Alex and ~*~ are very good friends but one night walking home the day ~*~ was going to tell Alex how he really felt about her he risked his life to save her. A drunk driver swerved off the road and was going to hit Alex but ~*~ pushed her out of the way and let him get hit instead. Now he is dead and underground in the graveyard. But he now a ghost watching over Alex but soon Alex sees him and she starts to love him even though he is a ghost. But every ghost stays to finish something they didn't when they were alive. Alex was walking with Justin and she rubbed her hands together."Holy crap is cold." she chuckled and looked at Justin.

Justin smiled at Alex and removed his jacket, handing it to her. "Here. You need it more than I do." He told his friend. The pair were walking home from a party at a friend's place, and Justin volunteered to walk her home, being the nice guy he was. The two came up to the street and prepared to cross, but Justin had an odd feeling.

Alex smiled and blushed a little."Thanks Justin." she soon heard tires screeching and she stopped in the middle of the road and all of the sudden she saw headlights aiming for her."Justin...!"

Justin's eyes went wide. He didn't have time to think. All he could do was get Alex out of the way. A loud impact was heard, and everything suddenly went black.

Alex got up from the ground and she saw the car it hit a tree and she saw blood...and Justin!"Justin!' she ran over to him and she shook him."Please...don't be dead." she grabbed her phone."Hello? I need ambulance and police now!"

The ambulance and police came, and the doctors rushed out to examine Justin. They couldn't find any sign of life in Justin, so he was declared dead on impact. However, Justin had somehow began floating above the scene, invisible and confused. He watched as Alex shook his body, and realized that he was dead....but why was he here, witnessing the scene of his death? Was god rubbing it in? Or was he in this ghostly form for a reason?

Alex started to cry and she looked at Justin."PLease wake up!" she was started to be forced back by some cops while the rest got the drunks arrested. She sat down and she cried in her knees and she clenched her fists.

It was no use. The body wouldn't move. Justin's spectral form flew down to Alex's side. He couldn't bear to see his best friend cry. If only he could make her happy somehow. He loved to see her smile, and he didn't want his death to take that smile from her.

Alex soon got up and she was taken home and she kept Justin's coat and she kept it close to her. When she got him she went to her room and she put her face in her pillow wrapping herself in his coat."Justin....why....did you have to die?" she screamed in the pillow.

Justin flew after his heartbroken friend, feeling awful about this, even if he died to keep her safe. Sure, that was noble, but he felt bad for making her cry. Alex had been his friend since they were kids, and he always knew her for her beautiful smile and outgoing personality. He had never seen her cy, and he didn't like it. He was right next to her, and he couldn't help her feel better. "Alex...." He said sadly, knowing she probably couldn't hear.

Alex sniffed and she sat up and she rubbed her eyes to get the tears away."I miss you so much...also thank you for being my hero." she smiled a little and she layed down looking at the ceiling.

Justin couldn't help but smile. She was the brave one mostly, and he couldn't believe she called him her hero. She had always stood up for him, so this was the least he could do for his best friend. He tried to put his hand on her shoulder, but it went through her, removing his smile. Justin wished he could tell her he was right there. That he would make her feel better.

When he put his hand on her shoulder she had a chill and she rubbed her arms."Man its cold in here." she put his coat and she got under the covers."Goodnight Justin...where ever you are..." she smiled and she closed her eyes.
