Riley had led Malodore and Jericho outside, pleasantly nestled between them as she had been prone to do lately. She let them go once they were outside, stepping ahead to take a good look around. Her tentacles had already closed up to keep from smelling peppermint in the air, but that was the least of her worries.
Visions of sugarplums danced in her field of vision.
Ahhh. She sighed out, turning around to look at the two. It's.. odd. All of this is highly disturbing, but I am not unhappy. It is almost as if these terrible holiday abominations have an odd sentiment attached to them. She let out a soft snort, and pointed in one particular direction. I bet we can find an elf for you if we search there, Malodore.

Jericho froze in place as he stepped outside, partially from feeling the blast of sudden cold and partially from the sight of it all.
"What's this? WHAT'S THIS. There's white things in the air. WHY is there snow in Amity?" Jericho snarled unhappily at the foul cold substance. It wasn't supposed to snow here. It must have been because of the damn JOY creatures.
With a huff, he looked over at Riley and Malodore.
"If they really are invading then yeah it shouldn't be hard to find one. Those elves were all over that jacking town. There's bound to be some here as a part of this invasion."
Though, he had to agree. There was something strange about all of this. A hint of nostalgia and sentiment. And to add on to that, he stepped away from the other two before removing his pin. After a few moments, he stood in full dragon form.
"While you were doing well in a fight, it would be best if you didn't have to walk around too much on your own. It'd be better if you conserved your strength for battle rather than from moving about through the snow, Riley."

 Heavy, thudding beats would be the first warning that something was amiss. "Pirouette! Pirouette! Pirouette!" Garishly clad in a glittery pink tutu and matching shoes, the blue-eyed bombshell approached the trio. A whirling dervish of ribbon and flounce, the diva paused when she noticed she wasn't alone. "THIS MUSIC IS HORRIBLE. AND IT IS OBVIOUSLY YOUR FAULT. HOW CAN I DANCE TO THIS?! I AM AN ARTIST!!" Dangerous Diva Attack roll: 2 d6 Damage: 0 HP: 12/12

Malodore took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of peppermint and evergreen and the cold, sharp snap of snow. "Ahh... it really is somehow nostalgic, is it not? And now I have all my supplies near at hand. This is a splendid research opportunity-" Oh. Look at that. A research opportunity in a tutu approacheth. "It's as if she knew I was coming," it said, with a happy sigh. "Jericho? I believe the first test should be if they burn or not. Would you do the honors?"

Riley was looking up at her dragon, and a wave of nostalgia hit her once more. She reached up and patted the dragon, barely missing what Malodore was saying about letting their new friend burn. What she did not miss, however, was the grotesque pink monster that presented itself in front of them. Riley moved away to bent slightly, groaning at the movement - bending was not comfortable. She tilted her head down and gave the ballerina a cautious, and clinical look.
I do not recall any little pink horror last year. This is especially grotesque. It reminds me a little bit of Lizzy's hair, the poor thing. Very chatty, too. I wonder what it is made of.
Her tentacles slid out from behind her menacingly like snakes, rearing back to strike.
Let us find out.
The ballerina was skewered in multiple spots.

Just as he was about to lower himself so that Riley could get on, a pink dancer of sort caught his attention. Oh great. One of them had decided to approach, but as Riley said, it wasn't a creature he recalled seeing. "A little flame test would be good right about now. It wasn't exactly something I could do last year, was it?" he agreed before unleashing some flames at the ballerina. Maybe that'd get her to pipe up too about the music and dancing. pinchmonster The diva exploded into a huge cloud of glitter as she dissipated, though the shriek she left behind echoed eerily for a few moments after she was gone. "Not in the faaaaaaaaceeeee!!!" AND THEN SHE REAPPEARED ONLY TO ROLL IN THE NEXT POST BECAUSE MATH IS HARRRRD. With an angry screech, the diva furiously did a few spins. "TAKE THAT!" Oh look, charred ballerina. I've always wondered what it would be like to eat something made of Joy. Should I find out?

Riley stood up straight, very slowly, and looked just a little disappointed. With all of these things reminding me of our time in Christmastown.. that was just a little bit of a letdown. It did not even touch us. Now, where were we-ah.
She reached up to try and pull herself onto Jericho, but the tug of her body in that position frightened her. I may need more help getting up there than I usually do.. She murmured regrettably.

"... Ah."
Malodore gave Riley a highly skeptical look. "You... are quite vigorous today, mia cara. Are you sure you're all right?" It tried to help her up as best it could, though its strength was small and Riley's wings, in particular, had added to her weight substantially from the last time it had lifted her.

Snapping out of his baffled state, Jericho lowered himself as far as he could to try and make things easier for Riley. There wasn't much else he could do to help her own, but hopefully Malodore could fix that.
"Yeah, I know what you mean. But.. we are stronger now than we were last year."

"HERT," yelled a rather flustered and agitated elf. "Hert, where the jack-in-the-box are you?!" He spotted the trio of Halloweeners and scowled, marching right up to them with a certain bravado apparently only the short could have against such tall (and outnumbered) odds.
