Another long night had passed for the former prince of the Kusini lands. He had made a habit of trying to sneak out past the borders into the pridelands to see his peachy love known as Rehani. Only recently did he find out she was pregnant with his cubs, which brough an instant smile, yet sheer look of horror to his face. It wasn't ready to be a parent, but alas, who was?
Curled on the hot dunes, his tongue lolled out of his mouth slightly as the strong sun hit his dark pelted skin, keeping his temperature up. And being in a desert, the lack of water never did help the situation much. Groaning lightly, his rolled over, his muscles aching slightly from the midnight travelings.

Of course, the sun would render any creature into a sence of drowze had they not been a part of the pride born and raised there. Nuri had been settled not too far away from her 'slave', a frown marring her features as her body was just showing slight signs of pregnacy. Most would confuse it for a sudden gain of weight, her form having been so thin before hand, but she knew.
Standing slowly, she narrowed her dark eyes and started to walk towards Denahi, anger coursing through her veigns at his stupidty.
"You." She grounded out as she got close enough, "Get up. Now." There was no room for arguement as he lied there, for today would be the day.
It was time for him to learn just what being a slave was all about.

His blue eye peeked open wearily, hazily focusing on the crimson firekin approaching him. He noticed her stomach bulging a bit, but really had never been around a pregnant lioness before. After all, he found out about his nephew once he saw him, and left before his mother had even began to show the slightest signs of the small cubs. Then there was Rehani, who he really wasn't paying attention to much considering facts flew to his head left and right that night.
"Mmm Five more minutes," He groaned out, tucking his head below his paws to cover them from the sun. This was the same star that shined over all the lands, was it not? So why here did it seem extra hot and bright? Denahi didn't like it at all.

Nuri let out a low rumble from her chest, a snarl appearing across her features as nails peaked from her paws. Moving the rest of the way, she suddenly pushed him to his side and slammed her paw down upon his neck and windpipe.
"I said now." It was a low command, one that said he was pushing her far past her limits. If one thing was for sure, she had a shorter fuse now that she was carrying than she did as a regular lioness.
"I am not in the mood to put up with you and your lip, and at the moment, there is nothing stopping me from killing you and leaving you here for the vultures. I am giving you one last chance, do you want to take the opertunity to listen, or would you rather just let me dispose of you and not have to worry about one more mouth to feed every night."
Pushing down harder, she pulled back suddenly from his neck before any real damage could be done and extended her claws. It was his choice.

As the paw came crashing down on his neck, the charcoal lion gasped and snarled as he struggled to get out from underneath the larger lioness. "Getoffofme," He growled out, his limbs flicking in turn with his lanky body.
Once she removed herself from him, he sat straight up, a paw lingering to his neck and his breathing coming out in pants. A low growl escaped from his maw, as his blue eyes narrowed onto her. "What do you want me to do?" He sneered out, his tail thrashing behind him.
He should learn to hold his tongue, or else he would probably never see his precious Rehani again.

Nuri just settled down and looked to the sand lines, "I want you to listen, for this is the only time I will explain just what is expected from you...and it will be wise for you to remember as well. You fail to do what I say, you will die."
Standing, she nodded for him to follow, "Come with me, I shall show you to one of the few watering oasis' in the area." Moving on the path and not waiting for him to catch up, she knew he would need to gain some stamina if he wished to survive, and with that coat he had it quite hard, but in the end he would learn, and he would live, at least from the heat.
"There are many rules that you will need to know." She started, "Most will be about your job here, and yet there will be important ones about how you will act around others. We are lineate with you, Denahi, others will not be."

Denahi nodded reluctantly, not wanting to comprehend what she was saying. But alas, he did, and it were these times he had decided to follow the two firekins into the land, to be forever bound to this fate.
His ears perked at the sound of the watering oasis. "You mean there are water supplies in this hell hole?" He asked dryly, following the lioness at a slow speed. His paws hit the ground softly as he floated along the dunes, trying to keep in her shadows so the sand didn't burn his paws to much.
"Oh goody, rules." He muttered sarcastically when she began to talk.

She didn't even bother to pay attention to his sarcasim, for soon enough he would learn to shut that large mouth of his for good, or else it would be perminatly shut for him. A suddenly thought came to mind involving removing his tongue, but she would save that threat for another time when he really was pushing her and Chomo was around to help 'hold him down'.
"Yes." She said shortly, "Rules. And you will be wise to keep up so you understand these rules. Chomo and I have been leniant with you these past few weeks, but after today, that will be no more." As they rose up another sand dune, the sight of an oasis was far away. However, Nuri made no sign of seeing it, for she was used to the sight.

The charcoal lion was not to fond of these sand dunes. You would go up one, then down, and then up once again! Did they ever end? Sure, he had seen hills in his homelands before, but never sand filled ones going on for miles. The sight of the oasis, however, caused a slight perk in steps so he could arrive their sooner.
He frowned, "Why the change of heart," He muttered under his breath, glancing at her with a look of questioning. "And what are these 'rules' I /must/ follow." He asked sarcastically, gazing towards the ground as they walked.

Not changing her pace at all, Nuri just looked ahead with a nonchalante appearence.
"Oh, you dont have to follow them..." She said off handedly, shruging her shoulders and letting her eyes lid in slight boredom, "Be it the case, leave, by all means go. There is no need for you here if you wish to start trouble." It was simple as that, and she moved to her regular pace to pass him, tail waving lightly and ears flat as her whole form revealed pracitced relaxation.

Who said anything about starting trouble? Not him surely, but oh well. It was Denahi in his prime, sure enough along some point he would cause some sort of chaos. "Why don't you tell me these rules first, then I'll decide whether or not to stay or go, hmm?" He asked her, glaring from behind as her pace increased. How could she move so quickly in this weather? Was she as thirsty as he was and just water driven?
"Besides, I'd said I wouldn't leave you alone until you tell me about Finar-si." He stated matter of factly.

She finally reached the lowest part of the dune and stilled her movements, turning back to look right at him in such a way that her glarem mimiced the flames that brushed their lands.
"They are quite simple." She stated in an emotionless drawl, her voice even and monotonistic as the cold brush flowed with each word, "You are to follow ever command we give you. No matter what you think, we control you now, and if you make one slip, it could cost you your meal, your water, and even your life." Steadily, she sat on her haunches and looked to the side in a sence of boredom.
"Any sort of Insabordination will have you killed, and your pelt used as a bed in the cold nights. And yet, if you follow all our instructions without complaint, you will be rewarded. Do you understand, or do you need me to explain how you must live every day...?" Looking back to him, she rasied a brow as if mocking his intelligance.

His shoulders slumped as she turned to glare at him. Something about that look caused him to shy backwards. He only thought this was only a game, but as she spoke his maw twitched. ...What had Denahi gotten himself into now? He should have left when she had left the opportunity open to him. After all...he was going to have little children running around with Rehani soon...
Without complaint, eh? That was going to be hard. "No, I think I got it thank you," He commented, rolling his eyes as his ears pinned back on his head. She didn't say when this would start right? Best make use of the rebelliousness. He moved past her without another comment, heading for the water with his head spinning from the thoughts roaming his mind.

Letting him move ahead, she halted her steps before moving away. Soon enough he would learn his place, but until than she would need to converse with Chomo. Padding away with the winds to her back, she forgot all about the need for some salvation, instead seeking shadows that always comforted, the cliffs in the distance a trek but well worth it. It was up to Denahi if he wanted to take heed to her words and follow her steps while he still could.
