however, still bit at her the moment she got out of the car and made her face bitterly red by the time she got into the library. She shivered fiercly in the warmth, again savoring it's comfort. She thanked a good many dieties that Anthony kept this place so warm. She huffed after the small prayer, willing the blood and feeling back to her fingers as she flexed them.
Kail caught her eye then. Well, his bublegum pink hair caught her attention then. Not that Micah really had room to be talking about absurd hair. She fingered one of the wild ringlets that bounced into her eyes, a small smile playing on her lips. This would be one hell of a pain to sort out later, but for now, Micah rather liked her rat's nest.
She could talk to the pink boy later, for now Micah had work to do. She hummed lightly to herself -- christmas carols, actually, for the first time this whole season -- as she emptied her sack of technically stolen goods. Food in one box and clothing in another. She flung the bag over her shoulder once satisfied with her work and skipped over to Kail, leaning on the desk beside him.
"What's cookin' good lookin'," she chirped, grinning widely at Kail. "Don't bother with the bell. What a flimsy, annoying sound. Never had a taste for anything quieter than me." She pushed the little thing away and bounced up, balancing her wasitline on the edge of the counter and lifting her feet off the floor. "Anthony! Anthony, I'm back and someone else is here too!" And with that she corrected herself, hopping back onto the floor with a flourish and a wide grin. "He'll be out in a second."

There was a loud crash from somewhere in the back room behind the counter, followed by a voice that had to cut himself off before he cursed. He made a strange sound instead, then emerged from the room. He was limping, and not because of his bad leg, which he had to use a cane for anyway. No, he had dropped quite a lot of large books onto his foot.
And it hurt.
Badly.
He hadn't heard the bell but he smiled when he saw the two at the counter, recognizing both from previous donations to the library's box for the drive. They both seemed very eager to help with the holidays, though he knew that there were ulterior motives in play, as well. It didn't matter to him, in the end, as it was the people in need that benefited.
"Hello, you two. I didn't know you knew each other," he said, smiling despite the wince on his face as he came to a stop at the counter.

Kail's face HAD been red from the cold. Now it was red from random-perosn-he-didn't know being overly familiar. He nodded meekly, too stunned to have his usual nervous response. She was....loud! VERY loud! loud and friendly and...you know what, that was kind of nice. He smiled back at her, and extended the same smile to Tony - until he saw he was limping, when his face dropped like lightning.
"Are you okay? And uhm. We don't know each other but I think this person-who-I-don't-know is personable and I'm sorry your hurt and um I brought you another box but I also need to return these books you helped me find the other day and um- yes."
After this veritable tirade of words Kail nodded his head fiercely, and slid ever-so-slightly to the side and away from the crazy ladygirl with curls like...well they were very curly anyway.

Micah winced harshly when the sound of something falling dispruted the silence almost as abruptly as she had a moment before. If Micah wasn't so worried about over stepping boundaries, as she was often did when her temper hadn't clouded her judgment, Micah would have dashed around the corner to make sure Tony's limp wasn't anything too serious. But, because of her concern, Micah opten to leaning hard on the counter again.
"Oh dear, oh goodness, I'm sorry! I didn't meant to hurt you." Micah blushed deeply when Tony limped out. "I just got... a little over excited." She smield weakly and pushed herself back up onto the counter, balancing precariously on it's edge. "Are you terribly hurt? Should we call a doctor? I know CPR." Granted, the latter wasn't of much use here, but Micah would be damned if she wasn't going to try her hardest to keep someone alive.
Could you die from a foot injury?
Micah supposed one could, if the marrow of the bone escaped and moved to clog a major artery.
It occured then to Micah that she hadn't actually introduced herself to the other boy. "Oh dear, where are my manners. I think tony can atest to the fact that they sometimes like to hide." She winked at the older man, blushing lightly at the memory of thier first meeting. "Sorry, I'm Micah. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Oh, no, no, it's fine!" Tony laughed, as he leaned on the counter. "I limp a lot, my leg is generally messed up. My foot doesn't hurt too bad, just a book. Believe me, that happens all the time."
He chuckled, then looked at Micah, who he still felt he needed to make things up to, and Kail. At least they were young people still interested in helping people. Like that young boy, whose name he hadn't gotten. Or had he? He would remember it when he saw him again, as he often did with his patrons. He hoped.
Things were as stressful as they were cheerful, this time of year.
"I think I'll survive, without CPR, but I appreciate the offer," he smiled handsomely, brushing off the event with a casual grace that he would lose in a matter of moments if he wasn't careful. Confidence was fleeting.
"So, you two, are you both here to donate? I heard you have one, Kail, and thank you for that! It's really impressive, how much you two are giving." He nodded his head.
