A p p e a r a n c e : Lanky but growing into her height (standing in around 5'5"), auburn hair hangs between her shoulder blades, usually kept in a thick braid or up in a bun and flops in front of her green eyes more often than not. Pale skin unblemished but for the smattering of freckles that cover her cheeks and delicate nose is the only evidence of the long hours she spends tending to the flower boxes that surround her home. outfits coming soon!

<3 : fashion, books, her little flower garden, her uncle's library, cloudy days

< / 3 : freckles, loud, rude people, turkeys

F e a r s : men of higher ranks that abuse their positions

P e r s o n a l i t y ;

positive : shy, witty, intelligent, imaginative, loyal

negative : mistrustful, stubborn, insecure at times

H i s t o r y : Age 3 - When the mill her father worked at is burned to the ground and their main source of income disappears, Wren's father, Godric Burchard, enlists in the army to support his family.

Age 6 - Wren's father dies in service to the crown. Her mother, Fleta, took up a nanny job for a Lady and was gone many days and nights out of the week. Wren was effectively raised by an elderly neighbor named Old Agatha or "Auntie Aggy" to Wren, with the disease we now recognize as dementia. Fleta's meager salary provides for simple clothes and food. On rare occasions, she would bring back a book discarded by the Lady's children for Wren who learns some reading/writing from her caretaker on her lucid days.

Age 10 - Wren is a happy child, though she rarely sees her mother, she has never felt abandoned and associated her mother's visits with a book or trinket. With the money that her mother brings in, Wren as never felt "poor"--as she is used to living a simple life.

Age 12 - Several things happen this year for Wren.. She is hired by the Lady her mother works for as a tutor of sorts--since she is more literate than most of the household, which isn't saying much. It is during this time that she is first exposed to the life of courtiers and ladies and becomes enthralled by the lifestyle and fashion of the upper class. Coincidentally, this same year her grandsire on her father's side passes and she inherits a good sum of money. However it is put away in a fund and made unavailable to her until she turns 16 or gets married.

Age 13 - Aunty Agatha passes away.

Age 15 - Wren returns to her home and dreams of openning a small bookshop or a kiosk to sell the cut flowers and fresh vegetables from the small garden she keeps. She loves her garden but can never get the skirts and hats of the ladies of court out of her mind. Her mother begins an affair with an unnamed lord.

Age 16 - Wren's mother dies in childbirth and Wren's half-brother is stillborn; she never learns the identity of the father but this leads to her being a little suspicious of men. She comes to live in Sunderland, the charge of her mother's uncle Charles Goodwin, a portly scientist who has made a good life for himself by inventing small, steam-powered gadgets. He has a large library which Wren fell in love with and hired a tutor for her as well. With his status and the allowance he gives her, Wren is able to purchase some simple versions of the gowns and hats she once admired worn by ladies. She is still growing accustomed to the life of the upper-middle class but is enjoying the learning experience overall.

-insert Raven's picture/concept-

-Should be mischievious, protective and snarky but with a sweet side
-Treats Wren like something of a younger sibling, encouraging her to be more outgoing while picking little fights with her when she becomes stubborn.
