Quest Giver: Dark Brotherhood
Location(s): Cheydinhal Sanctuary and Fort Alessia
Information: A marauder leader, Maurice LeChante, has been terrorizing a nearby village, hassling them for every gold they have earned. A nameless man who lives within that village has preformed the Dark Sacrament on his life. lnstead of taking this as a regular hit, the higher ups of the Dark Brotherhood have decided to make a little game out of this assignment, picking four competitors to go after him in a free-for-all competition. A band of Four Assassin's is set out to assassinate one individual. Though they are contesting against one another to see who can do it the quickest, a test of skill. Going against one another they will have to be elusive and manipulative to get the quest done.
Expected Resistance: A few bandits on the way or wildlife to the fort itself, and about twenty-four bandits and four dogs inside. The Marauder Captain is on the lowest level locked in a room, guarded by three men at any one time with a rotating guard every five hours and Maurice has one personal guard with him in his room.
Goal(s): Kill Maurice LeChante, the Marauder leader first. Rules are set so you're not able to harm your fellow assassins.
Treasure Type & Amount: 150 Gold to each Participant and an addition 100 to the one who kills him first and brings his signet ring back as proof. There is also treasure able to be looted from his guards and magical items stored in a chest within the fort, the winner gets first pick.

2: You may not at anytime take or steal any of the member's items.
3: You are not permitted in reveal another member's identity to anyone.

Coraline sat on the bunk that was designated hers. The room was quite and she felt alone although knew to be more wise about that. Being in a guild filled with cutthroats usually meant you were being watched some how. There was that ominous feeling that there were eyes just behind her, watching her every movement but when she'd spin around erratically there was nothing behind her but air and the wall. The place was kind of cold and smelled like old linens and secrets. She was wearing her guild armor, though took it upon herself to decorate it according to her own fashion. lt hardly resembled the furnished leathers the rest of the people she walked. Her's was able to be walked around in without suspicion from wandering eyes. lt gave her a little bit of an advantage, but, lacked the respect one would give the guild by wearing the original armor.

She glanced around the room once, then twice, trying to see if the shadows moved. She counted them, and everything seemed to cast only one. Coraline still felt uneasy whenever she was in this place. It felt as if she were out of place. Either her age was the issue or the fact that she really didn't consider herself a murderer for hire. In a way, with the Mage's Guild she was one, though it was different circumstances. She wasn't just killing someone for gold but rather she was ridding the world of evil. Though evil is just a point of view. To them she was probably evil. So really that point is just invalid if you really think about it like that. Which she didn't.

She looked back down at the letter she was given. lt only said to meet the Executioner tonight. She had a gut feeling this was going to be her first official contract. Her mind started to think of the poor sap who was going to be eliminated and what he had done to deserve such a fate. Probably had a gambling problem and his coin purse had run dry and when the debt collectors came he was missing. Or he was a jealous husband who caught his wife cheating with their neighbor and wants the man dead. He could just be a she who was just living in a poorly kempt house. The possibilities were endless. Then she noticed she really didn't care for the person. People die everyday, so why should she worry about just one soul?

She caught her breath after a stale wind came through one of the cracks in the stone base. The scent of tree roots and dirt richly engrossed the passing breeze. Putting the letter to the side of her lap she picked up the Five Tenants. The pages were old and thick. They made a crinkling sound whenever she would turn a page. The ink was fading in spots and had a few smudges in a few places. A few drops of blood leaked through some of the pages and handwritten names on the back of the past page. She thought of them as previous owners but when she got to the bottom of the list she remembers reading about one of the names and he was assassinated. Her thoughts went from previous owners to past targets. She thought of it as a fun way to keep track of them, but wouldn't keep them in such a open place. She had her own journal which she would keep them in. Whomever this fool she was going to be sent to kill will be at the top of the list, the first name of many. As she closed the tome, dust filtered into the air around her causing her to cough once and rub her eyes.

She thought of the time as good as any to go see what the Executioner wanted with her. She held the letter in her hand all neatly folded up and carried on to the main hall, just outside the living quarters. There was already somebody who looked impatient staring at her. ''
You are Coraline, correct?'' the lady asked. ''Uhm... yes ma'am.'' Coraline replied hesitantly. ''Good, now we just wait for the other two and l'll tell you three your goal. l'd say have patience but mine has run out. lt seemed to take you forever to get here. What had taken you?''

Coraline didn't answer right away and when she was about to give an excuse she was cut off by the Lady. ''
Ah, here comes the another one now!'' the lady seemed excited and as if all of her patience had run out just waiting for the young altmer. Though she just said her response afterwards. ''Was busy. Sorry.'' Though her words didn't seem to register with the executioner.

((ooc: Sorry took forever. l also made a comment about my lack of post in the actual post.))

Ilumus, still paranoid as usual wakes up from sleeping under his bed. He remains quiet as he carefully checks to makesure no one else is in the sleeping quarters as well. He spots Coraline and quickly hides beneath the bed, even if she were just a child he didn't wish for others to know of his sleeping spots. he waited as carefully and quietly as he could until he saw her feet touch the ground then make their way out of the room. He waited a few seconds after before the cwaled out from underneath his bed and got ready for the day.

He opened up his chest counting every ring he had and panic stuck him as there was one missing. He quickly searched through the chest for the one until he heard the sound of metal hitting the ground. He stopped pushing things around and look down on the ground to see the missing ring which he grabbed and placed in the chest. He pulled out his bow, which served him for many years and yelped him through many missions. It made him sad to see that his favorite bow was getting old and would soon need to be replaced, but there was little time for him to dwell on that. He grabbed a quiver of arrows, then sat there looking at a set of wedding rings on a necklace for a few seconds. Quickly coming back to his senses he puts the necklace away, closes the chest then leaves and made his way over to the executioner.

He was displeased to see that the executioner was a Breton, one of the three races that had attacked his village. Even though he himself is a Breton, he does nt see himself as one and makes sure every one knows not to call him one. Her excitement at seeing him was quite confusing, knowing his past mistakes during missions, he's gotten used to all the disappointed looks he's received. Seeing Caroline there made him feel a little confused. Was he meant to teach Caroline how to kill a contract for her first one, or is he there to babysit her. "I don't believe we met before." he said to Caroline, then hesitantly holds out his hand, "my name is Ilumus Archine... but you can call me wolf."

It was his first attempt to actually introduce himself to someone in his life. He normally waited for others to either introduce themselves or be introduced to him and sometimes for him to be introduced to them. The simple act of him introducing himself and holding out his hand is enough to catch the attention of the older guild members who've come to know him as best as he'd allow.
