On the train Kettil was bored. There wasn't much to do other than fuss at Endzela who alternated from perching the edge of the overhead compartment, sat on his shoulder, or when he seemed to fidget a little too much the owl also appeared on his lap to get him to sit still. There were bonuses to sitting on Kettil's lap such as getting head scritches or even just having him quietly sing to her to distract himself from boredom but there were also downsides like when he decides to perform a one owl puppet show by moving her wings to perform a dance of some sort.
Needless to say Endzela was just as relieved as Kettil was when the train finally arrived at its destination.
Kettil had been fussing around with his eyephone during the tail end of his trip but now put it away so he could get his few bags and things and then get off the train. Endzela flew ahead of him and was the first to exit perching on a nearby sign while Kettil stepped down from the train and onto the platform.
"Jack ...thought that was going to take forever." Kettil said as he started to set his bags down.
Endzela seemed to be distracted for the time being and didn't respond.

A dark shadow loomed overhead. It was gone as quickly as it came, covering the boil that had exited the train and then instantly disappearing. A moment later, there was a breeze in the air. The sound of wings beating caught the ear. A feather dropped slowly down, drifting in a slow, lazy, back and forth rhythm, until finally it touched down on Kettil's arm, harmless and unobtrusive.
Unlike the Valkyrie that swooped down like a vulture behind him and tackled him headfirst into the ground.
"HOOTER!!!" She screamed, wrapping him up in her wings even as they were on the floor and holding him like a poor, defenseless plushie. If he'd had stuffing, she would have been hugging it out of him.
"Oh Gods Oh GodsOh Gods Oh Gods I can't believes yehr finally heres!!" Her eyes were closed, because her face was smiling too widely for there to be any room for them to remain open.
Sufficed to say, the others on the platform were shocked into silence.

Kettil had noted the sound but then got distracted by the feather that touched down on his arm and then suddenly met the ground in a bit of a tumbling heap as he felt someone unfamiliar clinging to him - at least physically unfamiliar. He recognized the voice well enough as well as the fact that she'd used the nickname she'd given him.
He was marveling at the fact that he was surrounded not just with arms but by lovely, lovely wings as well. Somewhere he heard Endzela's familiar giggling. Kettil knew then what had happened - he'd been betrayed in the best possible way.
"Princess Goldilocks!" He laughed as he just let her hug him tightly. He'd return the favor but it seemed that she'd hugged him in a manner that pinned his arms down, "You got here, really fast!"
He'd honestly been expecting Lark but this was good too!

"OF COURSE I gots here fast! What yeh thinks, I walks here? I crawls here? I flies of course, as soon as yeh sends me that groansprings message I was outs my windows like a bolts of lightning. I promised yeh I woulds be here when yeh gots here, dontchyeh remembers that?" She released him, her eyes finally opening to look around curiously. "Ands I never breaks my promises. So where is Endzela? Don't tells me yeh hads her unsummoned the whole trip!"
She crawled off of him, then put both hands out in front of him, offering to help him up. That cheerful, brilliant smile never left her face for a moment, as she drank in the sight of him. Kettil! In real life! For real real! It made her giddy with happiness.

Kettil laughed as he heard Freya's response, "Of course I remember! I just didn't expect it to be within seconds of my getting off the train I guess! I'm very impressed," he said with a grin. The boil let her crawl off of him and even took her hands as she helped him up. Kettil'd heard her question about Endzela but said nothing for the moment as he pulled Freya toward him for a brief affectionate hug, "Why would I have her unsummoned?"
"If he did that to me he wouldn't hear the end of it," Endzela spoke up from her nearby perch.

Freya laughed freely when he pulled her into his arms, still jumping up and down in excitement even if it was hindered by the hug. But when she heard Endzela's voice, that sweet, sweet voice, she turned around in his arms and her eyes opened as wide as saucers.
"Endy," She breathed out reverently, lifting her arms up so that they were both held out to the owl, while still held in Kettil's embrace. "My darling. My one true loves! My little soulmates, yeh comes downs here right now and gives yehr future wife all of the loves!" She bounced impatiently, practically gleeing over the sight of the owl.

Certainly hugging her was a bit like hugging a very wiggly minipet at the moment but still he hugged and then let her go so she could turn toward Endy and address the owl who had spoken up. He folded his arms over his chest and shook his head.
Always losing to his owl. Always.
Endzela's wings opened and down she swooped toward Freya with a small happy sound, "Freya~," Endy cooed happily fully expecting and trusting that she'll be caught up into the Valkyrie's arms.
"So much love between you two," Kettil smirked a little and shook he turned to gather his luggage again. It had scattered a bit due to the rather passionate pounce of his beloved friend.

As she expected, Freya was ready to scoop the owl up into her arms the moment she was close enough, and with a lovely twirl she had captured Endy, cuddling her close against her chest. Her head bent down and she made precious little cooing sounds of affection, before she suddenly stopped and held the owl to meet her eyes.
"Yeh saids my name, Endy!" Freya giggled, that bright smile managing to burn even brighter. It was the sweetest sound in the world, hearing Endzela talk around her. It was very likely Freya wouldn't be letting the owl go anytime soon.
She turned, while still running her hand down and through her favorite owls feathers, and idly watched Kettil pick up his luggage. She was discreet, and managed to make sure her mind remained true, while still admiring distantly. "Yehr pappa, he is a beautiful mans, isn't he Endzela?" She chirped out, letting out a little laugh after it was said.

"Well, yes! That is your name~," she replied in a tone that was almost as chipper. Usually the owl was more reserved and shy but after having hung around with Freya a few times Endzela was much, much more open and free with her words and small amounts of sass. She leaned her head up and nuzzled her face against Freya's cheek and then let the Valkyrie hold her - it showed a great amount of trust for this to happen. "Mhm~. If he was ugly I'd make him wear a paper sack on his head," she assured without any remorse.
Kettil almost dropped his bags again when he heard Freya's words and couldn't stop his face from flushing a nice shade of red, "Yeah, well..."
He stared at Endzela, "You would not!"
The owl merely squinted at her summoner as if to challenge him to prove otherwise.

Kettil's reaction was priceless. Freya crowed happily, twirling Endzela around one more time before settling beside Kettil, nudging him forward. "I would helps yeh with yehr bags, yeh knows, but I has much more important cargos teh carry." She gave him a sassy look, and waited until he had his bags before leading the way. Her eyes were now only for Endzela.
"So, my precious darlings, when did yeh knows yeh were comings teh Amity? I don't remembers hearing anything recently, and then yeh just up and surprise me with that groanspring! Hmm? Why Pappa keeps this from Freya, Endy? Why is he so cruel?" She said the last few sentences while burying her nose into the face of the owl affectionately.

"Oh yeah, sure. Make excuses," Kettil teased back as the blushing eased away from his face, "see if I care." He chuckled while arranging his things for easier carrying. He honestly wasn't too sore about the whole thing of carrying all of his bags. He'd packed light just in case he had to shuffle off back home again.
Endzela reveled in the affection from Freya, "We only found out a couple of days ago," she explained for Kettil, "but it doesn't seem like it is permanent..."
Kettil shrugged a bit, "It was a letter from the Headmistress. She said that there were no enrollments going on but that I was invited to attend the play since the school is closing down soon," he finished with a bit of a baffled look and then a shrug. "I had heard the school was under a bit of suspicion but now its closing?"

Freya's joyful ease melted away, but her hold on Endzela only tightened. The gentle lines of worry started to crease her face as she looked at Kettil, then away.
"We just found outs about that, too, ja. Ach, Hooter. Things are.. nots so very goods in the schools right now. Yeh remember what we tolds yeh happened?" Her hand brushed along Endzela's feathers over and over. Her eyes kept flickering back and forth, meeting Kettil's gaze and then pulling away. This wasn't a very happy topic.
"I tolds yeh it wasn't safe here, Hooter. And now, it seems, the authorities thinks so too." Her pout came out in full force, the lip jutting out thick and dramatically. "I fears I gets teh sees yeh too little now that they're sending us homes."

Endzela let out a small sound at being held onto a bit tighter it wasn't a sound of discomfort at least not yet. The sound was meant to try and help Freya calm down when the Valkyrie's mood seemed to suddenly drop.
Kettil still smiled though he was quieter now. He nodded a little at her words but he wasn't the sort to believe in unhappy endings much less ones that would drag him away from Freya. Lark would go back home with him but Freya...She lived farther away.
"I think that it'll work out in the end. I hope it will, anyways," Kettil said after a few seconds of silence passed between them, "it'd just be too cruel to bring us together and then rip us apart again, right?"

Freya's eyes finally lifted to look at Kettil, and remained there instead of pulling away. "It woulds be too cruel." She agreed, the emphasis in her words clear. "And yet, it is what I thinks is goings teh happens."
She shifted Endzela over to one arm, curling her arm around the owl possessively, but the other hand reached out to his hand - where he held the bag. It slid to hold his hand, squeeze it, and then take the bag from him.
"But we're fightings it." She did not sound as positive as he did. "Nobody is givings up without a fights."

He grinned slightly at her words and nodded. When she grasped his hand and briefly squeezed it he felt ... oddly warm on the inside. Pleasantly warm. It was almost like it was just them and it was wonderful. He let her take the bag with a small chuckle, "Finally taking pity on me?" he teased lightly.
Endzela was content where she was and had no complaints, every now and again she leaned her head to rub her head against reachable parts of Freya's arm all gleeful and feeling safe.
"It is good that everyone is fighting it then. I just wish there was something I could do," he muttered thoughtfully and then shrugged, "I don't even know if I am to have a dorm or right now, hah. I was going to find an inn or something to check into for the time being."
