((Rolling then writing, yeah good results!))
Time seemed to move slowly as he waited for his test to arrive. It was harder to judge since all manners of way to tell time was difficult. There was no watch or clock around him, but what’s worse was there was no one around him. This ghost didn’t like being alone in the room with nothing around. It reminded him of being dead, and being inside a coffin- not that he remembers. He assumed that in his previous life, he was buried, like most dead things.
Without anything to keep him occupied. He was starting to feel the rigidity of his seat, and even tested the back rest as he leaned on it. His hand then moved across his table, feeling for the little ridges on its wooden frames when his slime-flesh sunk into it, and out. He tried digging his fingers into its ridges, hardening the slime at the tips of his fingers. He was bored, and tipping into frustration.
Thud.
The test landed in front of him. It was much thicker than he had expected, and probably because it was toosee the total knowledge that he had possessed. But it was thick. It was threatening. He wondered what questions was going to be asked. It’ll probably ask everything.
“Commence”, the test mediator announced.
He opened the first page of the booklet, and found the rules to be simple, and then instructions amusing. There were only three questions for his test, and they were to be in essay form, thus the rest of the pages; the rest of pages were blank. Do they expect me to fill it up?
First question: The Torturer Art Movement stems from the use of FEAR concentrated paint to acquire startling forms and imagery that is horrific to behold, how does the Post-Torturer movement differ?
What?! Huzzah! I can’t believe this! Of all the questions they would ask!
The slimer was exhilarated by the question before him. The smile on his face was wide. His brows up. His hand and pen was a flurry. He was writing it quickly. The answer was just flowing through his mind, and down to his fingertips. He was writing without a pause. His hand was rubbing on the page, the ink would normally just stain his skin, but through osmosis, it began to seep into his slime-flesh. It was more visible page after page of writing.
He eventually took notice of it, but thanks to his uncanny ability to move his slime body, letting the ink float to the surface of his hand as he changed the density of his slime. It moved and swirled, showing that his slime-skin was constantly moving. In fact, the student form he was holding was actually being kept check by the student pin he had. If it wasn’t there, his ghostly snotty form would be revealed because all his concentration was on his pen and the answer to the question.
I’ve got this.
Second question: There are various plants and herbs that are limited or not-accessible to students, and White Willow is one of them. Where can this plant be found? What are its properties? What are its uses?
I’m doomed. All I know is that it’s dangerous, highly contagious, and I think difficult to cure. It’s a virus, yes…
Thud. The slimer dropped his head on desk.
Doomed.
He raised his head, glared at the wide open blank page just waiting to be filled. He dragged the pen across the top of his page, barely pressing on it that none of the ink was going on the paper. He does write though. He eventually began writing everything he knew about it, which was about a page, and a sentence.
Just a sentence on a page was odd, and it grieved him. So he wrote a little bit more, dragging the pen some more, though this time, pressing enough to write. What he was writing? He didn’t even know. If you asked him after he took the test, he’ll just shrug and honestly say he doesn’t remember. It probably wasn’t worth remembering, because he didn’t even finish the page. To fill it up a little bit more, he drew a landscape scene.
Almost done.
Third question: Monsieur _______ has been attributed to being one of the greatest artists of Halloweentown, please list and describe at least 5 of his pieces.
They’ve got to be kidding me. Someone has to be rigging this test. Two art questions in one test?
The ghost was feeling lucky or blessed. Whatever it was, this was probably one of the greatest things he’s done in the academy since he got here- well of course, besides making friends.
The slimer filled pages. He zipped through the pages. His pen was nearly a blur. His writing wasn’t exceptional, but it was clear enough. His answer was going to be superb. He was an expert in nearly all things art, especially with paintings.
The test wasn’t bad at all. After handing the test back to the proctor and leaving the room, he had a wide grin on his face.
