The Boy & His Grounds
{Edward H. Butterfield is a kind, young boy of 12 who has lived a happy, wealthy life since the day he was born. With an adoring mother, a devoted father, and enough siblings to keep any child preoccupied there is little that Edward can complain about. Still, he is a boy...and a thief, and a con-artist in the making. Edward KNOWS he can get what he wants with time and effort, and is smart when going about it--so why not push a couple of buttons? Tempt a bit of fate? As decent of a person that he is, Edward Hansley Butterfield can be quite the terror.
A bit about the family
Mother: Although obsessive over her public image and devoted to maintaining an active social life, Edward's mother loves to love on her children. They find it suffocating at times, even begging the question of whether or not her affection is genuine or just another way to gain attention...but her actions are pure, and family is very important to the woman.
Father: A good, kind hearted man who much like his son, always seems to have a trick up his sleeve. When not being a trouble-maker, he is quite the brilliant businessman and due to this he is a very busy individual. Still, Edward's father always seems to find time for the important things in life and rarely feels regret. }
Household: Lilly Belle Butterfield(mother), Peter Hensley Butterfield(father), Martha May Butterfield(sister), Otto Grimley Butterfield(Brother), William Hemmingsworth Butterfield(Brother), Ginger Gale Butterfield(Sister), Olivine Belle Butterfield(Sister), Adele Lillian Butterfield(Sister), Bartholomew Holden Butterfield(Brother), Winston Butterfield(Nephew; Martha), Christopher Gale Briggs(Uncle), and Abigail Briggs(Aunt). The in-house nannies include: Maggie May Winslow, Gretchen Pike, and Callie Stone.
Special Notes: Winston's father is out of the picture, and Martha May Butterfield's sin is kept a family secret. For those who ask, the toddler is Lilly Belle's eighth and final child.
The Grounds: The Butterfield's own a compilation of a few rental homes ranging in size and price. The land on which these homes rest comprises of a thick forest, open plains, a creek which winds throughout, and the primary grounds for the family; a hill which overlooks everything. Their mansion sits atop of it, and the only structure built close by is the horse stable where purebred Shire's are bred and sold at reasonable prices.
Notes: Behind the Butterfield mansion is a graveyard where several members of the family have been buried, including a bird, a dog, a cat, four horses, and both sets of grandparents. There's a suspicious amount of unmarked stones, however, which are scattered toward the farthest reaches of the plot.
