Snow. It was cold and unfriendly toward anyone who welcomed it, like an ice queen who sat alone in her frozen castle, it was dangerous if you weren't prepared for it. And being on the battlefield in the snow was surely worse. Niichan shivered slightly, attempting to rub her slender muffled hands together for an attempt at warmth. "It's coooold!" she cried aloud, a violent sneeze following soon after. "Warm cookies sound soooo good right now, I miss them!!"
"Shut up Niichan or they'll hear you!" a tiny voice spat from under the blanket of snow. Niichan frowned as she leaned over to where the voice had come from and with a finger, tapped the blanket. "Bad Mr. Kitty! You be nice or after we save Gaia, no treats for you!" The pile of snow twitched slightly and from it, a small white kitten was seen. It's pink ears and nose the color of blush and the eyes of the sky, it was covered in what appeared to be an arctic camouflage outfit. The kitten glared at Niichan, adorably anger filling his eyes and Niichan glared back. All was still and silent as the two glared...yet in the near distance, something was approaching and Niichan soon caught sight of it.
"Uhmm... Mr. Kitty..." Niichan started nervously to the kitten, who did not move in the slightest. "I'm not falling for it, i'll win this!" the kitten shouted. "Mr. Kitty..." Niichan squeaked, her voice escaping just barely. The kitten shook his head proudly and with that, Niichan picked up the kitten and turned it around. The kitten squeaked lightly as a sea of gray inched closer and closer. The Zero Bot Army. Wielding axes and completely shrouded in a dull gray, they were terrifying in appearance and their numbers were great. As Zero Omega continued to take away the treats of Gaia, leaving the good children Christmas-less and Gaia a bleak, hopeless land, the army had to be stopped and eventually, Zero himself.
"Niichan, get ready!" the kitten shouted, hopping to a higher pile of snow. Niichan nodded, her body trembling. There were many Gaians fighting to save this wonderous land that we all called home, but there was always that thought of failure lurking in the back of her mind. That thought that if they had managed to fail, Christmas and every last treat of Gaia would never be seen again. Niichan grabbed for her weapon, a slim black scythe, whose blade gleamed in the snowy sky and she ran toward the army for her first attempt at battle. With her eyes shut, she took a swing at a single bot that seemed to be ahead of the others, hoping for the best. Opening her eyes, she gazed upon the bot who was hit, a single infliction rested upon it's metal exterior. "First hit down, plenty more to go." she thought to herself as the bot halted just for a second and attempted a swing at Niichan...

December 07, 2011 - Attempt #2 (Final for Day)

"Gahh!" Niichan exclaimed as she quickly jumped back, attempting to get out of the way of the axe's monochromatic blade. She landed ungracefully into the snow, tripping over her feet from the leap, but as she glanced at her body, checking for any possibly fatal wounds. There were none. "Be more careful!!" the kitten raged, hopping upon the snow mound in fury, scratching the Bot pets that came toward it. "You'll get yourself killed just rushing into battle!" Niichan laughed. Although she could see the kitten was angry, it was still adorable. She carefully and rapidly rose to her feet focusing her attention back to the bots. So many of them against just her and Mr. Kitty. The odds of them winning seemed thin, but they had to try right?
As the injured enemy moved in for another swing, she made a dash to the right of the grey terror, attempting a strike aswell. Success! Niichan smiled widely. She was hitting fast and hard and the enemy appeared to be weakening significantly. But this time, it wasn't the only one to get hit. Niichan glanced at her arm as a trail of red warmth ran off her arm and dripped from the tips of her fingers, staining the pure white snow. There, a significant cut had been made and with it, brief amounts of pain attacked her. Niichan cringed, but thankfully, it wasn't too big of a pain or fatal. "Mr. Kitty, get ready, the army's getting really close now! We have to finish them soon!"

"I'm on it!" the kitten exclaimed. Niichan hurried to the little area they had made their base, quickly grabbing what looked to be grenades and handed them to the kitten. It was now or never to defeat this army and Mr. Kitty wouldn't accept never. "Say hello to my little friends!" the kitten stated. Niichan shook her head, "You're a idiot, just finish them off."
The kitten growled to Niichan. "Want me to blow you up too?" Niichan glared and thumped the kitten. They had a very strange friendship, in a way it seemed like a rivalry. But they got along in the end, and that's what mattered more....right? Once the army got closer, the kitten began his attack and with that, earned them their first victory. (Kind of a random post, i'm sleepy xD)

Mr. Kitty and Niichan sighed in relief. "That was...a bit more difficult than I thought." Niichan stated, turning to her wound. She scanned the little area they had made their base and soon found a first aid kit, in which she grabbed a band aid to stick on her cut. "Just a band aid?" the kitten questioned curiously.
"Yeah, i'd rather save the other stuff for any wounds we might get later...i'm sure one army isn't all Zero has to have...right?" Niichan answered. "You're right..look." Niichan looked up, spotting a sea of red and yellow slowly approaching in the distance. "They don't waste time do they?" The kitten nodded in agreement. He looked around and grabbed what seemed to be a grenade, attempting the previous winning move, he threw it at the army. Plopping into the snow, they waited for the explosion, but...there was none. "What's going on, why-?" the kitten started, scanning their mini camp. The problem soon became evident as right next to the weapons, was a small pile of what appeared to be fake weapons. "Why, do we have those????" the kitten raged, a memory soon coming to his mind of his purchases at a local joke shop. He facepalmed.

Niichan threw the box of fake grenades at the army. Although they were fake, she wanted to get rid of them completely for future battles. The army was too far away for any to hit. This battle had a very bad start for our Gaian heroes.
