After failing to find Zinkenite with a Mau-ified Alunite, Hiro decided to go looking for the diminutive General King on his own. Hiro had followed the young man home before (not as stalkerish as they sounded, really), so he knew where Zinkenite lived (also not as stalkerish or serial-killer as that sounded, really, Hiro promised).
Hiro wanted to know what the GK's information network knew about this whole cat deal. It was also slightly worrying that Zinkenite wouldn't meet one of 'his' (Hiro's, no matter what Zinkenite thought) senshi at a pre-arranged location. Zinkenite usually took better care of his underlings than that.
Which led to this, Hiro squeezing his way through the barely-open window of Zac's dorm room. Maybe it was time to lay off the fatty tuna... Or not, there we go, shoulders through and the rest followed more easily.
Hiro paused on the inside windowsill. He tilted his head, ears pricking forward. There was an unusual sound from further in the room. Crouching down, Hiro did his best to remain hidden while he craned his neck and peered down.

There was a cat crouched over a note book, not just any note book, one of Zink’s. You could tell because the thing was a mess of odd short hand ‘Zink style’ as it were. There were odd lines, arrows lack of most vowels and numbers with words broken and rearranged to make much sense with only consonants.
The Blue and black patterns of the cat’s coat were oddly reminiscent of something, and true it felt like a chaos cat but it wasn’t a familiar one. It had ‘no business’ here in the General King’s sometime apartment, let alone going through any notebook weather it was on civilians or senshi.
Tiny claws helped the cat turn a page and indeed it seemed to be reading the mess before it, an arduous process of recollection and deciphering. A kittenish tail swept back and forth in idle thought before stopping half curled as ears perked and swiveled, suddenly suspicious.

Hiro's eye narrowed as he stared down at the feline interloper. A spy, Hiro decided. Of course it was a spy. Breaking in, reading through Zinkenite's private journals. Another senshi-turned-cat, here to steal information on Zink's forces or learn what the Negaverse knew of the senshi? Whoever it was, they weren't leaving here with that information. Not on Hiro's watch.
The other cat's ears swiveled around and Hiro knew his time was up. He had to act now before the spy noticed him fully and tried to escape.
A loud growl burst from Hiro as he leapt. Claws extended, he aimed for the intruder, not-so-silent death from above. Stupid not-a-cat, so unaware of what was going on around it. What kind of spy sat with their back to the best entry point of a room? A stupid one. 'A soon to be dead one,' Hiro snickered to himself.

The head turned, eyes widened, a split second need to react dragged on into what seemed like minutes of watching the familiar feline descend in pointy fury. “Hiro!” He said in alarm and leaped as best he could to one side, cat reflexes being what they were he wasn’t perhaps the best but made it a reasonable launch to what he hoped was out of range even as the other cat executed a neat landing behind him. “Hiro you despicable feline it’s ME!!!” He howled whirling so that he could present his own pointy ends.

"Who's despicable, you spy?!" Hiro demanded, lunging for the other cat. He had to dance to the side to avoid dragging his pointy-clawed feet over Zinkenite's precious journals, but then he was swiping for the interloper again.
"And I don't know you!"
The only cats Hiro knew were Dahlia and a handful of annoying White-Moon-serving Mauvians. This was definitely not his fellow Negaverse member. It could have been one of the cats from Chloe's stupid meeting, Hiro couldn't be bothered to remember most of them, but even so, a white moon cat had no business looking through Zinkenite's things!
Hissing madly, Hiro charged.

“ZINKENITE you a**” He yowled and swatted at the offending nose before skittering away again to try and gain higher ground. “You’re destroying my JOURNAL stop that!!’ He hissed bristling as he climbed the couch tail lashing madly before he turned to face his ‘opponent’ again. “Ask a question!! Ask me something only I would know!” He said before leaping towards the top of one of his rather ramshackle book cases to gain altitude and momentary safety.

Wait, the cat was Zinkenite? Zinkenite was a cat?! Hiro paused and sighed. Of course Zinkenite was a cat. And here Hiro and Alunite had been hoping that Zinkenite would know what was going on and how to fix it.
If Hiro could have pouted, he would have done so now. Unfortunately it was impossible for a cat, so he just sighed and stared at the smaller blue feline. "No, no, I believe you," he said, waving a paw. "Alunite has the same problem right now."
On reflection, the cat did speak with Zink's voice. Oops. In Hiro's defense, he'd been a bit busy trying to prevent a spy from Zink's notes to notice the first time around.
"So do you know how you got turned into a cat?" Hiro asked curiously. Alunite hadn't had a clue, but maybe the more intelligent Zinkenite would know. Because Zink was Constantly Vigilant after Hiro's last 'talk' with him, so he would have noticed something, right? Right, Zink???

“Given that I was sitting HERE in civilian form when said transformation happened.” He growled, his tail still lashing back and forth. “I’ve been doing research to try and locate the source but as I’ve had such a hard time getting about all I have discovered are comrades in arms that suffered the same fate. Primary speculations from Wolframite and Alunite are that the Senshi are behind it, as it was magic of theirs that caused the city wide coma to the best of our knowledge.” His hackles twitched and his tail looked like a raccoon.
“Not nearly enough pieces to this puzzle.” He grumbled and then flicked an ear suspicious for a moment. “Why, what do you know Hiro?”
