Tedan still wasn't quite sure this was a good idea. Honestly, it probably wasn't... but it had to be better than talking to Julie, right? Right? Maybe. Who the hell knew, all that he really wanted was to ask a couple of questions. Name, what the ******** they were supposed to do when one of the Horsemen got loose in a small room and two trainees were down on the floor. Seriously.
So here he was, standing outside the door of Caelius' classroom, one hand lifting slowly to knock. Knuckles rapped lightly on the door once, then again. Maybe he wouldn't be here and Tedan could just. Forget the whole idea. Or something ....

Caelius was pacing back and forth the span of the room, cell phone in one hand.
"You will get those ******** reindeer out of the weapons shed now, and dispose of them, for the love of Christ." A pause. "What do you think I mean by dispose, use a gun if you- no, I really don't care if you <******** named them, reindeer do not belong in the goddamn stables - no, you cannot move them to your rooms."
At some point, the Death Hunter seemed just about ready to throw his cell phone out the window, thought better of it, and simply snapped it closed with a small click, heading out the doorway, where a certain trainee was standing.
"Get out of the ******** way." Caelius snarled as he shoved the obstruction known as Tedan and continued walking down the hall.

Tedan blinked upon hearing what sounded like a rather one-sided conversation from the other side of the door. Something about reindeer ... what the hell? Frowning, he was just about to turn around and maybe. Come back later. When the door suddenly opened and Caelius swept outside, practically shoving him to one side so he could stalk down the hall, still talking on the phone. "Get out of the ******** way." Tedan had been about to let it go, but after that... that was rude, man. Seriously. Still, he made an effort to sound polite when he spoke after a moment, starting off after the Death Hunter. Didn't want to get a scythe at his throat, after all. "Sir, I have a question that I need to ask you uhm. After you're done with that. Please."

Tedan would have to walk in stride with Caelius to even be considered anything other than a hallway decoration, though the status of obstacle would probably remain that way for a very, very long time.
They continued walking, extremely briskly, down two more sets of stairs, exiting out the side into towards the Life Hunter/ hospital building before the Death Hunter finally stopped. "In case you can not tell, I will make this painfully clear for you: I always have work to do. Now are you going to get out of my way, or are you going to waste my time with a ******** question?"
Oddly enough, he had not even bothered to look at Tedan the entire time, instead fixating his glare at a two Life Hunters standing outside the building having a smoke, sending the two of them packing and fleeing.

Tedan was fairly good at keeping up with the Death Hunter, though he was definitely starting to consider how good of an idea this had been. And especially when Caelius finally seemed to be talking to him. Ohshit.
"Ah ... hopefully it won't waste your time, sir..." Caelius was definitely a 'sir'. "But I did have a question to ask, if that's okay with you?"

Tedan finally got a rather flat expression from Caelius. "Are you retarded or just deaf?" The Death Hunter finally deadpanned. "You are wasting my time as is, so get on with the ******** question."
Clearly Caelius was extremely tactful when it came to trainees.

Tedan actually flushed slightly at that, though he tried to fight it down. Goddammit, he really didn't need to look like a complete idiot here, come on! "Okay, so. What I wanted to know has to do with the ah. Horseman... woman. Creature that we were guarding not too long ago. I get that we were only told to restrain her or whatever, but. I mean, an axe isn't all that great at 'restraining' and really, what the hell were we supposed to do when she gets loose and starts attacking and people are falling in the water and ---"

"Then are you complaining about your weapon or perhaps, your inability to effectively use your weapon. Perhaps you should consider training as an alternate to asking questions that not only ruin your credibility but destroy any possible interest I had invested in your competence."
As Caelius talked, several Hunters stood by the doorway nervously, trying to get through the two blocking the door, but unsure of how exactly to do so without pissing a certain someone off. Finally, one of them took initiative, stepped forward-
- "You there."
- they stiffened. "Yes... sir?"
"I often question myself as to why everyone in this facility has so much <******** free time. Since both you and this trainee have free time, may I suggest you teach him how to use his own weapon?"
The Sun Hunter victim nodded stiffly, "Yes, right this way trainee." She walked a bit, until the two were far far away from a certain unimpressed stare. "So tell me a little about yourself, trainee, and oh, welcome to the suicidal division, I'm Cheryl, by the way, here for b***h duty." The Hunter commented on it rather cheerfully, as if she was used to this kind of treatment from the higher ups, as she held out her hand.

Tedan winced at Caelius' words. s**t, it did rather sound like he was an idiot when the Death Hunter put it that way. But it wasn't like that, really! Just. Argh, this had been a bad idea from the start. Then he found himself fighting not to turn even redder when he realized two senior Hunters had apparently heard the whole thing. And then he was practically shoved at one of them, who led him away from Caelius before introducing herself. "Er, hi," he mumbled, reaching out to shake her hand pretty much on autopilot, still reeling a little bit. "I'm uh, Tedan."
But that did serve to snap him out of it at least, and Tedan managed a sheepish sort of smile. "Sorry... I probably seem like a complete retard here. I'm really not that bad ...."

"Oh please, save it for the sparring, trainee." Cheryl grabbed Tedan's hand and yanked it forward, pulling the two of them at a brisk pace towards the training fields. "Despite what the higher ups might think, we actually have a rather busy schedule. Preparing for something, though I'm sure you have an idea of what we're talking about." She didn't look back to reconfirm that thought, not stopping until they had found a nicer empty portion of the field.
"So let's make this quick then, you tell me what they've trained you, and what you know from experience 'cause face it, almost everything is learned hands-on here, and then we'll practice whatever it is that you suck at. Sounds fair?"

"Well, apparently I suck at choosing when to talk to Caelius, and also at restraining an enemy without doing a lot of damage in the process," he muttered, sighing softly. Or maybe Caelius was just like that to everyone, this was really the first time he'd ever tried to talk to him one on one. "Other than that, I don't think I'm doing too bad ... I mean, I haven't managed to get myself killed or hurt a whole lot or anything like that."
