Today was another one of those lazy, lounge-around kind of days for the brown leopard. The weather was perfect this afternoon, the sun not too hot upon her back, so she gratefully let her body lay loose on top of a flat rock, just as a lizard would do. She felt completely and totally at peace with herself and her body, her eyes closed to the world around her and her ears open to the sounds of the savannah that engulfed her. Once in a while, the tip of her tail would lazily twitch, her body not quite as under the spell of the sun as she would have believed to be. Perhaps it was her body reminding her that she was still very much awake, no matter how unconscious her relaxed body may appear to be looking like. Ah, yes, this was seeming to be the perfect day for Shinrin today. Just her, comfort, and a sense of safety. What more could anyone really ask for? It was more comforting than she could dream of to have such a pleasant sense of inner and outer peace with the world, especially when many things in her life should be making her feel quite the opposite. Yet for now, Shinrin would just take the day how it was coming to her, apathetic to much else at the current moment. She would not think of the future, and she would not think of her past. She would simply live in the present as of right now.

Dysi bounced a little as he walked, happy to be out for a stroll. He loved his cubs, he did, but it was nice to sneak away and have some alone time for a bit. He’d never leave them unattended, so they were being watched, of course. He didn’t need to worry over them, but even as he walked, he kept spotting things to take back to them, or places that he could take them to play.

You could take the father from the cubs, but he was still a daddy, he mused to himself, with a chuckle. He loved being a parent, so it was hard to separate himself from that part of him.

Spotting something in the distance, stretched out over a rock, Dysi took a deep, curious breath, finding the scent of the creature to be that of a leopard. A female leopard. Wonderful! He could do with some adult company this beautiful day, he decided, bouncing forward towards her.

Greetings, m’lady,” he called out brightly, hoping he hadn’t mixed up the gender of the leopard and he wasn’t going to get yelled at by an annoyed male for mistaking them for a girl…

Although her conscious was still in a state of a trance from being so deeply relaxed, her subconscious had somehow picked up on a new voice calling over to her. Could she seriously have been resting long enough for another being to reach an inappropriate distance away from the rock that she rested on top of? Even with such a possibility, the voice reached her ears harmless enough, and she was still, honestly, too tired to almost make up her mind as to what she thought about it. Still without opening her eyes, she loudly and lazily yawned, stretching out her legs, shoulders, jaw, and claws as she began to attempt to wake herself from her seduction under the sun. She smacked her lips, her tongue still a bit dry and stuck to the roof of her mouth. She winced gingerly as she attempted to open her eyes, the sun glaring harshly into them after being shielded by her eyelids for such a prolonged period of time. After she had finished with all of these actions, it was then when she finally looked upon the figure that was calling over to her; a lightly colored leopard individual, simply looking upon her with a cheery expression plastered on his face.

"Hmm?" Clearly, her brain was still not fully functioning quite just yet, still trying to work itself back into living and acting within the present. "Oh, yes. Hello there~" She had finally managed to get a reply, not even caring if this newcomer had any poor, or even fallacious, intentions with her. Besides, the greeting that she believed that she had heard sounded innocent and friendly enough; and if that evidence was still insufficient, the "puppy dog" look that was beaming over to her simply "sealed the deal" for her. She was taught to be friendly to others, anyway, so being rude just wouldn't suit her own personality properly.

Surely, she could be more formal than that! Her pleasant, adult-like maturity that she had to adapt to while she was on her own, caring for her younger brother, had taught her to behave in a much more formal manner. Briefly, she stretched out her legs and back once again, listening to and feeling the cracks that her joints made when stretched apart. Even like a dog, she shook around her coat and skin, trying to fully awake herself to the conscious world that continued to exist around her. "Is there anything I can do for you?" Ah, yes, that was the formal language of which she was more comfortable and familiar with! Perhaps he needed directions of some sort, or maybe a kind and helpful tip from around this area of the savannah. If he needed any such thing, she would be more than happy to assist him! Even a general conversation would be comforting to her ears and to her heart.

As she took a while to wake up properly, Dysi took the time to examine her. She was a very pretty female and quite obviously a female now that he was close enough to see her properly. A lovely find for the afternoon! He enjoyed being in the presence of others, especially females as they were less likely to get irritated at his feminine attitude. Sometimes they were just as aggressive as males, but his attitude usually threw them off for a while, so if they were aggressive, he could at least make a quick get away.

Her formal language dimmed his smile somewhat, but she wasn't being rude or blunt, just formal. She still seemed nice, so he continued to smile at her.

"Oh, no," he hurried to explain. "I was just out for a walk and thought I would come over and say 'hi'." Well, this was getting awkward, he realised. "So, uh, hi?" He chuckled, still smiling.

"I apologise if I disturbed you," he added, realising he had woken her form a nap, just to say hi. He was acting selfishly. How rude of him. He shot her an apologetic look, coupled with a shy smile.

She chuckled warmly, her laughter gently seasoning the air around her. It was either her airy state of mind from being freshly awoken from her slumber, or this male was seriously adorable and had an odd captivating, but charming, touch to his being. He seemed innocent enough, just as he appeared to be in the first place, and it wasn't as if he would harm her, anyway, so what negatives could come out of having a friendly conversation with such a lovely gentleman? "I couldn't possibly look that intriguing to converse with, could I, sir?" She purred lightly, swishing her tail a few times with content. "But nevertheless, hello~ It is nice of you to stop by!"

Although the look of sleep still grasped at the corners of her eyes, they glinted warmly and compellingly at the male, not upset in the least that she had been awoken from his approach. Again, she couldn't help but to chuckle innocently at his formal apology. She truly appreciated such a thing, but he had no need to apologize to her! "Oh no, don't be so formal! It was probably a good thing that you woke me up, besides! I've been getting more sleep than is probably healthy for me within the last few days, anyway, so I don't mind at all." In an attempt to expel the remainders of sleep that was left within her body, she yawned lazily and shook her coat once more. "I believe it is my turn for me to apologize, sir, for not being polite. Allow me to introduce myself, please! My name is Shinrin, and it's very wonderful to meet you!"

She now sat up fully, her tail neatly and properly wrapped around her paws. Whatever feelings of sleep that she had left were the ones simply dwelling in her muscles from her recent inactivity, but other than that she had managed to rid herself of it. She was used to being polite and having manners, but she was also used to having them being used on her in return. So far, so good! He was being very formal back to her, and even his aura was warm and friendly, so she was having no problems at all with his presence. However, he had yet to give her a name, and without one she felt very rude to address him. "If it would be alright, may I ask what your name is, sir?"
