It may be a good idea to have a personal thread here as well, not that I'm expecting anyone to really spend any time here. Might end up doing parallel rants with my other thread.
Either way, get to know me:
I'm 20, bisexual, and still unsure of whether or not polygamy is even something that fits me. Experimentation and information lead to results. Mainly the experimentation, really. I'm quiet most times, but can easily go on rambling for hours with the slightest provocation. My inhibitions vary wildly depending on mood, time of day, temperature, direction of the wind, and various other variables that may or may not have anything to do with anything at all. I'm...quirky, at best. slightly annoying at worst, and I have a bad habit of having a really mild sense of humor. Music is an addiction, quite literally, and I share it like the air we breathe. I try to write constantly, but I find it works best when it shouldn't at all. Like when I'm trying to fall asleep, or at work.
I'm adventurous, and I enjoy experience. Doing things for the sake of doing them. I drink almost as much tea as I do water and coffee, I hate 4 PM, and my in person social life is dead. I'd love to be a musician, but I can't even afford a bass right now, so that's not even a possibility at this point. I'm stubborn, but not exactly determined, but I always accept and tease new ideas about anything that comes by.
I also realize now that I should stop going on before I start to sound conceited.

Saew Oral Steering Wheel I also realize now that I should stop going on before I start to sound conceited. Hey, that's part of what these threads are for! Oh, and you need this. ... I don't think any combination of letters can describe the sound I just made seeing that again. I wasn't even thinking of that when I made the title of the thread.

Oral Steering Wheel ... I don't think any combination of letters can describe the sound I just made seeing that again. I wasn't even thinking of that when I made the title of the thread. One of my useless talents you may have noticed is talking with media from the web sweatdrop I've got a nearly bottomless photobucket, and if I don't have what I am looking for, I can find something suitable fairly quick.

It's fine. I find words work to my advantage anyway. ... Maybe if I stay up for endless hours tonight and sleep when I feel like it, I could make progress on my story? Look at the story. End of the world scenario: The world has reached it's end due to some catastrophic event; the vitality of the world itself is waning. The sky is stuck in an eternal twilight, the sun hovering, burning just above the far horizon. The heroes, a stoic and generous ranger type and his friends, the rough but kind warrior, the subtle rogue who tends to cause more trouble than she gets into, and a quiet healer plagued by visions of the future both good and bad, seek to find what caused the catastrophe and see if it's undoable. The wildlife, the despair, and even the land and sky itself are against them, nature's fury at being deprived of it's sustenance. Along the way, they meet many others who knew of the even and they help them along. Epic sounding story, if a bit played out in the basics. The details are what make the story. But the one detail that will totally throw everyone off is the source of the inspiration. Yes. This is the idea behind my ponyfic.

You said you were drawing on the Fallout series, yes? Only in the sense that I needed a bleak atmosphere and an apocalyptic kind of mindset. There's nothing really related to fallout in any way in the story. It's a unique kind of idea I had that is, actually based on a comparison between two of Tara Strong's characters she's voice acted for. Raven and Twilight Sparkle. I believe I linked to it before. It kinda hit me like a tsunami of inspiration, and much like the natural disaster, left a wake of destruction and dampness. At least, mentally.

I've found that for some reason, I get my writing done a but more effectively, but much less efficiently when I write scenes and piece it all together as I go on, writing in the transitions and in-betweens as I work it. For this one, for some odd reason, I really want to try a once in a while swap-out where it takes place from first-person. Most of the time, standard third-person omniscient, but just once in a while, maybe at the start of each chapter, or something, take a first-person from the main-main character. Edit: For some reason, I went on google to do a search for "Moist.jpg" and there, on page one, is Applejack, looking really, really happy about something. I'm slightly confused, really.

"Number of the Beast" by R A Heinlien had a variable first-person point of view. Good story if you like some older scifi.

Pfffffft. I'm not sleeping yet. I'm listening to this while trying to figure out if I'm going to eat anything. And also, imagining a pony dance number to that song, too. I don't know why.
