HEADQUARTERS
STAIRWELL HALL - VELVET ARCHIVES

Stairwall Hall is the main hall between the Left Wing and Right Wing of the Velvet
Archives. It's large enough to hold inter-region dances and celebrations and has an
underground Colosseum-like area where the Wises conference. The Velvet Chronicler
makes all of his announcements in the Stairwell Hall, and staircases to its left and
right curl towards the left and right wings of the library. While Stairwell Hall is a meeting
place for Velveteers, it's accessible to all Armisticians regardless of alignment.

THE VELVET CHRONICLER
HENRI

Henri, the enigmatic Velvet Chronicler usually keeps himself busy in the Velvet Tower
where the Orbis Carta lies. He is the messenger of the goddess Armisticies and
can indirectly communicate to her through the Book as well as telepathy and the
Seeing Pool (think of a crystal ball except a giant circular pool). He is an expert bow
and has never returned a challenged un-won. Henri never fails to exhibit the nuances
of a gentleman, after all, and encourages his fellow Velveteers to do the same.

WISES
ARHAN

The Wises are the sages of Armistice. They can communicate telepathically with other
Armisticians and are allowed information on any Armisticians' Wielder World and
Armistician history. They cannot see an Armistician's Personal War. Wises have
been known to aid newborn Armisticians and are four Wises from the Archives to care
for the temples per region, therefore, there are thirty-two Wises total that tend to the
temples of Armistice. Arhan the Kilij is the Head Wise and the right-hand man of Henri;
he oversees all Wise activity.

THE INNER VISION

The inner Vision
Most sweet it is with unuplifted eyes
To pace the ground, if path be there or none,
While a fair region round the traveller lies
Which he forbears again to look upon;
Pleased rather with some soft ideal seene
The work of Fancy, or some happy tone
Of meditation, slipping in between
The beauty coming and the beauty gone.

If Thought and Love desert us, from that day
Let us break off all commerce with the Muse;
With Thought and Love companions of our way,
Whate'er the senses take or may refuse.
The Mind's internal heaven shall shed her dews
Of inspiration on the humblest lay.
