Suddenly the theatre went dark, and the scent of peppermint filled the room. It was silent for only a moment, and then music begins to play. A single light hits the stage, and towering above the remaining actors is a giant...rat...in a crown? It performs a graceful bow to the students and raises its sword. Swarms of wooden soldiers, ballerinas, toys, cookies, snowmen, and Christmas decorations swarm out from behind it racing out the theatre to attack the campus. The Rat King lowers its sword to point down at the students below, is a challenge being issued?
Outside the theatre, brightly glittering snow is falling, a barrier has gone up, Christmas creatures are attacking the school, mayhem ensues, and the smell of peppermint continues to linger in the air.

General Rules & Infos
Enrolled students only
IF YOUR STUDENT IS AT THE SCHOOL PLAY, THEY MAY NOT BE AT THE MAUL. THESE TWO AREAS ARE RUNNING IN TANDEM. THE MAUL IS NOW LOCKED DOWN. THEY CAN NO LONGER SWITCH AREAS.
Natural abilities are usable, natural forms are as usually (locked down in certain areas)
You may create branch-off PRPs and ORPs within the event forum. Be sure to label the location in the title, as in [School PRP]
Characters can only be in one RP thread at any given time, for everyone's sanity.
Entering from/Exiting posts are an excellent way for you and others to keep track of a character's movement
Bolding the names of other characters you're interacting with and quote-notifying other players will help keep your character from getting overlooked

Before he could receive an answer from Riley, the area suddenly went dark. Music similar to what Roch and his group had been playing started up... only it sounded different. The next thing Jericho knew was that there were creatures on the stage that definitely were not the actors... even if they resembled the characters they portrayed. What the hell just happened? And who the hell was that giant rat king? It wasn't Sammy. "VOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!" he shouted while standing up. It was then that he noticed the strong scent of peppermint in the air. And.. was that a snowman? "Just who the hell do you think you are!"As far as he was concerned, the giant rat and his buddies were trying to wreck the show... even though it had ended already. It hadn't yet occurred to him that these were from Christmastown.

Sammy was late, she missed her bows strutting around backstage and Hel had gone out without her. It broke her unbeating heart that her stabbing companion had left her alone in the back. Suddenly a rat in a shabby crown was up on stage.
She didn't miss a beat.
She grabbed a prop sword and her cloak, running towards the stage, she came bursting out from the cloth separating the back from the front.
"HEY JACK-a**."
She shouted as her booths thuded hard against the floor sword drawn and pointed at the rat among the JOY filled minions swarming about.
"I'M THE JACK DAMN RAT KING TODAY YOU a**!"
She winked to the folks in the crowd adding in another bit.
"Don't worry folks; I'm O-Kay!" The hole through her shirt was sealed up good as new and the ghoul looked more then ready to kick the a** of a random attacker.
She also turned to Jericho, "HE'S STEALING MY ROLE PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE!"

Bul had apluaded for the actors by the end of the play but suddenly-
Whatever popcorn that was in Bul's mouth at the time was now all over the back of the seat in front of him. He'd spat it out and nearly choked on a kernel when the lights went out; his shades not making it any better. Still he chose to keep them on and stood up beside Mei and Tybalt.
....
He paused and started to groan. "WHAT IS THIS WRETCHED
NOISE THAT IS
HAPPENING??!" he cried in melodramatic pain and shifted his shades a little. "Mei. What.... is going on??? D8 WHAT IS THIS HORRIBLE SOUND?"

Calder had been lucky that he only got nauseous during the shouting of the play, and resumed watching the play till it's end. He had been feeling a tad drowsy near the end, but when it was finally done and over, he felt ready to wake his boilfriend up and walk back to his dorm for a nap. A good walk over would get all the knots out of his neck. It was then that the lights went out, and he felt that this was another part of the play.
But it was a yelling dragon and a very realistic Rat King that came on the stage that confused him. Was this all part of the play and what -
Calder covered his nose quickly, feeling sick. That...SMELL! It was revolting and burned his nose and eyes. Ugh.
"Barth. Barth, wake up!" He shouted, shaking the boil on his lap with his free hand as the other covered his nose. "I'm getting sick. We need to go." Whatever magical ending to the play, which seemed to be the Rat King's return, was not going to be watched. He needed fresh air.

Riley watched the room erupt in mayhem, and settled back in her seat even as her best friend jumped up to scream. Ahh, She murmured quietly. Now this is more like it. I was wondering when something was going to erupt into chaos.
Perhaps it was the exhaustion of her condition, but she was fine with sitting in her seat and watching the nonsense unfold, for now.
All part of the show.

Status: Stepping on commoners...it missed. You guys can totally attack again after the boss attacks, but keep the damage total rolling, do not reset as it is not really a new round.

Alwine held the rat hat in her hands and noticed that, well... it really was made out of a rat. And then a giant, matching rat showed up and peppermint wafted in the air. Wait, peppermint--! Sitting in the snow, fighting frisky trees, skeletal reigndeer, trains, and that ninja and-- Peppermint Points!"Peppermint Points?!" Alwine stood up in her seat and pointed to the Rat King, her finger shaking. "You're from Christmas, aren't you?" Then she was promptly barreled over by a couple of toy soldiers and had to stand back up again to regain her dignity and somewhat epic pose. It wasn't as effective the second time around.

Okay. Not cool.
The rat king stomped about but thankfully no students where hit. She glanced out towards the auidence again, Jericho was yelling of course, Riley was; well she still had a hole in her stomach she could sit. Barth was asleep and Calder was shaking him about. Bul was freaking out as well.
Thankfully the rat king had ignored them thus far.
"HEY HEY! NO STEPPING ON THE AUDIENCE!"
Sammy sprinted towards the rat king, she took a leap hitting a rather annoying jack in the box that was bouncing about using its own spring to launch her past the rat king, her prop sword flickering through the air at it.

Hel grinned at Tset and Xiu, and she was REALLY SORRY TO SAMMY BUT SHE NEEDED TO BOW BECAUSE THEY WERE ON A TIGHT SCHEDULE.
Things seemed to be winding down…until…Hel’s nose wrinkled. What was that smell? The next thing she knew, peering out onto the stage…there was a…Rat king!? The reaper looked startled as took over the stage, along with a mass little soldiers that were not gnomes. She tossed a wildly confused look at Mot, because this so wasn’t run by them at rehersals…but seeing Sammy leap into action, that really only left one option!
The reaper summoned her spear, and leapt out into the fray…but missed!
My HP: 40/40

This music, this smell...what in Halloween was going on? What was that thing--did it just try to stomp on the students? Her tail bristled in alarm as she stared at the intruder. What did that thing think it was doing?! The baku stepped forward to follow Sammy's lead and attack when she suddenly stumbling, having stepped on the edge of her gown.
Now, Xiu realized, was probably the worst time to be dressed as she was. Hoping no one would question her decency (and because this was important), Xiu began to strip off the dress right then and there. She had conveniently worn a tank top and a pair of shorts underneath the dress, though. How fortunate!
Once the dress was off and neatly pushed to the side, she turned to eye the target, trying to figure out where the best place to aim was. It was, uh, a little pudgy around the stomach area, but if she could get a good, hard hit in? She was pretty sure that would still hurt like hell.
Giving herself a little nod, Xiu darted forward, swinging her leg up and straight into the Rat King's stomach.
