On the very front gates of Amityville, on that very Frightday morning, where students usually went in the mornings to attend classes or just peruse the hallway for their friends, they would find instead that the main gate doors were sealed closed.
Instead, a large sign hung in front of the entire school: AMITYVILLE UNDER SUSPENSION DUE TO THE QUESTIONABLE ACTIONS OF THE AMITYVILLE FACULTY AND ITS STUDENTS, AMITYVILLE IS BEING PLACED UNDER SUSPENSION FOR TWO WEEKS FOR STUDENTS TO RELOCATE. FOLLOWING SUSPENSION WILL BE THE PERMANENT CLOSURE OF THIS FACILITY. Covering a little bit of the sign were two Bogeymen, moving several students out of the way, and the school secretary in the middle of what seemed like sort of semi-temper-tantrum with the taller of the two Bogeymen.
If students drifted closer, they could hear a bit of the conversation.
"- Notice of closure!" Arel shouted, all angry arm gestures and stomping feet, "It is within our rights as a school to apply for an appeal to the closure."
The Bogeyman stared the secretary down. "We have already evaluated this facility, and the permission for closure has been granted by the Mayor, not to mention-" They frowned as they saw some of the students inch closer - "Move along now! Start packing, you miserable cretins. Amityville is closed."
OOC exclaim PLEASE QUOTE THE PERSON YOU ARE TALKING TO THANK YOU exclaim - IF YOU ARE A STUDENT RECOVERING IN THE NURSE'S OFFICE: You have been relocated to the Gym, which is actually outside of Amityville's gates. However, you cannot enter from the Gym to the inside of the school: all the doors are barred shut, and the hallways empty. - If you WERE in Amityville "overnight": you have been escorted forcefully out of the school by a Bogeymen and asked to return to your dorms - Every other student has just happened upon the incident and may react as they wish accordingly/ attempt to ask questions as they wish or speculate with each other - Be sure to QUOTE the person you are talking to so they don't get confused, that includes the gm! - This ICLY happens BEFORE the Xmas meta (a week before) and a week after the last ORP Hunter incident - Horsemen are considered to have returned at this point in the RP - Teachers and ToTers are invited too! They can either linger outside the gates as well, or offer students support, or try to confront the bogeymen as well.

Behind Arel, Cricket didn't look too pleased by the sudden suspension of the school either, her arms crossed across her chest. She'd left her.. 'relocation' in relative working order, but the look on her face said everything. Everything. She was absolutely livid. They had encroached upon her domain and messed with her things. They had touched her patients and her stuff and messed with her home.
Pure unhappiness.
----
It took all of Shehk's willpower to not immediately hiss right back at the Boogieman who told her to lay off, crossing her arms sternly and just staring back at him before she looked back to the others who were starting to assemble, offering an arm and a side to whoever was going to need it first, her face as stoic as it could be with the tension around her eyes. She was upset.
It was obvious to anybody who had spent any amount of prolonged time with her to see this. Any hatred in her features was saved for when she looked away from the Boogiemen, not allowing them the satisfaction of seeing they had upset her. And oh, they had upset her.
They had taken her, they had taken him, and now they were taking her home. They were taking away everything and she was growing more and more disgusted by it day after day.
But in that moment the thought of trying to attack one of the beasts at the gate was one that was hard to hold down.
She whispered one line underneath her breath; "We are Amityville, and we won't die."
----
"Closed?"
Tomoko seemed completely taken aback by this news, looking completely shocked. Her ears drooped sadly. Did the closure of her school mean she was going to have to go... back home? Oh Jack, she wasn't very excited for that news, to be honest. Her tails curled around her legs, and she seemed...bothered.....
To say the least.
----
Sura's face remained unchanging. She was familiar with the way things worked. She'd only been at the school for a short while, she had formed no real kinships with others, and so a small change didn't feel like it would be..bothersome..to the Colossus. But still, looking about at her peers, she could tell that it bothered them.
And that was something that did matter.
The hulking figure was not sure how to act, but she didn't move away immediately.
----
Invi was probably there with the Horsewomen somewhere, but not really out in the open yet.

Mot never expected anything like this. The reaper stopped dead in his tacks as he had made his way, peering over heads to read the sign. The sign put his heart into a full stop, and nearly put a lump in his throat. No.. no it couldn't be real! Mot loved this school with all of his heart! He loved his friends! This just couldn't happen. With a sharp inhale, Mot looked around worriedly, then ran back to his dorm. He wanted to ask why. But with the boogeymen there... No, Mot wasn't gong home. THIS was home. He'd make a stand if he had to. He just.. needed time to plan. He also needed to let Hel know what was going down right away. The reaper took out his phone as he headed to the dorms, and texted his ghoul immediately. Lucyal The school has been suspended, the gates are locked and blocked by Boogeymen. They say the school will close for good in a couple of weeks. We need a plan. ((In and out~))

"CLOSED?!"
Ren's furious shout of outrage could be heard clearly as he pushed against the crowds of people congregating at the front gates of the school, his wings pressed tightly against his back to avoid accidentally smacking someone. Up ahead he could see Arel looking livid, his pale face pink with anger as he yelled at the bogeymen, two of them standing guard to prevent anyone from passing. Ren had rarely seen the secretary lose control like he was, but these were extenuating circumstances.
Amityville is closed.
"That's a load of crap if I ever heard any," Ren snarled under his breath, low enough that it would not be heard by the bogeymen or Arel, but he could not deny the flitter of panic that had started to well up in his stomach. Without Amityville, he had no where to go - he could not go back home to his parents - would not go back to those people, not now, not ever.
Amityville was his home, not the house in which he grew up.
"And where," said Ren calmly. "are we supposed to go, might I ask? Just home?"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, somewhere behind Ren, Sparrow stood staring stonily at the closed gates, looming imposingly in front of him like a horrible blight. He had only just passed his exam to second year - why did this happen to happen now?
Or, more importantly, why did it have to happen at all?
There were shouts of anger, confused whispers, wide-eyed and horror struck students standing all around - and several of the teachers as well, though Sparrow did not know what they were thinking.
Why had it come to this? He'd heard from Arel already that the school was under suspicion, and the secretary had mentioned that it was in danger of being closed, but Sparrow had never once thought it would actually happen.
It couldn't happen. Not now, not when he and Xiu and the others had already so defiantly placed themselves to stay, declaring their loyalty to the school and its students to the secretary.
But the bogeymen were still there, and the doors were still closed.
What can we even do?

Jericho was incredibly pissed. Riley was still recovering and then these boogeymen had to move her on out. She really shouldn't be moved at all right now! Furthermore, this was because the school was being closed? What the hell was that all about! Completely livid, the dragon stormed his way to where the boogeymen were at the school's entrance. From the sounds of it, Arel wasn't happy either, not that he could blame him. "VOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!" he roared, "What the Jack is this s**t about the school closing? You can't just do that!"Did he care that the conversation was between the secretary and the boogies? No. He didn't. This place was his home, just as it was the home of his friends. If the school closed down it meant they had to go back to wherever they came from. In the case for Riley, he REALLY did not want that.

Zar had gotten up fairly early as he always did, giving up his usual fitful sleeping to finally haul himself out of bed and to get to the classes early as he possibly could to get his pens and papers organised. However he really hadn't been expecting things to be quite as chaotic as they were. He blinked. He blinked again, reading the notice a few times just to be sure. It seemed official, they were even - and he approved of this - following a period to vacate the premises. This at least was very official.
But that didn't detract from the implications of what he'd was reading. He'd only just got here! He was only just getting his chance to prove himself. They couldn't just /take it away/ like this? Where would he go after this? He'd never get a job with the bogeymen or any of the official institutions without qualifications, without exams, without official paperwork.
He could almost have started hyperventilating, but he did not. He simply wanted to judge what was even really going on, the full extent of it.
He knew this was all the fault of those damned revolutionaries, he couldn't stand the idea of it. Rebellion and chaos, stupid blind chomping at the bit of authority, this had cost him everything, he'd have to go home, he'd have to go face his father. He'd have to tell them he'd failed at what little leeway they'd given him to succeed. His tail lashed behind him in rage, his posture as rigid as it was possible to be, his clipboard held tightly enough his claws sunk into the material.
"Closed?" he all but snarled the word to no one in particular, his blind irritation winning out.. "Was there no advance notice period? Is this because of those capes?" He was ignorant to the dangers of speaking about any of this, all he knew was that he was more angry than he had been in a long time.

Mitsu had been on her way to classes as usual only to find a growing crowd in front of the usually open gate, boogies standing guard and a sign posted. Worry gripped her as she moved closer and her heart sank into the pit of her stomach. " C..Closed?" She gripped her books to her chest looking at the other students near by. Jericho was furious though she couldn't blame him. She didn't want to go home, this was more a home to her than that terrible place. How would she ever see her friends again. How would she get to see Shun? " The school can't be closed!" Mitsu complained not wanting to be shuffled off to pack. Though her eyes shifted over to see Invictus, her eyes wide seeing that he was back.

The roar of the dragon had caught Shun's attention. He had been on his way to the main school building when he heard it. While somewhat annoying, it likely meant something was up. Not to mention there was a crowd gathering at the entrance.
There was also a rather large sign hanging out in front of the entrance. That couldn't have been a good thing. The Reaper had some trouble reading what was said, but thankfully, Jericho had been shouting loud enough for him to hear. He also heard Mitsu nearby echoing that response.
It seemed the school was being closed or something to that effect. Narrowing his eyes, he glanced over at the pair of boogeys that were standing nearby. No doubt they had something to do with this. Going 'home' was not something he wished to do. His place here was better than how things were back 'home'. He knew this was the same case for Mitsu.
For now, he stepped over towards the wolf girl with his hands in his pockets, looking more displeased than usual. There, he just watched and listened.

No.
Oh Jack, no.
Xiu had known that there was a chance that this could happen, but she never thought it would really happen, and so soon too. Arel had said that the staff were fighting to keep things going, and that had been enough to get the baku to settle down and believe--hope--that it would be enough to keep the school going. She loved Amityville. In the time that she had been here, she had managed to meet so many people and become close friends with some of these individuals. It wasn't to say that they would never see each other again if the school closed, but...
Boogeymen or not, the little baku pushed through the crowd and moved closer when she heard Arel yelling. She settled herself between her fellow students, giving a little shiver as she heard the angry protests from the others.
"Mister Arel!" She called out, cupping her hands around her mouth in an attempt to draw his attention. The baku's ears drooped as she looked between the sign and the secretary. "Is...is it really...?" Wasn't there anything they could do? Surely the boogeymen could not kick all the students out like this! There wasn't even any warning!

Quite a lot of commotion had alerted the witch to something going on and natural curiosity served its use, for once. But being totally and completely out of the loop made things a bit more difficult for all these things were going on and all these people were talking and Belladonna was very, very confused. "Um... Miss Cricket?" The witch squeaked behind the woman, glad for once to be small in stature for it had made the obstacle of pushing past students easier. "Why are they saying the school is... Closed? Schools don't close, not even for holidays. It doesn't... Make sense." She frowned and puckered her lips and then shot a nasty glare to one of the Bogeymen. They didn't look friendly and since they were being rather pushy, the witch stuck out her tongue for extra measure. And someone said something about the dorms? But! Where was the witch to go? There was no way her family was going to take her back in after her little self-imposed-imprisonment stint, so where else? She had some friends... But none of them were close enough to offer their homes. UGH. This was really bad and Belladonna didn't even know why!

Yǐn Cáng did not particularly like crowds, but seeing such a crowd at the gates of the school was enough to convince him to check it out. As usual he hugged the outskirts of the group, trying to figure out what was going on. Ren's helpful shout of outrage gave him a pretty good idea. Closed? What...how can the school close? He looked around, noting the turmoil before the rest set in. How could he pack, he did not own anything. There was no where for him to go, and the entire idea made him furious. He wanted to punch something. Kick something. Hearing that the school was closed made him feel like he was out of options. He hated that feeling. Antennae twitching angrily he scanned the crowd for Alexander. The boil knew quite a bit, even though he was new to the school. Maybe he had read something in those articles that would make this make sense.

Closed. The school was to close.
And all that Natalia had ever worked for, all that had ever made any sense to her would be gone. The only place that felt like home would be left to rot. She expelled a heavy breath, tail waving behind her as the approach hastily brought her to stand in beside the rest of the student body; a look that blended confusion, dismay, and anger perfectly.
"What is the meaning of this?! Closed, Amityville can not be closed!" She wasn't talking to anyone in particular, just roaring over the chatter of others, saying pretty much the same thing as everyone else.

It couldn't be true. Tsetsiliya gaped at the sign in disbelief as students milled about her. Shouting came from every which way, but her eyes were drawn to the secretary himself giving a piece of his mind to the boogeymen. The poludnica merely returned quivering eyes to the sign and felt sick in the deepest reaches of her stomach.
"N-No.. this.. no.." Her hands clenched into small, trembling fists in front of her before unfolding over her mouth. This couldn't be right. There was no way. Sure, there was the incident with those.. those hunters, wasn't it? There was the incident with the field trip (remembering the days that had followed dropped ice into her innards). The ghoul had no rightful idea what was really going on, and frankly she was very scared. But closing Amityville.. who was to say that the hunters wouldn't show up elsewhere? Why was Amityville any less safer than anywhere else in Halloween? She didn't understand.
What scared her even more was leaving the place she had made her first real friends in.. the place that had become home. There was no other place that made her feel as such. Going back home, no, going back to Madam Morrigan's would destroy her. She couldn't let this place she loved close, but what could she do?
Tsetsiliya's eyes whipped back and forth, trying to find someone familiar in the crowd. She had heard familiar voices (there was no doubt that that loud yell earlier had been Jericho), but at first she saw none she recognized. Luckily, she managed to catch sight of a tanned face with dark freckles on the edge of her vision and gravitated towards it. However all she could do was look up at the boil pathetically.
"R-Ren.." Her hands clasped together nervously, if only to keep them from trembling. "What.. what do we do.. ?"

The day had begun bad enough already for Merope. It wasn't enough to have recently returned from a prolonged year two advancement vacation in the middle of the night. Nor was it the fact that he realized belatedly that he had attached his left hand backwards. His issue was his alarm clock. After two months of dealing without, he had received a rather rude awakening by his helper minipet to get up, towel off, and haul tail to class,
Or rather, what would have been class. Merope brushed a strand of wet hair out of his eyes as he stared at the gathering in front of the school, ear-fins stretched and flicking to catch every word. Mostly every word, actually. Merope couldn't stop the large yawn that slunk its way out of his throat, his hand barely rising in time to muffle it.
"I guess no school today, huh?" He commented out loud to no specific person, his tail swishing from left to right thoughtfully. "Or is there something in pzrticular going on that I'm missing...?"
If school was indeed closed for the day, the undead boil would swiftly discover how bored he was about to become. Perhaps he returnef fro his vacation way too early.

Gene's response to all this was a simple What the Jack? muttered under her breath, before approaching the gates of the school. She had learning to do, friends to make, so on and so forth. This place gave her a sense of longing, completion. No way were a bunch of angry students going to stop that.
Oh, well, maybe the boogies would.
Lost in general the stew of confusion, anger, and desperation, Gene didn;t know what she was to do. Cry? Maybe. Yell? That was always a possibility. Ask someone just what in the name of Halloween was even going on? Probably the best solution.
In a flash, Gene was at the side of Xiu, who she'd seen audition for the School Play. She was a second year, right? Maybe she was in the know?
"Excuse me, Xiu, right? Could you tell me what's going on?I'm recently new, so..."
