Jean led the way to the dorm across from Lily's room, her brother's dorm. He felt curious about what her brother had wanted, but was a bit nervous what he would do when he found out him and Lily were together. He waited for Lily to knock on the door, and his eyes wandered down the hallway to where his dorm would be. He had only rushed in and out to get something, and suddenly remembering something he did a facepalm. "Oh no, I left the presents in the dorm... Laurent and I didn't participate in the Secret Santa because we were too late, so we got something for the teachers. After we're done here and go back to the ball, can we stop by there?" he asked, feeling a bit stupid he was so forgetful. He became silent and waited nervously to enter the dorm.

Lily held Jean's hand with a small grip on it, saying that she is really nervous and afraid that Li will yell at her. She looked up at Jean as he mentioned presents and going back to the ball, she giggled and said in a whisper,"As long as there are no yelling, screaming, and hollering during out meeting with Li then... yeah." She gave him a small smile and kissed his cheek, she sighed and knocked on Li's door as there was a loud thud, she sighed and thought,"He must've fell on the floor, again"
Li fell on the floor again and looked around, oh he was in his dorm. He heard another knock on the door, he straightened up and walked over to the door opening it. He looked at Jean and Lily together, he looked at their hands as they were entwined. Rage started building up inside him, but since they were his guest he politely said with a forceful smile,"Please, come in."

Jean was almost sweating with nervousness by now. When he heard a thud he jumped slightly, then sighed with relief when the door opened. "Hey, Li, you okay?" He noticed the weird look on Li's face and his anxiety returned. He let go of Lily's hand and sat on the bed, boucing up a bit before settling down. "So umm... I'm not interrupting or anything right? I heard you wanted to talk to Lily so I walked her over here..." He was worried that Li would start to hate him, he had actually wanted to become friends, Li was close to his age, and in his class also. Jean realized that he had no male friends, besides Mikuo but they hadn't talked recently.

Li smiled at Jean and said,"So then... why were you two holding hands?" His smile turned into a frown. Lily sighs in annoyance of Li and said in a slightly happy voice,"Because... we want to go out. It's simple enough right Li?" Li growled and hollered,"What do you mean 'you want to go out'? With him? No way, he must be someone who is willing to protect your spoiled self." He glared at Jean and to Lily. Lily frowned and said,"As it sounded like, we want to go out. Yes with him, to me he can be whoever I want to be with. And I want to be with Jean, I'm not changing my mind even if you say no." She didn't want to be away from Jean and let her over protective brother keep her away from love. Li frown deepened and said,"My answer will still be no and it will never change. So you shall never see him, nor be near him." He smiled a winning smile. Lily frowned and slapped his across the face, tears started welling up and she cried. She looked at Li and yelled through her tears,"You can't tell me what to do forever! You can't tell me who I can or cannot love in my life. I love Jean, okay? If I can't be with him then... I'll lock myself in my dorm and never face you ever again, do you understand me Li?!" She stepped away from him as she continued crying, she was trembling and thought,"Why does he always have to boss me around? Why is he telling me who to love or not? I don't like it, I hate it!"

Jean jumped up and said loudly, "Listen, I don't mean to be rude, but you don't know me. I have complete respect for you, I'm not asking you to make a sacrifice, I don't want to get in between you and your sister so I promise I shall protect her and we'll take it slow. I'm not asking you to trust me, like me, be friends with me, I'm not asking anything of you except some time to let me prove myself." he panted a bit after his speech, his eyes fixed on Li, unwavering. When Li proclaimed Lily wasn't allowed to see him his anger built up more. "Selfish! Why wouldn't you want her to be happy? Right now she's happy, right now I've done nothing bad. If I turn out to be a bad person then you would have every right to make that decision, but right now you should take your sister's happiness into consideration until something happens to prove that she's making a bad decision." It hurt talking about himself like that, he had complete confidence in himself, but what Li was saying was unjustified, he had no right to do so and Jean needed to do something quick to protect Lily. His eyes widened when Lily slapped her brother, and he stepped forward to take her wrist to prevent her from doing anything else. He refused to witness a fight between sibling, if they beat him up he wouldn't mind but he couldn't stand seeing others fight. "Lily, I don't want you to get in a fight on my behalf. Please let's all be rational. Li, your overreacting, if you don't trust me take it out on me, not your sister. This is an issue between me and you apparently, so settle this with me." He stepped in front of Lily like a shield and stood up straighter. "Just tell me you don't like me, tell me why, let me show you that I can be trusted."

Li froze as Lily slapped him, he trembled and looked at Jean. He looked back at his crying sister, he moved Jean out of his way and caressed Lily's face. He kissed her forehead and said,"Lily, please stop crying. I'm sorry, I'm really sorry, please forgive me. I grant you permission to see him, I was testing on what he was to say. I apologize." He hugged her and trembled.
Lily froze as Li hugged her, she fell to the ground with him and cried. After several minutes, Lily stopped crying and stood up with her brother, she sighed and said,"Did you really had to make me cry? I mean really, there could be another way. So you said that we can be together right?" She smiled happily at the thought of being with Jean.
Li smiled and nodded,"As long as you don't get into trouble." Li looked at Jean and puts his hand on Jean's head. He smiled and said,"Make sure you protect her from harms way. Even a little scratch is okay if she says she's fine. But if something really hurts then make sure to carry her back to get help." He smiled and gave Jean a small noogi, he smiled and said,"Go have fun you two."
Lily smile widened and hugged Li saying in a rush,"Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you Li-Nii-sama!" She up to Jean and hugged him happily.

Jean felt touched when Li apologized, but became completely confused when Li said it was a test. "Wait... so it was all a test? You made your sister cry to test me?" He looked down, feeling a bit angry, but the feeling faded when he gave permission for them to go out. N-not like I needed permission. Jean though, trying to regain his pride. He squinted his eyes worriedly when Li put his hands on his head, but smiled and nodded. "Don't worry, I'll take good care of her. But she's still your sister so she's your responsibility when I;m not around." Jean joked. He punched Li lightly in the shoulder after the noogi and said, "I guess this makes us like brother's hmm? Or at least I hope we can be friends." He still felt wary of Li being a trickster, but he would get over it eventually. He caught Lily as she hugged him and squeezed her happily before letting go. "Hey Li, will you come to the ball with us?" He winked at Lily and joked; "I might just decide to ask Li out the next ball if he proves to be a good dancer."

Li thought about going to the ball and shook his head denying his invitavtion, he then started answering his questions,"Yes I tested you, not her crying, but you. I wanted to see if you will deny my answer or not. Yeah you got that right, friends it is Jean." He smiled.
Lily laughed lightly and said,"Jean don't keep trying, if you want to see him dance then go ahead, but I promise you that you will start laughing so badly that you need new air." She laughed and hugged his arm happily, she loves Jean.

"Come on, there's lot's of girls at the ball, they'd love to have a single guy to dance with, you should really go. Even if you don't dance it will be fun." He turned to Lily and hugged her again. He hoped Li would go to the ball, but he was more concerned for Lily, whether she had fun or not.

Li shook his head and said,"Sorry, but I'd rather not. You see, um I'm not use to going to parties much, even though I look as if I do."
Lily just remembered something and said,"Um... Jean? Don't you have something to do with Secret Santa? I mean you with the presents?" She giggled at her forgetful boyfriend.

Jean sighed and smacked his head. "Oh yeah, the present's let's stop by my dorm and get them" He frowned at Li and shook his head. "you have to go to the ball, I'm not going to let you sit in your room. come on, get dressed, if you need a tuxedo I can lend you one." He crossed his arms stubbornly. Li had to go to the ball.

Li sighed and said,"Fine I'll go, I bet you won't even let me alone if I don't. Don't worry I got a tux, and get out so I can change." He said stubbornly.

Jean smiled triumphantly. "You won't regret it, I promise." He took Lily's hand and led her out the door. "I need to hurry and get the presents, it'll just take a second, you want to come with me?"

Lily shook her head and said,"I'll wait for Li to finish changing, you can get the presents... hm I probably don't have presents. Wait it's back in my dorm, I'll get it when we're going to walk pass my dorm." She giggled and leaned on the wall.
