She was leaving Knightside when the flyer caught her eye. What was this? Millicent skipped over to the board where the flyer was tacked, and looked at it for a few good moments. A food drive? Helping people less fortunate?

What?

The redhead grabbed the flyer then held it close to her face. This was it! This was what she wanted! This was a great way to show everyone that she was a helpful Jedi! A good and gracious person who wanted to give back to the community! Millie laughed to herself, then began running home, clutching the flyer in her hand tightly. Her mom would need to see proof to know that she wasn’t just being silly and trying to save the world on her own…again. No, this was a city wide event! Maybe she could even get Jett and Minny to help her with collecting!

That was the perfect idea! The most perfect! This would be a training lesson for her padawans! Sometimes, sometimes Millie found out she was completely brilliant, even more so than she had ever thought before. She ran into her house and into the kitchen.

“Mom! Mooooooom! Mom I need cans of food! I need lots of cans of food! Like, all of the food cans we have, Mom!”

Bellatrix looked down at her daughter, giving a slight frown. “You…want a can of food for you snack? But I had made you cookies…”

The child let out an exasperated sigh. “No! No mom! I’m going to be a super hero and train my padawans to do good for the community!” She held out the flyer and put her other hand on her hip. “You see! There’s a big food drive! Mom! We need cans of food! I’m going to be a super hero…a super hero to end all super heros! I’m going to be the very BEST!”

If Bellatrix had been worried before, that was clearly gone now and she laughed, nodding and pushing the plate of cookies closer to her daughter. “I’ll see what we have in the cupboard, honey. Why don’t you go and get changed out of your uniform. I’ll pile the cans up, okay?”

Millicent grabbed a cookie and put the flyer on the table, running upstairs, munching on the crunchy sweet treat. Yes! She knew what would make this even more better! She would dress like a Jedi while she collected cans! It was perfect!

The child ran to her closet and pulled out her Jedi outfit, quickly changing out of her Knightside uniform and into the soft tunic, pulling her black boots overtop of her Christmas socks. She was grinning broadly as she pulled her brown coat over herself then looked in the mirror. This was going to be perfect! She would show the world that real heroes still existed…and she would show the world that the Jedi, the good guys were going to win every time! That’s what they were there for! To help people and protect the innocent!
After getting dressed, Millicent ran back downstairs, excited to see the cans that her mother had provided, and to get another cookie.

Bellatrix hadn’t disappointed. On the table were about seven cans, stacked into a neat little pile.

This was perfect!

After shoving another cookie into her mouth, Millicent scooped up all the cans, then ran upstairs, tossing some of her stuffed animals out of the corner of her room, she put the cans there. This would be her ‘spot’. She would wait until she was done collecting her cans before she delivered them. She had to make a goal now! A hundred? No…a thousand? No, that seemed to be too much. The child frowned for a moment, then smiled. “Two hundred and twenty seven cans!” Her goal was set, now she just had to make it.

Only two hundred and twenty more to go!
