Ulmuka shuffled uneasily as people filtered towards the FEAR meters to take part in the various exams. He definitely was not a healer and he didn't think he even knew a spell so it only left the written exam and the physical. The strix did not seem to be very strong but he had a natural aversion to paperwork so he veered straight away from the written exam line and instead dutifully slipped into the Physical Examination line.
His set frown quavered from stress. Ahead of him many students were wailing on the boxes with their FEAR powers. Some were impressive and others were failures but Muka had rarely used his power and not yet had tried it at school. Nervousness was not a feeling that the strix was very familiar with so the feeling he had right now was almost completely unknown to him.
The line seemed to fly by faster than he'd wanted. He tried to laugh to make himself feel better but he wasn't finding the humor right now and everytime a chuckle would slip out the other students gave him glares. SO SERIOUS. Some very serious looking Boogeymen were also glaring and when he finally got a FEAR sensor of his own he was trembling slightly in nervous fear.
This was not the usually cheerful strix! Anyone who saw him would have thought he was a different student with the change in his behavior. He set the sensor down and stepped back, wings flexing nervously and his teeth clacking at a rapid rate, almost a beat. Muka took a step back and let out a hiss, a deep breath, as he flexed his claws. His golden eyes squeezed shut as he tried his hardest to focus his FEAR.
There was nothing for a moment and then energy started to collect around the tips of his fingers. It glowed gold and extended into nastier, longer talons than he normally sported. It wasn't impressive to look at but the strix's hands definitely looked as if they could dish out a little bit of pain. Muka opened his eyes and seemed surprised to see that his attempt was successful. He flexed his hands again and his smile slowly spread across once again. He was impressed with himself even if nobody else was!
Muka struck out with a screech, swiping the box nastily with as much strength as he could muster. The glowing talons seemed to disappear as soon as they made contact but the meter on the box shut up, more so than some others around him.
