I heard on Sirius XM's NASCAR radio today that NASCAR is going to outlaw the multichannel radios the drivers have been using to communicate with each other during plate races. They will still be able to talk to their own spotter and crew, but no one else. Do you guys think this will break up the two-car draft everyone seems to hate?

This is bull s**t! I'm bout to stop watching NASCAR no joke they keep adding p***y rules and with them making that rule is gonna cause more crashes

This will do something. It might get rid of the 2 car drafting, but we won't know what this might end up doing to the racing there.

I don't think it'll eliminate it, but it'll make it more cumbersome and unplanned.
The real deterrent might be a new aero package. I heard in some instances what they were trying were causing the cars to go 203 MPH by THEMSELVES in testing.

I've also heard that they are looking at the rear spoilers and the radiators/grill openings as well.
NASCAR did a survey at the Daytona 500 this past year, and the overwhelming majority of fans said they hated the two-car draft.

I don't have a problem with it. I'm really tired of seeing everyone piled on top of each other, but whatever. I think they're going to move the grille up back where it used to be on the old cup cars.

I say at least 5 cars overheat and have an engine failure during speedweeks.

I dont think it will stop them from two car drafting but it sure will make restrictor plate racing more interesting.

The problem with what NASCAR is doing is they aren't fixing the right things. Its the new car that is causing this style of racing. Its the aerodynamics they should be changing. Although I do believe drivers should only be allowed to talk to teammates so that aspect doesn't bother me.
