Sadie's eyes flickered to Dakota as he merely told Michael to watch his words. She hadn't been expecting him to be so passive about it. Then Michael opened his mouth to make his comment and she shot him a look. Omega. She hated that word. It was disgraceful. She hadn't done anything to be made the butt of their jokes. Their little jester. No, that wasn't going to stick. Sadie would kill if she had to be a omega much longer.
Sadie was pleased to hear that Dakota was agreeing with Sara. It was the most sensible thing. The pack leader apparently had a good head on his shoulders, instead of being some murderous brute she had been lead to believe by all the rumors circling the city when she first entered. The pack wasn't the nicest group of people, but then again, neither was she. She supposed she would fit in eventually. Just needed to give it some time.
Sadie gave the male beta a small smile of satisfaction. His idea? Shot down. Though, it surprised her even more that he went on full blast about Chloe's idea. Even she hadn't been so cruel about it. Really, if her mate..or whatever those two were..ever said such rude things about that to her? Well, they wouldn't be mates any longer. It was out right disrespectful. Even, if Sadie thought Chloe was a b***h, she didn't think she deserved that sort of comment. Sadie raised an eyebrow and uncrossed her legs. The meeting was over.
The beta male excused himself and Chloe soon followed. It was her and the alphas left in the room. Oh, lord. Chloe was to check on Gabi, so that meant one person was left to go with Michael. Standing up, she waited until Dakota and Sara were..finished. Then, Dakota addressed her mildly about her instructions. Proving herself. She hadn't already? No matter..this wouldn't be an issue. "It won't be a problem. I can handle myself," she said with some confidence. No way would she be calling her alphas to whine about that dumb animal. "This will be...entertaining," she said choosing her words carefully. Well, it would be something all right.
She thanked the two alphas and made her way to the door. Through the glass she could see the large male standing outside. He would most likely assume that it was Chloe coming out, but oh no! A smile formed on her face as she thought of his reaction. This would be good. Pushing the door open she looked the male over. "Surprise," she said in a not so enthusiastic voice. She gave him a moment to take in the fact that he was going to have to work with the omega. Heaven forbid.
"Let's be quick about this, shall we?" she asked. Without waiting for an answer, she stripped herself of all her clothes. She liked them, knew there would be a fight, and well..she didn't want them ripped. Letting them drop to the ground, she kicked them to the side. Giving him an amused smile she bolted away from him. In that moment of running she began to shift. Oh, it hurt like a b***h. Never got very much better. The bone crunching sound was the most sickening part of it. The rest of their features were almost grotesque in mid transform. Though, it didn't last long and she was glad. With that she headed in the direction of the slums. She would find the ally and trace the girl's scent from there.
