Calder shivered in the cold weather, eyes clothes since they left the theater, until he smelled water. Lots of water. He cracked his eyes open to look around. "...what's that?" He asked, looking at the falling white. It smelled nice and made his head feel a tad foggier than before.
He nuzzled into Christof's hump. Carrying him, Calder took notice of just how strong the Igor was.

"Snow," Barth said, "It's usually not...I mean, not in this region, but in the North there-" he yawned sleepily, still leaning on Christof in spite of not feeling any warmer from it.
"-are ice elemental demons, that sort of thing. Near the end, the Rat, did you notice? Its eyes were the same color as..." his voice lowered, "our late gym teacher's. Wish the bogeyman had stuck around an extra few days."

"Hrnn..." Christof's arms were too full of Kelpie to sign back, but his expression said it all as he scanned the whitening hillside. Something definitely *strange*... or at least stranger than usual was going on, and he was fairly certain he didn't like it.
Christmas brought back memories of horrible drunken trees and being dismembered. Not all that pleasant.

"Snoww..." He hummed the word, proceeding to nuzzle against Christof's neck. "Like on the train.." He had been on that field trip, but it was fuzzy to him. Something about the white stuff hadn't worked well with his fragile, first year mind, and he had gotten lost in the woods, missing everything. Snow like now.
At least this time he wasn't alone. He had Barth, his handsome boilfriend, and very strong Igor carrying him. He could feel the undead's muscles move as he walked, and Calder watched before he gave a loopy grin.
His tail flicked behind him.
"Have you gotten stronger, Christof?" He asked, blowing on the back of the boil's neck playfully.

"Yes, and native to Christmas, too. Probably their kind of snow."
He thought Calder's question was a little odd, considering that- well. They'd both been there for the upgrades.
"It looked- infected, almost. But what infected it, why? Do...do you think we...could end up-?"

Christof concentrated on Barth's train of thought, trying to surmise possibilities... was Christmas having its revenge after last year's escapades? Something more nepharious? Who knew? He stumbled at Calder's question, brows rising as he gave a nervous, noncommittal grunt in response. What... exactly was wrong with the kelpie? Poisoned maybe? Maybe they should seek out Malodore or Nurse Cricket...

The grunt was enough, and Calder's hands, holding around the Igor's neck but not enough to strangle, were adjusted in order for the kelpie to have one hand free. He brushed some of the boil's long hair aside, and then ran his hand back, finding the lump that the boil knew held the wing. He made small circles around it, feeling it move underneath.
"We'll be fine if we stick together." He leaned in, whispering in the Igor's ear. "Very closely."

"That's err- optimistic," Barth said. He was tired and on edge. They'd seen armies spring from the theater, and while he knew the Rat was in there, they had no way of knowing what was...out here.
He looked back.
"I did want to check on the Doom Buggy. Make sure it hasn't been tampered with or...was in any sort of trouble. I thought the crypt might be closed off enough to safely stitch Calder up."

A shiver went up and over and down Christof's hunched back with every gentle caress around his sensitive wing-area, his face going red. RIGHT. RIGHT. THE CRYPT. FINE. PERFECT. Anywhere to unload the kelpie before any more bad-touching happened. He picked up his pace as much as he could, his legs trembling under teh weight but MIND OVER MATTER he just... had to... keep going...

Calder paid no mind to the Igor, who continued to make noises, and peering around, he gaze a peculiar grin when he saw the dicoloration on his cheeks. Returning to the task, he started to pluck the stitching of the Igor's shirt. With all the self-tailoring the Igor had to do on his own clothing, it wasn't hard to find a patch around the wing, and with a maicured nail, Calder entertained himself with popping stitch by stitch in order to free the wing. "I know a river near by. I'm sure it will be safe there." He popped another stitch. "I'll keep you both safe there." A few more stitches. "Very close by." Another stitch. "Just the three of us." A few more stitches.

"In this weather? It'll probably be frozen over," Barth said. The last thing he wanted was to be wet and cold.

Christof gave a whine, and a very pointed look to Barth that said "Help... Please...!"

"Oh nnooo. I'll keep you both nice and warm. The creatures won't think of hurting you there." He popped the patch to the boil's shirt, exposing the wing. It seemed that, by Christof's reaction, it was a rather sensitive part. That or embarrassing. Either way, it could be key to getting the Igor to leading them to the river. He reached out to pet it. "How about it, Christof? A small detour."

Barth took it to mean Christof didn't want to go to the river either.
"No detours," he said flatly.

He couldn't handle it anymore, suddenly letting go to let Calder hold on himself, signing frantically as best he could with his free hands, "Master-must-move-faster-Calder-keeps-touching-me-bad." The little wing thrashed as though trying to get away from the boil's tender hands.
