Candice was sitting on the park bench, waiting for Raven. The present that she had been planning to give was wrapped neatly in a crimson red paper with bright green and gold ribbon knotted on the top of the box. Her gloved hands clenched the box tightly in her lap. "I really hope she likes it!"
She had been looking for the perfect make-up set for Raven. Although it had been Raven that introduced her to make-up in the first place, Candice was very picky about the stuff she used. The set she picked up for Raven was one she used herself and loved, mostly because the products were very natural as well as very good for the complexion.
As she was sitting there, it was cloudy, but the sun peeked out randomly in holes. Eventually, she saw little snowflakes coming down and she couldn't help but smile. Her park bench was certainly getting cold, but she tucked more of her dress under her bum to keep it from freezing and curled up a little bit more.
When she finally saw Raven's familiar face, she waved in that direction. "Raven! It's so good to see you again!" With her gift in hand, Candice ran towards her friend and gave her a tight hug.

Raven had been spending so much time either at home with her new puppy, or out with Jett, or just out on patrol draining the energy from the useless bums that loafed around the city, she had almost forgotten about her other friends. Though, when Candice had called and mentioned a meeting, she was rather pleased and had to run to the store to get the girl…something.
She finally settled on this very soft, very pretty fabric, after remembering that Candice liked to sew…
Or whatever.
When she arrived and was promptly hugged, she gave a little laugh. “Hey, Candice! How have you been? It’s been too long, girl, I’ve missed you. We really should have hung out sooner than this, but I’ve just been so busy!”
She held onto her wrapped box rather tightly, then held it out after she removed herself from the hug. “I got this for you, I really hope you like it and can find a use for it somewhere!”

Candice was really happy to see her friend again. It had been under odd circumstances that they had reunited at the Surrounding, but now... Now was a happy occasion! She looked at the box in Raven's hands and gave her another snug. "Thanks a bunch, love," she let out a small squeal and then lifted Raven's present up.
"I have one for you too! I really hope you like it!" She took her gift from Raven as she handed Raven her's. The smile on her face was beyond happy and well, it seemed like just a happy day! The presents both looked lovely, even though the receiver didn't know what was inside. And the snow! The snow was just so pretty!
She now hugged the gift from Raven happily. Candice was definitely excited about having the gift and she was even more curious about what was inside. Shaking the present a little, she looked up at Raven and giggled with excitement. "Should we open these now or wait for Christmas? I mean, I'd put mine under my Christmas tree... But the problem is, I don't have one!"

Raven just grinned then made a face. “Now Candice. Why would we ever wait until Christmas to open these? That’s just like…adding salt to a wound. We should open them now and make sure we’re both happy with the gifts. Besides. I want to make sure you like it.”
She gently shook her box and smiled. “Maybe I’m just impatient, but…I want to know what you got me, Candice. So…let’s open them now.”
The blonde tossed some hair over her shoulder and couldn’t seem to stop grinning as she slid a finger under the edge of the paper and ripped it off, giving a little giggle. “You see? It ripped, I suppose…I should just see what’s in it anyway! It couldn’t hurt.” Raven pulled the rest of the paper off and her eyes lit up. “Make up! Oh Candice! Wow! This is amazing! I was starting to run low with mine…this is the best gift ever!”
And it was good quality make up too! She felt very spoiled by Candice…How did she manage to get such good friends?

Candice laughed at Raven's excitement for presents. Of course, she was excited for the holidays too, but she also knew that most of her holiday break would be spent preparing for the next semester. She just couldn't help herself.
When she saw Raven open the present and thoroughly enjoy the gift, the smile on Candice's face grew. "I'm glad you like it! It's the brand I normally use and advertise to almost everyone.. Haha! It works wonders and guess what? All natural!"
She smiled and looked at her own gift, gently finding the pieces of tape and pulling them off. Although she liked opening gifts, Candice wasn't the type of person to just want to rip it off. Not that she saved the wrapping paper or anything... She was just very careful with the things inside. Candice was always a little frightened that if she ripped, there was a high chance of getting the gift messed up in some way.
As she finally unwrapped the gift, the fabric inside cascaded down just slightly. Candice took it in her hand and rubbed it against her face. "Wow Raven... This fabric feels wonderful! I'm sure many cute things will come out of this for the three kidlets. Holiday outfits!" For the three kids, she meant the ball-jointed dolls she loved so dearly.
"Thank you. SO. MUCH." Candice gave her friend another hug and gently tucked the fabric back into the wrapping paper so it wouldn't get dirty. "How have you been this holiday break? Having lots of fun?"

Raven nodded, laughing. “I’m so glad that you like it, I really couldn’t think of what to get you, but that fabric was just so pretty…you’ll have to show me the outfits that you make when they’re finished, okay?”
The blonde returned the hug, making it nice and tight, unable to get rid of the smile that was on her face.
“My holiday break has been really good, Really really good. I’m…not really ready to go back to school, but I’m just glad that I’m going to hopefully get back into DCU instead of staying at HITS. Not that…I completely dislike HITS…It’s just…I can’t stand it.”
She pulled away and made a face. “I was so glad to graduate Meadowview to get out of wearing the uniforms. Having to wear them again…was just awful, you know? Besides. I miss my cheerleading.”

"Of course! I'll... Have to take a break from studying some time to make some cute things for them! I'll be sure to send them to you via email or something..." Candice knew that sometimes she over did it with studying, and the fabric that now lay in her hands would be a good distraction, at least for a little bit of the holidays.
Candice laughed a little. "Uniforms are not that bad! I mean, at least not since you can change out of them after school. Not like you didn't wear a uniform for cheer leading." She grinned at Raven, half teasing. Looking at her gloved hands and flowy dress, she smiled again and laughed. "I mean, look at us now! We're all dressed up with no where to go."
"Oh yeah! I've seen Jett around! How have you two been doing? Spending a lot of time together this break?"

Raven laughed. “Well, cheerleading uniforms are at the very least form fitting, unlike the frumpy ones for school.” The blonde reached up and tucked some hair behind her ear.
“Yeah, Jett and I have been hanging out a lot….it’s been nice. We’re dating now, so that’s good. At least now he’s aware that we’re dating and he won’t go off making out with other girls…” She rolled her eyes then drew out her cell phone, glancing at the time.
“Oh crap. Candice, please don’t hate me, but I have to run, I have a hair appointment and it’s in fifteen minutes! We’ll have to talk and hang out again sometime soon, okay? It was wonderful to see you again!”
The blonde hugged the other girl and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. “Bye now! Thank you so much for the makeup! I’ll be wearing it all the time, I promise!” She ran off then, cursing herself for making the appointment that day of all days. How dumb could a person be?

"Glad to hear that you're doing well!" Candice returned the hug and the peck on the cheek and waved at her friend. "We shall have to meet up again in the new year!"
Candice waved as Raven ran off for her hair appointment. For herself, she decided to sit on the nearby bench for a little longer and enjoy the scenery. It wasn't very often that she'd allow herself to just relax after she started studying medicine. She unwrapped the gift again a little bit and looked at the glimmering cloth inside.
"I'm so glad that I have friends like Raven..." she smiled as pulled out the fabric. "They know just what I need to slow down a little bit in life." Candice tucked the fabric back in and stood up, and watched the snow fall a little bit more as she walked home.
