Crown circled the lake yet again, he couldn't help but feel like he had made a fool of himself yesterday with Eden, and he felt bad for that. After all.... he had judged based on appearance alone, something that Maion had warned him never to do. Come in peace or leave in pieces..... Orion hadn't actually touched or harmed his sister but Crown had jumped to the conclusion that his actions would....
But even more surprising was that Eden had mated, mated and told him nothing of it. He paused his pacing and a sadness consumed him. Did she feel she could not trust him with such a thing? It was part of the reason why he had wandered all night, not wanting to risk stumbling into anyone who may ask him questions that he did not wish to discuss... after all, it was Eden's to tell not his. Yet the sadness lingered around her.
Signing he made a decision... he would seek Eden out and talk to her, congradulate her properly on being mated... something he had yet to find for himself. Decided he called for her, "Eden?" And headed towards her usual haunts.

Eden was alone, Moss had gone off to find something to eat, though more and more the mouse was spending her time in th mares warmer mane. She was puzzling over some parts of a something that she was working on, moving one of tehparts to another place, clearly working something out as she does. Looking a little grubby from her hunting for bits to use as parts, having needed some time.... The day before her brother had met Orion, that mixed in with her mothers reaction a couple of days ago... Eden had withdrawn a little into herself again.
She loved Crown, he was probably her favourite person in the world, in fact he shared a place with Orion that none other had... Her 2 favourite people. However Crown had reacted.... well not badly but it hadn't gone as she might have hoped. The charm hanging still on her ribbon from her choaker, not havign wanted to mention Orion to her mother again. And so she had taken herself off to work and think on other things.

It didn't take too long to find Eden, she must have been hunting for material for her light green pelt was covered in dirt, twigs and mud. "There you are," he said, knowing that it was likely he wa sinterupting her thoughts about something... be it a new invention or thoughts of recent events.
He paused for a moment, not saying anything for a moment, but the silence was uncomfortable even though it had only been a moment so he found himself saying; "I wanted to say sorry.... about yesterday. I misjudged Orion." He smiled softly, his eyes speaking the truth behnd his words. He loved his sister, and he didn't want anything to ever come between him and Eden. She was as much a part of him as he was of her, and even if she was the elder sibling he felt a protective urge towards her... one that had gotten the better of him yesterday.
He looked around for Moss, wondering if distracting her may help the situation; "Where is Moss today?" It was rare that Crown saw them apart, especially now it was getting colder.

Eden looked up as Crown arrived and finally spoke. offering him a genuine and tender smile after he had spoken. "She is off finding soemthing to eat as I got stuck and she got bored of watching me think." She moved and nuzzled Crown's neck, pressing her face into his mane and resting there with a sigh, accepting his apology and unusually for her leaning on him a little. She enver let anyone be her support strut, but today it seemed she needed someone to be there for her. "Its ok Crown, we all make mistakes and things jsut happen sometimes."

Crowns eyes nearly popped out of his head when he felt the soft weight of his sister leaning up him, head buried into his mane... it was unusual, no, extremely rare. His brow creased. Something felt wrong.... he had noticed the little pendant tied upon her ribbon, so he tried to talk to her idly, allowing her to take all the comfort she required from his warmth. "It looks good on you...." A small smile covered his features, remembering the state they all got into as they searched for it in the mud.
He remained in silence, wondering what Eden would do or say next.... if anything.

Nodding, the motion a nuzzle against his neck, agreeing with his words. sighing again. "What did you think of Orion? I know you barely got to know him..." Still leaning agaisnt him, nuzzling into his mane more, givign a small tug.

Crown returned the favour, giving his sister everything she wanted. He would gladly stay here all day if she required such. When she nodded he smiled, she was clearly very in love with Orion.... she was acting far more like a 'mare' than he had ever seen her, yes she was dressed in a similar manner to their mother but everyone who knew her knew that was simply to please their mother, he was pretty sure that Eden would prefer a belt to keep her tools in, things tied into her hair so she could carry them with her.... yes, something more practical was to Eden's purpose.
He thought about his words, recalled their encounter. He had questions, but first he would answer hers. "I think.... that he cares greatly for you, and for that I like him. You deserve that and more Eden." He smiled and kissed the top of her head, "If he ever hurts you," He knew after yesterday this would unlikely be welcomed but he needed to say it anyway, after all she was his sister. "I will kill him..." That said he sighed, "But I do not believe he ever would Eden."

She nods and lifts her head to smile at him, kissing his cheek. "I don't think he would either, in fact I think I'm in more danger of hurting him than him hurting me..." She sighed and shrugged smiling again and giving him a soft nudge, heading over towards a tree that offered more shelter from the wind that was picking up. Leaving him silence to ask things in if he wanted.

Crown found his mind puzzled at her words.... yet they rung true with him. He let her walk away, his eyes following her as she moved to take shelter, it didn't take long for his own legs to work and again and carry him towards her. He moved to her side, possition his wing so that it lay upon her back to shelter her even more from the cold breeze of winter. "Eden.... why does he wear that mask?" He had noted Eden quickly moving to replace it yesterday before Crown had been able to see the stallions eyes.... perhaps it had something to do with Eden's fear of hurting Orion?

She snuggled agaisnt him so they would keep eachother warm against teh chill of the wind. hoping that Mosss had found somewhere warmer, pretty suer teh mouse would head for home and probably one of the other herd members to shelter with till Eden was back. "The blindfold... I think its a family or belief thing, he can see just fine... Some things he isn't comfortable about talking about, even with me, it wil ltake time.... I get the feeling that he might have been abused somehow by his family... but I don't know for sure..." She was taking her time with her questions, broaching them slowly, she was trying to be so careful with him she didn't know as much as she might want. But she saw such goodness in Orion that she had fallen for him regardless.

Crown listened to her words and couldn't help but feel concern towards the situation, abused by his family? Didn't answer all the questions? Crown couldn't imagine any family abusing a child.... especially to the point that they were fractured, was Orion damaged beyond repair? He hoped his sister had not fallen for him as a protect to fix just like her traps? He shook his head and dislodge the thoughts, Eden would not do such, the fact that she had allowed her heart to open meant that the stallion truely deserved it, even if he could not yet see it. With that he said, "I would like to get to know Orion better, since he means so much to you he must become like a brother to me." He kissed his sisters head again, thankful for the delicate warmth her body gave. "I must ask.... what makes you think he was abused?"

Eden sighed, not knowing for sure but she had drawn conclusions from things said. "Well... His father is the Kalona... He wont speak of him, seems to loathe him... and himself for being born half Kalona... I would guess his mother must be a flutter of some kind, or a flutter mix.... I don't think he has met his father, or if he has its a one of thing or very rare... So all he knows about his father is whatever he was told by his mother... but his self opinion is so low that I think his moter put it down there... Being part Kalona doesn't usually make anyone so self hating." She was guessing but he didn't speak of these things, only the surface information.

Crown frowned, his brow furrowed as he considered her words but he pushed past them. "So... how did you meet?" Part of him worried that she had wandered from the herd lands, espeically since she was his sister and he would not see harm come to her, not while he worked to protect the lands their lived in.
There was however something he had to say to her, "I am happy for you Eden... although perhaps a little jealous." He kissed her head, "I hope that he will always make you happy."

Eden smiled at him. "He wandered just a little over our border one day. I was working ad he stumbled into one of my chimes and got caught and spooked by it,every move more noise. Poor guy, he couldn't leave fast enough after that but didn't know te way off our lands so I showed him.. We talked on the way... About flowers and nature... He is just a very gentle soul, more at hime with quiet and butterflies than any other soquili... Next time I saw him Elijah was watching him, doing the silent and stare routine... We went for a walk, and talked more..." Blushing, not admitting that she had been thinking about Orion before this second meeting, wondering if maybe their first meeting had made her love him just a little?
