Alnitak made her way around the pack’s territory, moving along her usual route around patrolling. it had been some time sense any actual threats had made their way in to the Nyota’s territory, but even still she refused to stop. Like any other night this one was also a quiet one. There was little activity further out from the dens, where activity was surely higher as wild dogs went about their business. It was a peaceful quiet, broken only by the sounds of wings in the sky and wind blowing through the grasses. A relatively quiet night. Aln liked nights like these, but hated them just as much.

Gallifrey was becoming more and more accustomed to the pack. He finally had decided that it was safe to step into the borders and perhaps meet some new canines like himself. The lady leader certainly was pretty- maybe the whole pack was pretty- one could only dream.
He then saw another female up ahead, and as not to be rude used the same greeting the alpha used towards him, "Hail Hound!"

The male had been spotted before Aln heard his greeting. He was familiar though, a part of the pack. A new one perhaps, as she had not had the time to properly meet all of the newcomers between her own duties and searches out of the pack’s territory. She held her own greeting until she stopped but a few feet away from him. “Greetings.” Her gaze swept quickly across the male. Aln did not recognize him as a Colossus, so he was surely not out here patrolling. “What bring you out so close to the territory’s edges?” It was certainly no crime to be out here, but she was curious what business has brought him out so far from the dens.

"Packs make me nervous..." He said quite frankly. "This is my first...so I've been skimming the edges getting up the gusto to go in further." He said quite proud to have made it to the borders anyway. A few days ago he wasn't even on the packs territory. "But I'm Night Gallifrey." He said proudly asserting his title to himself. "And who might you be miss?"

Alnitak watched him curiously for a moment, wondering if the male was serious. It seemed so though. She certainly could not recall really seeing him, perhaps she had seen him before out of the territory on one of her patrols in the distance. It would certainly make sense if that were the case, however she still found the situation a bit odd. “I, Night Gallifrey, am Baraza Alnitak.” Her gaze was hard as she watched him, as was her voice as she spoke. “I certainly do hope you will eventually bring yourself to join the rest of the pack as your presence on our borders is surely not of much aid to the rest of my kin.” He seemed a weak soul to her, nervous of something that should come so natural to them.

"Well that is the intent anyway." He chuckled halfheartedly. She was obviously not as amused that he hadn't gone straight into the territory and started making friends. It was just a habit of his to be cautious. If he was cautious he would be safe; and then when he finally let himself relax he wouldn't worry about being ambushed or something to the like.
"Baraza?" He titled his head. "That would make you a leader wouldn't it?" At least that was what the other females title was.

“Yes, that it would. I am one of the three leaders of this pack.” Due to the fact he had not been much further in to the territory she was not surprised that he did not recognize her as one of the three Baraza. Her hard stare continued as she watched the male. “So tell me, Night Gallifrey, why is it you joined the pack if you were just going to cower on our borders?” The fact he might eventually get further in was of no matter to her. Not knowing how long that might take, he was simply a useless body taking up space within the lands to her.

"I'm not cowering..." He said gruffly back at her. He was annoyed that she would even think that. "I've just never been in a pack before..." He said looking her back in the eye. "And frankly I'm just unsure how these things go." He clearly was unamused at her tone expecilly if she was a leader.
"I would have thought it was a leaders job to welcome new members...not drive them away. I also thought it was a leaders job to know all there pack- not have there pack actively search them out; what kind of leader is that anyway?" He raised a lip laced with sarcasm. "I am no coward. I just like to know the cards I'm playing before I go all in, sa'vvy?""

A low growl emitted from Alnitak. “I welcome the strong, those I feel will be of benefit to my pack. The weak,” Emphasis was set on the final word, along with another low rumble from her chest, “Are of no interest to me. You, Night, seem to have barely even set paw within the territory, and yet expect me to know of your presence here, or lack thereof?” Alnitak scoffed and set her attention past him as she started to walk away, intent on finishing her patrol before the sun came to take over the sky. As she walked away she spoke over her shoulder, her voice carrying a warning tone. “I would suggest, Night, that you tread lightly.” The red female continued on, ears perked forward and gaze set intently forward as she left the male behind.

"Don't assume I'm weak because I'm cautious!" He called out to her annoyed as she walked off. It was often the ones who rushed in headfirst that got themselves killed anyway. And who was he to battle or guard? He was a healer for pete's sake. "Just remember who's paws your in if something happens to you..." He sneared at the thought of it. Oh he defiantly didn't like this female. Not one bit.
