He had more important things to do. Roch knew it, on a logical level. He'd been working his a** off getting the gnomes and himself ready for the upcoming play, dealing with the ending of his crush, etc. But this was important too. In fact, he felt guilty as hell over it every time he saw Mot and Hel flirting so blatantly on groanspring.
That's why he had a piece of paper in his hand, one that had been written and scratched out and tossed and picked up again, over and over, until he'd had to copy the final message over to a new piece of paper. He stopped in front of Lizzy's door, starting to lean down to slip the letter under it.
Jack he was a coward when it came to this stuff.

Lizzy was actually not in her room; nowadays, she had taken to just walking around, trying to keep her spirits up despite kind-of-recent events regarding a faction of humans who should not exist. Adding to that was the fact that there seemed to be more and more of those Bogeymen patrolling around campus for some reason, and seeing them just served as a constant reminder of Professor Red...
She sighed, digging into her pocket to grab her keys, although the sight of someone outside her room made her stop. Realizing who it was, however, made her freeze up as she frowned; what was he doing here? It wasn't that she was mad at Roch - not really anyway - especially since Mot had revealed something to her that made Roch's little venting at her a little more logical, but he was still not her favorite person.
Not by a long shot.
"Hey," She walked right up to him and greeted; the tone she used was neutral, almost casual, as she decided that it was her room and she wasn't about to flee the scene, "Is there something I can help you with...?"

He stood straight, the letter in his hands, a hesitant look on his face. Unlike the last time she had seen him, the sixteen year old looked more like a guilty little boil than a rampaging reaper. In fact his silver eyes lowered, not quite meeting hers as he looked down at the sheet of paper.
"Um... I..." he started out, crinkling the letter. "I was just going to slip this under your door," he admitted. This was the part where he was supposed to hand it over, but he didn't look like he was going to.

She noticed his expression, but took that as his reaction to having been caught with being sneaky at her door rather than anything else; she could only hope that he wasn't trying to do anything nasty... She really, really did not want more things to worry over right now; she had even on her plate as it is!
Eyeing the piece of paper with a slight frown, Lizzy wondered if she should even ask about it; what if the contents of that letter would be best left unknown to her? Curiosity quickly got the better of her, however, as she tilted her head and pointed at it, "What is it?"

He hesitated. Then slowly he held it out to her. "It's a letter," he said. "Saying what a d**k I was. Cuz... y'know, I seriously thought he loved you," he admitted, shoving his hands in his pockets. "Then again, I seriously thought I loved her. What the hell IS love anyway?" he asked, finally looking her in the eye. "Do you know?"

She took the letter without saying a word, folding it neatly before tucking it into her pocket; really, the fact that he was apologizing was good enough for her. She might even had offered Roch a small smile, as if to thank him for doing this - apologizing can be hard, after all.
"I think that there're too many types of love for me to answer that question," She answered quietly, "If you're asking about romance though, I think it's a little too early for us to really know what it means." She thought she knew. Maybe she did; maybe she understood a little regarding what romantic love was, but then he had to go break up with her and now, that feeling was still there but it hurt her more than it made her smile.
"I love Mot in a platonic way," She pointed out, "And before you say anything, you probably love him that way too, best friend and everything. Then I can also easily admit that I love my mother. Romantic love is different from all these types of feelings. Some people say it can be developed, some people say you need to find that right person... I just think that it takes two hands to clap. If someone doesn't return your feelings, put your heart back in its box and wait for someone who does."
Personal experiences go.

"Yeah," he said quietly. He shoved his hands into his pockets, still looking guilty. "I shouldn't have gone off on you like that, though," he said. "It's just... I really thought Hel and him, they had something. Obviously, I mean, hell, look at them now. And Hel..." He hesitated, then gave her a crooked little grin.
"I like Hel. Me and her, well, we'd get in a JACK load of trouble if people weren't watching out for it. She needs a guy like Mot, y'know? But either way, I'd go to hell and back for her, too. So here I thought you were toying with Mot's feelings, and hurting Hel, on top of it, and..." He shrugged. "Yeah. But now they're so close it gives you tooth rot, so next time I'm definitely keepin' out of stuff like this."

"I am guilty of hinting Mot about Hel, although it was only a haunch at the time," She replied, "Hel refused to own up to me about Mot, after all, but she was being so..." Cold? Mean? "Distant from me that it was pretty obvious that she felt something a little extra for him... However, it seemed that Mot was just confused and needed to sort his own emotions out at his own pace."
Again personal experiences go.
"I'm not upset," She admitted, her expression sheepish, "Well, I was at first, but then I realized that you did not know me well enough to say anything about me, or accuse me of anything. Besides, you were dealing with two people you obviously care about... I doubt getting to know me better was at the top of your to-do list."

"Yeah, not really," he admitted. It still wasn't, not that he would tell her that. There was a strange expression on his face as she said Hel was being "distant" from her, and he wondered if Hel had ever been "close" to the ghoul in front of him. Or did Lizzy just assume everyone should be close to her for some reason?
A ton of questions were coming up in the boil's head, and being the blunt guy that he was, it was almost hard to keep from asking them. But he was here for a reason. He was going to apologize--actually, he HAD already apologized--and walk away, never dealing with this pink haired demon again.
Charlie was, and probably always would be his pink haired demon of choice. But... there was a question that'd been bugging him for a while.
"I gotta ask," he said abruptly. "I probably don't know the guy, or anything, but I know you got a boilfriend. Who is it?" What kind of saint would put up with this ghoul on a regular basis?
Ok, that was a dickish thought, and he regretted it, but neither the thought or the regret showed on his face as he waited for her to reply.

"Ah, that..." She paused, looking away for a bit before turning back to look at the boil, her tone hesitant as she continued; really, Roch had no business in asking and this was a bad time to ask, but it's not like there was any harm in telling him anything.
"His name was Mac," She stated in a matter-of-factly way, trying not to let her voice waver, although it was hard to hide the sadness from her eyes as she continued, "We broke up recently."

The shock showed clearly on his face. This--LIZZY was dating--had been dating MAC? The guy he'd hung out with for a night? They'd had a hell of a fun time, too, but-- He blinked, trying, and failing to come to terms with the image of Mac and Lizzy as a couple. It was shocking. Stunning. And EXTREMELY disturbing. It was-- He shook his head, shaking the image out of his mind abruptly. Well... it wasn't any of his business who she was dating, right--or not dating. He frowned, then mentally shrugged it off. He probably knew why Mac had dumped her, too. He wondered if Mac knew Mot... Probably did, he thought. And he might even feel the same way (on one level) as Roch did about the guy. Maybe. He didn't know. Possibly he hated the guy, which was a definite option. But. Y'know, what was he supposed to say to this? "Sorry bout that," he said finally, not realizing all his feelings had shown on his face, not really caring, either. "Like you said, maybe next time," he finished with a shrug, turning to leave.

Lizzy really didn't care either; she wasn't comfortable with talking to anyone about Mac right now, unless it was someone close to her... And even then... She sighed internally, remembering her talk with Mot and Mitsu, although the second one didn't start out as a talk. Maybe she should get a different point of view on the matter from someone else.
"Goodbye," She said softly before turning to face her door, grabbing her keys and opening it before stepping inside. Once the door was locked, she collapsed onto her bed, not wanting to move for a while.
