Aea walked alone today, Lous was off somewhere, she had shooed Aea away from a couple individuals, silhouetted by the sun, began to approach from the outskirts of town. Aea frowned, not wanting to go, but Lous gave her a stern look and told her to go. When she said yawa in that tone of voice, Aea had to listen.
She hopped from cobblestone to cobblestone, trying to balance as if she lost her balance she'd fall into some pit, but, after a few hops, it lost her interest and she merely sat in the shade of one of the few small saplings she knew was in the area.
Huffing, she looked to the sky and counted the clouds.

Kalor had wiggled free from his yard. Shirshalla hadn't wanted to play or do anything with him. 'Course that wasn't unusual for her either. He was just glad she tolerated him without ripping him to pieces. Maybe a few scars would look cool, but he liked his pelt intact. As he wandered down the road, avoiding traffic and people, he spotted a lone mokai sitting by herself. Oh! Wasn't that the female who.... Eagerly he bounded toward her yapping. Maybe she would give him some pointers today. If nothing else, he hoped she would play with him.

As she stared upwards, she heard movement, from individuals, the wind, and soon, hte padding of paws on the ground. Her ears flicked, and she lowered her eyes tos ee a familiar sight approaching. A smile spread across her maw, and she brought herself to stand as he approached. THat was hte same male, wasn't it? Looking him over, his pelt, the design, those spots...those stripes, yes, she was sure. She'd never forget a pelt, a design, although she could, she admitted, forget a name.
"Hello," she said clearly as he came closer, tail swaying behind her. She was in an area where humans were less likely to walk, seeing a mokai alone, but it suited her fine.
"I'm sorry about..the other day...if I hurt you at all," she said in a somewhat hesitant tone. She loved fighting, however, she didn't like hurting others all the time, she just wanted to overpower them. "I'm Aea. Who're you, or shall I call you wild as that is what you appear by your pelt," she said with a giggle.

Kalor tried to settle down as she greeted him calmly. It was just so exciting! "Hi! It's great to see you again! How've you been since our fight?" His tail wagged happily back and forth.
He waved his paw, "don't worry about it. I'm fine. My housemate does does worse." His tongue lolled playfully out. Oh where were his maners!? He laughed delighted by what he could only take as a compliment. "My owner named Kalor." He puffed out his chest, pleased with his name. "It's nice to meet you official Aea."

She smiled at him. "So much energy, use it to your advantage, could take opponents off guard, Kalor," the name seemed to fit him. It had a bit of, flare, it seemed. It fit, and she liked it, yes, suited him well. Swaying her tail she shook herself, fur ruffling and then settling as the tingle washed over her skin and she sighed. "I've not seen you about before our match, you new around here? Just come out of the woodwork?"
She was curious.
She had to know.
Where were all of these fighters coming from, such an influx. She and Lous, they had been waiting for their time, it seemed, and no, the getting was good.
It appeared she was meeting more mokai for the first time in the pit than outside, which was a rather strange turn of events.

Kalor bobbed his head. Right use his energy. He hopped on two alternating feet then switched to the other two. "How am I suppose to use my energy? It's mine." He certainly didn't want to give it away. Settling back onto all four paws, he tilted his head. Where had he been?
"Somewhere far away. I just joined my new owner. She's nice. Is your owner nice?" He didn't remember much. Wide fields of green, and lots of puppies.

"Use it like, put a lot of it into your attacks, your strikes. The more power, or energy, you put into something, the stronger it can be. But you have to be careful to not let it get out of control, or you might hurt yourself, don't do that, it isn't fun, I know," she said with a laugh. He was certainly bouncy, but that was good, there couldn't be too many serious mokai around, if there were, Aea wasn't sure what she would do with herself.
"Glad she is nice, mine is nice too, takes me out beyond the walls into the forests to train, and relax, its calming, I like it, and so does she," she said with a little bit of pride in her heart. IT was such a blessing she and Lous had an understanding of one another.
"You should try it sometime, but only after you are ready, of course," she winked.

Kalor spun in an excited circle. He caught a glimps of his tail and kept spinning for several more rounds. Finally he pulled his attention back to the female.
"Oh I wouldn't want to hurt myself." He nodded. Maybe if he'd put more effort into his battle with her, he might have won. Well that was something to try next time, or if ever got up the courage, his housemate."What else can I do?"
He looked at her curiously. "Out beyond the walls? Oh we've never gone there. She takes us for safe walks around town. Shirshalla might be able to go out there soon. What's it like?" Kalor hoped that he and his owner would build a good understanding someday. They were still new as it was.

"There is a lot you can do, but it comes with experience, you will learn as you go, who knows, maybe next time,, if we meet in the pit again, you'll have a surprise for me, huh?" she asked smiling, watching him bounce and turn excitedly. She wished she had his energy right now, perhaps she could run a lap around the settlement or compound. "Just build your strength up, and learn to harness your energy for now, and more will come with time," she said with a nod.
She peered over to where the forest treeline was, and back to Kalor, "It is unlike anything here, you'd love it, I think. It feels, clean, new...real, if that makes sense. Almost like a dream," she truly enjoyed going out there.

Kalor turned to face her and grinned. He liked this female. "I'll do my best to make you proud." The male sat down a moment and looked around. He didn't stay still long; shifting every couple of seconds. "It's nice here actually. Pretty quiet."
He tilted his head as she spoke of the forest. "Ooooooh that sounds nice. Maybe when I get stronger I'll get to go out there too. Are there dangers out there?" He had to know. Maybe he could prove his bravery or something.

"Pfft, make yourself proud!" Aea said with a laugh, "that is what you should worry about, k?" truth was, Aea did want to make Lous proud, but, she also wanted to feel proud, like she had a strength and fire in her that none could extinguish. She had to continue to work hard, get stronger, faster, do whatever she could to continue to be as good as she could.
She thought about it, and she did nod, "there are, but you just need to know where to go and where to stay away from. Ferals live out there, but have never caused me a problem, I've nothing to fear of them, and wilds are out there, I suppose, but I've never seen one of those before. I've only heard stories."
She licked her lips, ears swiveling, "the true danger is if you got lost, so it is good to always take it slow, learn surroundings and mark your trail. I find stones and leave them alone paths I'll be on, for example."

"Right!" He nodded eagerly. Kalor was always happy with himself. So that counted right? He knew he would do the best he could. As long as he could keep moving, he felt that everything would always be right in the world.
"Ohhhhhhhhhhh," his eyes went wide. Maybe he could be the first to discover wilds! That would be totally..... AWESOME!!!! Kalor jumped back to his feet. "Where is it rumored wilds live? I mean I'm not strong enough yet, but I will be some day. And it's good they don't give you any trouble." He gave a lopsided grin.
Kalor nodded. Those were good ideas. It was unlike his owner would mark trails, but he could do that perfectly well.

Aea gave him a grin, and quirked a brow at him, "Now, I can't tell you that, not just yet, have to make sure you are ready." She also hadn't seen a wild, caught a scent of a wild, or heard anything of any sightings. They were mysterious, seemingly foreign mokai that very few were privileged to see. Only Kalor didn't know that Aea wasn't sure where they would reside. "Gotta prove yourself first, get stronger, then maybe we'll talk, yea?" he did have to make sure he could hold his own in a fight.
She stretched, yawning and let her tongue lull from her mouth before returning, and watched him.
So exciteable.
She wondered how he would progress.
"Who knows, maybe if you show me a thing or two in the pit, next time we meet, I'll give you a hint," she winked.

"Deal!" Kalor said immediately and stuck out his paw to seal it. He couldn't have her going back on her promise. Not that he thought she would, but one couldn't be too careful. He would start working on new tricks right away! His owner was sure to help him too. Maybe he could bribe Shirshalla to help. It was a thought.
"So Aea, what were you doing out here before I found you?" Random curiosity got the better of him.

She restrained herself from shaking her head at his enthusiasm and tapped her paw against his. At his curiosity she wondered how much to divulge. "My human is off doing an errand I think, so I was finding something to perk my interest for the moment before she comes back, thats all." She looked to the sky, the sun had changed position, had moved, Lous should be getting back soon. "She should be coming here shortly, least, I'm hoping so, or she can come find me later."
She yawned again, shook herself and looked to Kalor, and then the direction from which she came, "I should head back, see if she is done. But you keep true to your end of the bargain, eh? Want to see a little more strength in you next time we are matched, wild Kalor."
